I'm pretty new to peps so I thought I'd see if anyone else has had the same issue.

I picked up some peps through a new supplier. I've been using a 5/16" needle previously but with this new supplier the rubber stopper in the vial seems to go deeper into the bottle. I'm having to jam the needle in with quite a bit of pressure to get it past the stopper and be able to draw fluid. Half the time I bend the needle and have to start over.

My thoughts solution A - I've got some 1/2" needles on order but wondering if someone has run into this and found a solution. Solution B - I also have a couple used/empty vials (same peps) that I thought I might use my bigger reconstitution needle and pull out all the liquid in these pain in the ass vials and then put the liquid in the empty vials. Any issues with that route? Thanks in advance

Post a picture of the stopper, I’ve never seen one meaningfully thick in the middle, I’ve seen some with with “legs” on either side of the middle, but the middle is normally thin.

I also commonly use a 5/16” needle, no issues in the hundreds of injections this year.

I have also noticed with a new order I recently received I'm having to really push it in just to draw the peptide using even 8mm, pain in the ass!

These are the caps of my recent vials:

Are you sure the needle is hitting the inside circle on the vial stopper?

Here is a picture of the underside of a vial stopper, which may vary by brand, but you can see the problem if you don’t inject in the right location.

This stopper is the legs version. I don't think my previous vials where the same. Maybe I'm not hitting center mass. I'll look a little closer when I'm drawing out tomorrow morning. Thanks for pointing this out.

Thought I was hitting the center, but maybe not. As woundcarping pointed out this is the "legs" stopper. I'm going to pay a little closer attention in the morning. Thanks

Rotate the vial and you’ll see the “crotch” of the legs. A 5/16” needle isn’t long enough to get past the legs any that I’ve seen.

Its really easy to accidentaly poke into the "legs" and that dulls the needle quickly, if im unable to draw fluid usually toss that syringe and start w a new one.

One of my peps was like this, extra thick legs with the smallest little channel between to try to hit. I bent so many needles. I ordered one of these off Etsy and I hit the middle everytime now. It is also much easier for my hands to draw now.

Forgot to mention that solution B is a really bad idea. Used vials should be thrown away. Not worth the risk of infection from contamination. If you were going to do something like this, a new sterile vial would be more acceptable, but still introduces some risk.

Another thing, what gauge needle are you using. The higher the # the smaller the size. 31 gauge needles are fairly thin and probably increase the need to hit the honey spot on the vial topper.

This is the correct answer. I learned this early on. It does dull the hell out of the needle, especially the 31g.

Good to know.

Using 30 gauge.

I've been having an issue with one specific item from my supplier. Every bottle of T30 is difficult to hit exactly in the center, so I end up hitting the side a lot. To fix it, I 3D printed a custom cap with a small hole right in the center, and it has helped a ton.

The strange part is that everything else I order from them is always perfect. It’s literally only the T30 bottles that have this issue.

That's a nice little gadget. Would you happen to have the link for the 3d file?

I bought it on Etsy after it was already printed. I don't have the file. But it was under $10.

I've found that some of the brands of needles are quite a bit superior to the others. The Easy Touch are the best ones I've found, but Amazon no longer seems to sell them. The last ones I bought, those things will bend if you look at them wrong.

This is perfect! 🤓

Now I have something to print for tonight. Thank you!
