Stacking Tirz + Reta. Any tips?

7.5 mg Tirz on Fridays, 2.5 mg Reta on Monday. Seems to be a sweet spot. I want to eventually change it to 5 mg / 5 mg split.

Tirz is okay, but I do notice a higher level of energy with Reta. So I'm trying to balance things a bit, and see where that takes me.

This is so helpful to read, thank you for putting into perspective like that for me!

When I say losing its effectiveness, I mean have seen the scale tick up (not drastically, but enough to be concerning) and I’ve had to work so much harder to bring it back down. I’m most worried about the weight creeping back on and not having a plan in place to counter it. Added to that is the concern about being at such a high dose with not much wiggle room. If this is the weight I stay at, I can live with that, I just can’t stand the thought of backsliding. I’ve always been fine with the thought of having to be on something like this for the rest of my life, I think I just didn’t come to terms with the fact that one day it wouldn’t be enough to simply maintain my current weight.

Anyway, I’m not done fighting yet. The plan is increased activity and strength training, and I’m hopeful that Reta can help with energy levels for that. We’ll see!

Thanks again for the insight!
I am also your age and female and have been alternating Reta and Tirz (one every 3 days), and a tiny amount of cagri with the reta. However I am nowhere near as high up on dose as you are. But I would say that before you switch over, try a TINY dose of Cagri first for a few weeks before you switch over to reta, and I DO MEAN TINY. Like if you make a 10mg vial and use 2ml BAC Water to make a 5mg per ml vial, use like 2 units MAX of that stuff maybe with your tirz dose and see how you do--I swear Cagri will knock you on your ass. Reta does nothing for the food noise, and I haven't noticed a difference with the energy levels between it and Tirz, like I get a boost maybe the first 24 hours of pinning...then I am EXHAUSTED for a few hours, then I am back to "normal." Once you are at goal, it might help you go down to a maintenance dose level of Tirz without any issue with backsliding and then you can stop the Cagri.

You've lost 90lbs so far, and your new "set point" is 145--the last 20% of any weight loss journey is the worst part and takes the longest because you're starting from a different place, and your metabolism is also running at a different pace.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I will definitely give the Cagri a try.

Landed at 5mg of tirz laset week and tomorrow il will be second 5mg pin, since last week I added a 0.5mg of reta midweek and after the classic post tiredness day I feel more active, more energy. I know 0.5mg of reta is very low, but I felt it. Plan to titrate to 1mg next week while maintaining 5mg of tirz. Lets see. 6 weeks in and lost 6kg more or less. not so much but is something, I started to feel tirz better now but still not the suppression I was expecting.

Thanks for this thread. I've been thinking of stacking reta with my tirz, but I had no idea where to start with that and these comments have given me a lot to consider (I hadn't even thought about trying cagri instead of reta before this)

Reta works but Tirz helps with inflammation, I don’t want to lose that benefit.
Interesting. I haven't read any studies or testimonials that tirzapatide does more for inflammation. Is it the GIP agonist that does this? Retatrutide also has GIP receptor agonism.

Did you know retatrutide, using the Glucagon agonist, pretty much eliminates liver fat which is a major contributor to inflammation?

Don't forget the caloric deficit, I think of it as a three-headed monster. Peptide, diet, and exercise. If you find the right balance you can ween yourself off the peptides when you get closer to your goal weight. Consistency is key!! You've got this!
I am four pounds below goal and I am not weaning myself off. This is a lifetime project for me.

I actually feel the same way. I am 40 pounds down, but I still have 45 more pounds to go. I have a nice stash of supplies and a great workout/dieting plan. Just happy to be in a forum with like-minded people.

Introduce Reta you won’t be sorry
Yes I have decided to. Just don't know which day and how much. Thinking about Wednesday as I took my 10mg tirz yesterday and 0,5mg or 1mg reta. Still losing weight while eating 2900 calories a day and over 200g protein and weight lifting 5 days a week.

I take

I take both on the same day, started at 2mg and bumped up to 4mg after 2 weeks. Seems to be working well for me.

I had the same feeling about those compounding pharmacies! 350 for 5 mg of tirz is insane! And dont get me started on those reddit resellers. Its just greed on greed on greed on greed. Anyways glad you were able to find a useful thread 🤞🏼
Welcome to the Forum! 😍 😍 Once you dig and then dig some more.. you can NEVER go back... it's wild when you see the plethora of knowledge here (and prices)..

Have a good one!

I lost about 30kg on mounjaro from the big pharma before the price hike. I then took a few months break and went grey on Tirz slowly worked my way back up to 15mg. It's done nothing for me at all so I added Reta a week ago. I did 10mg tirz and 2mg reta. It's only been a week and I've had zero hunger and no food noise. I definatly feel alot lighter than I did, I think I had a lot of water retention and Reta has sorted that. I've already dropped a kg which is the first movement I've seen in 6 months so I'm happy. No side affects at all so I plan to slowly move down to 5mg tirz and only increase the reta when I need to.

I just go mid week. Start Reta at maybe .5 and see how you feel. Eventually you will reduce your tirz. I do 2.5 tirz with 6.0 Reta
