I liked the buzz-kill lawyer in the article. But not mentioned was the possibility of civil lawsuits as well.

It is really freaking sad. I was hanging out with some 20 somethings last weekend and girls under 25 are talking about getting botox injected over their eyebrows. WTF.
Sometimes when I want to angry up the blood, I’ll look at some various peptide related threads on Reddit. Shocking amount of 18-25 year olds looking for information, and even sadder, 14-17.

Put aside the ridiculous posts where the usual cringy questions get asked. “How many ml do I take?” without mention of concentration. Or “what peptides will give me x/y/z”, where I notice the “give” term..

It’s disturbing to hear them ordering from TikTok. Now, I fully am aware the irony as we all get our various items from shady places, but getting it off social media seems extra strange.

Sadder still is how these kids feel like they NEED these things, to date, have friends, or keep up appearances, etc. I don’t have kids so I am not in tune with what’s going on with certain generations but it sounds real rough.

Lastly, the thought of these kids not doing any research on what these peptides are, what they do, that they produce tons of their own GH, test, etc.. and that they’ll break their still developing systems, and feel it once they can’t afford the minimal vial or 2 a month to keep going, or they get bored with it, etc.

Scary stuff. Not that mostly self lab-ratting myself is any better. I took bloodwork though, adjusted usages based on my needs/goals… and hell, I’m 40 and am just chasing my late 20s (or retreating from upcoming 50s), haha

I know our vendors are risky, but I believe they are vetted enough through our large group of purchasers and testing that I trust them more so than any social media influencer and many "Med Spas" that are most likely ordering from the same vendors we are and just printing nice labels on them. They are probably not even using Hospira BAC. 😀

I don’t understand the sentiment of younger folks not taking peptides realistically if you are in it for longevity or general health it would make more sense to start earlier. In my mind it’s like the same as having dangerously low test levels but not taking test becusse you’re young and supposed to be in your prime. Then again I am 22 and most likely biased but I do find myself answer questions for older people about peptides🤷🏻‍♂️ while a large population of people in my age group may not be educated on peptides and side effects and the risk profiles associated with it I’d argue the old people are worse off generally, as people on the older side tend to have trouble navigating the internet and finding reputable information. There is no right answer but saying you shouldn’t do XYZ because you are not old enough is a dumb argument assuming we are all consenting adults. In my mind when you treat people like kids they act like kids sometimes you need to f*** around and find out lol.

I don't know where you find your old people, but the internet was widely used by the mid 1990's.

Before 1993, most of it was text-based -- many universities were using Telnet and email years earlier. Many people were using Usenet, electronic bulletin boards and online forums similar to this one. (Although BBCode ("Bulletin Board Code"), the coding used for this forum wasn't around until 1998).

Around 1994, the first graphical browsers like Mosaic and Netscape were introduced -- then browsing the internet (web surfing) became more user-friendly and way more addictive. Color! images!

An "old" guy in his mid-50's probably started using the internet in college. A typical educated professional who’s now in their 70's (really old guy!) probably started using the internet in their occupation in their 40's.

Most people I know who are 50 and older have been using cellphones and texting since around 2000 -- over two decades of being phone-savvy.

Where are you finding your old people?

You just reminded me that the first guy I ever slept with who I'd met online, I met in 1995 in a DALnet mIRC atheism chat room. It's been thirty years and we still talk.

You also just reminded me that Legend of the Red Dragon probably exists somewhere and I'd like to play it.

Hahah right!

Like mate, who do you think built the internet…

Yes it is quite sad. For entertainment purposes only, looksmax.org (don't ask how I ended up there) is even more depressing (than reddit).

This is called Darwinism. Don't mess w/ it. Let nature play it out.

Well, pal, I look at it this way. I just consider this hypothetical scenario. If I had been 18 today, would I take these peps or optimizers? Or to put it in another way, if all of these tools had been available when I was eighteen, would I have used them? Oh hell yeah ! I would have, with even more enthusiasm than I have now.

And you have already answered why. You're spot on. You see, we oldies take it to get healthier, rejuvenated, refreshed, or whatever, right? But for a growing adult, they can customize their journey to the best version of themselves. I was an obese fvck all my life. Why wouldn't I choose to change that ASAP? And the fact that you just mentioned- dating. I would call it mating, but that's besides the point. See, it's like college. A Bachelor of Science is a Bachelor of Science degree, whether it is from Alabama or Harvard. But the effects are not quite the same, are they? It's a competitive landscape. The better we are, the better our potential outcomes. There is no denying that. The top "chads" get all the action. The rest get leftovers, especially here in the West. Now, don't get me wrong. This is just one aspect. I mean, do we seriously doubt that better-looking people get more doors open to them? I hate that part of humanity, but it is undeniable.

Finally, and IMO, the most significant part. What we're doing is working against the clock in a defensive campaign, for the most part. We are trying to recover as much as possible of our prime condition. But for them? They have the opportunity to enhance their prime state before it even begins. Strategically, can we discard that as the clear best option? That's why I agree with Thunderbird.

All that clarified, I don't deny that the vast majority of teens out there are woefully moronic and uninformed, but since I am all about liberty, as much as I don't want them to use these gifts- for selfish reasons- I will not dispute the factual reality of their benefits. I mean, to them I would lie to their faces- get rid of competition, but here I can be honest. But, the incompetence of the users cannot take away the veracity of the principle in question, can it?

Why fight obesity when we are older, when we can get rid of it when we are young, thereby extending our peak longer and making it more amazing? IMO, Time is the MOST VALUABLE resource for every human being. The life we get out of every second, life quality, is of paramount significance. That's what I think, anyway. I am sure others would have different opinions on it.

Ha! I downloaded the first web browser/editor when TBL posted it in comp.sys.next.binaries. I think that was in late 1991. It was pretty crude and there wasn't much of a World Wide Web to browse, but it existed.

I know this is a little light hearted haha, but this is how we get concerned maybe even grieving parents to sniff around and whose only frame of reference for our stuff is personal tragedy.

Also fuck social media and fuck Big Tech for maximizing gains off of clickbait, rage bait, engagement bait bullshit.

And honestly, when it comes to kids, maybe it’s better they get burned by scams than actually getting into the stuff. It was kind of scary to discover how easily accessible things are after doing all this research

If your gray/grey matter is not fully formed, don't go gray/grey. Wish many of these trends would die out among the yutes, not them literally, just the trends.

Wow, that is a sad site. I could see plots for serial killer movies developing from conversations there.
