I LOVE THIS TOPIC!

Since April of 2025 I’ve melted off over 30 LBS with the help of Tirzepatide , Low Carb and Clean Eating , and walking/running 5K 5 Days A Week .

37 pounds. However, I had lost additional weight not included in the 37 pounds I referenced before I started taking GLP-1 drugs and I was unlikely to keep it off. I used tirz and reta has helped me increase the weight loss.

70kg or 154lbs . Male 50's 167cm sw 145kg cw 75kg Started 3 years ago lost all of it before starting ozempic a year ago, using it to try to not put weight back on, rather than to lose it, I would ideally prefer to be under 70kg but under 80 is amazing compared with where I was. Weight up and down a few kilos over the past year or 2, swapped to tirzepatide 2 months ago, nowhere near as nauseous as I was on ozempic, but still hungry on 15mg/week. I would really like to keep the weight off long term, longest I have ever succeeded in the past is 3 years before starting to put weight back on. Added in a couple of mg of reta over the past week to see if it helps, too early to tell yet.

Started Tirz 7/1/2024

CW: 155

Down 77lbs. I'm super happy with my current weight. I am losing another 10-12lbs with skin removal surgery next year.

Down more than 80lb on the scale and up a bit more than 20lb of lean body mass per dexa in 10 months

Tirz for 3 months then reta since then

TRT (enough test to get me into the 700s of total T, 80mg deca for joints) for 9 months

4IU HGH for 6 months

Hard lifting 5 days a week

Some cardio, bad about doing it consistently

I did it in stages. Had a duodenal switch in 2001.. lost 120 lbs. kept it off until 2013- gained 50 lbs back from a medication. Started semaglutide in 2022- lost nothing. Switched to tirzepatide- lost 60-ish in 8-10 months but I was exhausted all the time. Switched to Reta, down another 15 lbs or so. I’m 50 lbs from goal..
Is it possible that some of that 50 is visceral fat? When women reach menopausal age (including peri-menopausal) visceral fat gets larger and is carried lower on the body. It is notoriously difficult to lose. I lost 90 lbs quickly on Reta but the fat on my upper and lower abdomen wasn't budging. I decided it had to be visceral and added tesamorelin. It's finally melting away, but I have a ton of it, so it'll be months still. I added ipamorelin to help burn it faster and they work well together. I'm still on Reta for the blood sugar control, but I'm convinced Reta doesn't work for this kind of age related visceral. Maybe on younger folks but not on folks over 50.

I've lost 120 lbs on combination of low carb dieting, Reta, tesamorelin and ipamorelin: 90 lbs using low carb and Reta alone over 7 1/2 mths, the remainder with the help of tesa and ipa due to a large amount of visceral fat. Still working on the remaining visceral.

I'm down 37 lbs. in 13 weeks. I'm taking 10mg Tirz every 5 days. Still a long way to go but i'm stocked up and eyeing more 😉

As of just now, I am down 25lbs in 16 weeks!!!!! This was after the scale not budging despite tons of gym time, intermittent fasting, a juice cleanse and phentermine. My first month was on 2mg of Tirz under the care of an NP friend. Bumped up to 4mg for month 2 and then went up to 5mg. Went gray because I am out of NOLA for the summer and she couldn't prescribe/pharmacy wouldn't ship/I found here. Switched to 2mgs of Reta last week because I actually welcome a little bit of food noise and want to see about preserving muscle because I lost all my gym gains! I am now 3.2 pounds from GW, though my ridiculous "smart scale" seems to think my ideal weight is 138lbs. 🤣 Not with these curves, sugar!

22lbs in 12 weeks on Reta ranging from 0.5mg to 2mg and back to 1.25mg. I'm back to my "normal" but not great pre-menopause weight. Goal weight is another 22 lbs away which I've been at various times but never for long. I'm still amazed at how easy the 22 came off after 3 years where different workouts, i- fasting, calorie &macro counting, and going on HRT never made more than a 5 lbs dent. Even if it slows I'm shocked I might reach my GW before the end of the year! I have enough Reta to last a good long while but am starting to wonder if Tirz might be a better maintenance option.

30lbs in 9 weeks. First 4 weeks low/no carb lost 10lbs. Week deciding what to do and gained 5back…

Started Reta at 1mg (7-7-25)

2mg week 2

3mg week 3

4mg week 4

4mg week 5

Down 20lb since 7-7-25 dose every Monday. Food noise close to zero. Strength training 4-5 days per week. Don’t put me down for cardio, please.

Loving it!!

Anything is possible. But I gained it in a month after being started on a medication that was supposed to “cure” my IBS-D. And she tried to convince me to keep taking it- told me, “50 lbs is nothing.” 😳

Plus I went thru menopause at 46… so I was past it by 2017 by a few years.

35lb in 20 weeks. Just hit 10mg weekly tirz. Planning on staying on this dose until next plateau.

My diet was horrific previously I would 100g chocolate bar every night. Takeaway 4 nights a week sometimes I'd get a cheese cake and start with one slice but eat the lot in an evening so cutting all this out and being strict.. nothing sugary nothing fried and as little processed food as possible 1500cals a day which is low for a guy 6ft 4in tall. With this in mind I've gone from 19st 8lbs to 16st 2lbs since the 22nd May this year.. I lost 21lbs in 21 days to start with but now it's drastically slowed down. This is using tirzepatide and I've 2 weeks ago just started to add cagri.

Have you tried to increase the tirz dosage?
