Hello everyone!

I am struggling with protein. I usually have a protein shake with my coffee in the morning and I keep some protein bars on me for something throughout the day. What are you eating/drinking for protein. I’m not getting enough and would love some suggestions!
I struggle to keep my protein lower !

Daily macros at the moment meant I’m having

Greek yogurt with whey protein mixed in for breakfast (there’s other stuff Inadd in there but you asked for protein )

Lunch chicken breast 200g

Dinner mince meat 250g that takes me to 175-180g protein daily.

It’s very easy to get the protein tbh without having to eat bars or shakes. But you could always try clear whey which taste more like

Juice incase you find normal protein shakes to heavy l.

Historically ate chicken, eggs , veggies, etc, but now more of it. I'm like cool hand Luke with boiled eggs. Always ate them, but now I eat roughly 2-3 a day. I usually throw a protein shake down my throat for just to do as much protein as I can. Cottage cheese with fruit is a go to as well.

Are there any protein powders or shakes anyone recommends. I haven’t found a powder that I enjoy yet. I have significantly reduced my sugar intake. I purchase no sugar items.
Nutricost French vanilla taste just like coffee creamer

I miss when whey prices didn't climb so high. I would use they so supplement some protein.

I go through a ton of Greek yogurt. Love the Ratio brand. Other than that I will do protein shakes.

I'm a huge fan of greek yogurt - i mix some hemp hearts and chia seeds in there for fiber and healthy fat, and i recently got a package of the Catalina Crunch cinnamon sugar cereal from Costco and have been dropping some of that in there too. pretty tasty.

I may skip Cagri tomorrow and hope I get a little of an appetite back. It’s given me sooo many aversions and I need to be able to eat stuff again. I’ve let too much food (yogurt and cottage especially) rot bec everything makes me gag

I drink a lot of clear protein for water. My favorite is watermelon oath powder. I also like ryse country time lemonade.

Hitting my macros and protein used to be challenging but I eventually figured it out. I start my day with a serving of nonfat Greek yogurt. Add a scoop of protein powder and 2 tbsp of whipped topping. Sometimes I add blueberries or granola for carbs. This meal is my GO TO! I also eat cottage cheese every day and I swap sour cream for Greek yogurt. Fat free mozzarella has a lot of protein as well. And usually for lunch on the go is canned or rotisserie chicken ( I cook the was off in a pan for a few minutes mixed with a green superblend. And I bulk cook a family pack of chicken thighs once a week. Good luck!!

Ditch all of that and switch to whole foods. Eggs & turkey sausage or cottage cheese in the morning. Then chicken, beef, pork or salmon throughout the day.

Chicken and tinned fish. Whole Foods has grain packets you can toss in the microwave. Big protein and fiber numbers.

One of my favorites is oikos protein yogurt plain. 25g protein for 170g of yogurt and like 150 calories. I do that with some fruit and its a great meal.

I try to get the protein in early in the day... Breakfast is typically Orgain protein drinks, Quest protein bar, built puff bars... and my lunch is like 2 eggs, 8 oz of chicken, 2 cheese sticks and some carrots... After that if I eat a bit more "Loose" I don't feel so bad.. although i'm simply not able to eat as much now.. bad or good food for that matter.. but it's still a win.. Good luck!

You are on the wrong forum. Got to MesoRX - https://thinksteroids.com/ for body building.

I use Kefir, greek yogurts, Costco best deal of the month Protein shakes, fish, lentils. We do home cooking to minimize ingesting junk that increase Reactive oxygen species (ROS). Favoring proteins and fibers (fruits/vegy). Roasted chicken, no skin. Google it. Ask Gemini for a detailed protein plan. For 100g per day, those proteins shakes/mix, look most affordable.
That's a good way to look at the ROS of things... high fives

I absolutely hate eggs but I’m trying to learn to love them. I just don’t know how to cook them.
Try some of these....

Hard boiled eggs were somewhere near the bottom of my fan favorites because of the cooked yolk. Somehow growing on me...
Soft boiled eggs are my favorite. Boil the eggs for 6 minutes and then move them to an ice bath to cool them down quickly. Whites are cooked but the yolk is still runny and delicious. Mmmmmmm.......

This leaves room for some snakes during the day.
I know you meant snacks (or at least I hope you did), but I can't stop imagining someone just sitting there eating snakes throughout the day now. lol

Boba Tea Protein

I LOOOVE boba teas. This company managed to make some boba tea protein powders that taste damn good, don't have a ton of carbs, and their clear fruit teas are delicious too. They get a fair amount of my paychecks. lol

Making homemade paneer is very easy, and quite high protein! Boil then curdle milk, strain, chill, eat!
I am gonna need more info. I love paneer and love making cheese. Feel free to DM me with details if you'd like. Also hello from a STL native who moved away! I miss Imo's so friggin much!

I don't know who all is like me and enjoys savory food more than sweet. Getting a bunch of protein on the go can be a struggle in that case. I did find a company that makes some savory protein powder recently. I have some of their sampler packs to try out, but haven't as of yet. I will report back with how they taste when I give them a go. I am thinking I will put it into some cottage cheese to up the flavor and protein to try.

Meal Boosters

I also usually get the savory hot meals from Huel. Easy to keep a bag or two in my desk at work and all I need is a bowl and hot water to make it. Though they are kinda pricey and I find a bit bland. Nothing a few spices can't perk up.

Huel Hot meals

For all of you on the boiled egg train, have any of you all tried marinated eggs yet? Absolute game changer for me. I can't get enough of them now. Dice up half an onion and some green onions, add in equal parts low sodium soy sauce, rice wine vinegar (I prefer sweet rice wine vinegar for the flavor but you do you), and water. After you boil your eggs, peel them, and then soak them overnight in the marinade. Then down the hatch. Sooooo good. Very similar to the eggs you get with ramen at any decent ramen restaurant.
