Is it possible that some of that 50 is visceral fat? When women reach menopausal age (including peri-menopausal) visceral fat gets larger and is carried lower on the body. It is notoriously difficult to lose. I lost 90 lbs quickly on Reta but the fat on my upper and lower abdomen wasn't budging. I decided it had to be visceral and added tesamorelin. It's finally melting away, but I have a ton of it, so it'll be months still. I added ipamorelin to help burn it faster and they work well together. I'm still on Reta for the blood sugar control, but I'm convinced Reta doesn't work for this kind of age related visceral. Maybe on younger folks but not on folks over 50.FlowerFairy said:I did it in stages. Had a duodenal switch in 2001.. lost 120 lbs. kept it off until 2013- gained 50 lbs back from a medication. Started semaglutide in 2022- lost nothing. Switched to tirzepatide- lost 60-ish in 8-10 months but I was exhausted all the time. Switched to Reta, down another 15 lbs or so. I’m 50 lbs from goal..

Anything is possible. But I gained it in a month after being started on a medication that was supposed to “cure” my IBS-D. And she tried to convince me to keep taking it- told me, “50 lbs is nothing.”zanny-kanny said:Is it possible that some of that 50 is visceral fat? My diet was horrific previously I would 100g chocolate bar every night. Takeaway 4 nights a week sometimes I'd get a cheese cake and start with one slice but eat the lot in an evening so cutting all this out and being strict.. nothing sugary nothing fried and as little processed food as possible 1500cals a day which is low for a guy 6ft 4in tall. With this in mind I've gone from 19st 8lbs to 16st 2lbs since the 22nd May this year.. I lost 21lbs in 21 days to start with but now it's drastically slowed down. This is using tirzepatide and I've 2 weeks ago just started to add cagri.Lucas said:Since starting your journey how much weight have you lost?
