Thank you brothawoundcarping said:Two grams in the morning, two at night. Ideally it be split for mid day as well, which I did 3x daily for the first couple months or so (3g daily then).
I get two bottles a month delivered, I skipped this month to burn through some extra bottles I have.

Thanks Cathy. Will have to review the latest fish oil studies.CathyGoesFar said:The evidence for fish oil has gotten less and less positive over time except for specific situations(very high triglycerides, preterm birth). The evidence for cardiac benefits has mostly reversed to it being shown to be detrimental. Doctors are behind(as usual) and some physician organizations have had their guidelines impacted by people that own fish oil companies. I suggest you take a look at the newer studies if you are still being told it's good for heart health.
I take:
Kelp powder for iodine and dental health(standardized iodine content)
Vitamin D for chronic deficiency
Inositol 40:1 for reproductive system support(2,000mg:50mg twice daily)
B12 weekly lozenge
Ritual Iron w/500 mg vitamin C three times a week for iron deficiency due to my cycle going nutso and making me bleed for 3 week long stretches(daily iron creates more hepcidin which interferes with iron absorption). I've tried cheaper forms but the expensive stuff does work faster. Anemia is miserable. It's non-heme but my blood test results show it working very well.

What form is that glycine in? My sleep has sucked lately.woundcarping said:Glycine and Taurine are to help sleep, glycine seems meaningful,

I get mine from Amazon or the Ritual website. Basically whoever is running a sale. Right now it's the website. Their website signs you up for a subscription but they are very clear about sending reminders and it's simple to cancel. They don't make you jump through hoops.kobeanbry24 said:Thanks Cathy. I should let my wife know about Ritual Iron, where do you get yours from?

It's a powder/granule if that's what you mean.BNLFL said:What form is that glycine in? My sleep has sucked lately.

I had never heard of 5htp before, just read a little info about it. That's amazing. How did you find out about it?amosmylove said:I also take an organic 5htp supplement every night which has been an incredible life changer for me...I weaned myself down to 50mg over the last year and started 5htp overlapping and I've been 5 months antidepressant free and I feel so much better in many ways. My brain fog is gone. My morning inability to wake up is gone. I mean, definitely not a morning person still but when I make up I'm lucid and sharp and chose to get up vs snooze for hours. Plus the libido has improved so another win.
Anyways, the 5htp is the only thing I take religiously. The others are several times a week.
