Here's my question, not knowing what this was, even if the culprit was in the vial(s) you suspect, is there a guarantee filtering would have stopped it? Filtering fails to remove a lot of the more serious issues like endotoxins.
Filtering (even 0.22u) will not remove endos or some small viruses, but will get rid of anything that grows. So you only have to worry about what is already in the vial not what can multiply.

For most things endotoxins are not a normal part of the process. NAD and glutathione, and HGH are some of the few (ignoring big Pharma) that are typically made with biologic processes. That means that endotoxins could very well be present, if not removed out by the manufacturer. Most peptides are made by sequentially assembling aminoacids by SPS, which is a chemical process and not particularly likely to have endos (of course you could still have a bacteria or hair in it). Not a bad thing to check, but unlikely except for the ones above or whatever they happen to be making/packaging in the same factory.

I think Uther had a bad batch of NAD lately. Also, the volumes injected tend to be a lot larger.

At least HGH is a low dose. Some people will do 400+ mg of glutathione at a time. I limit myself to 200 mg per injection since that is the IM dose at the local clinic. But now that I think about it again, will do no more than 100 mg per injection.

I do filter though, I do use 10 or more needles per recon, and I practised sterile tecniques in my earlier work life because of operating on patients, so I do feel ok safe.
Good tip, thank you for sharing. Without having an actual lab or knowing why they are designed the way they are, its hard to know practically some of the best practices like that.

My memory is that Biologix and Cobetter both tested well. Both are available from their websites (much more reliable than AliExp), and Cobetter store used to be available from Amazon as well (though pretty much the same price with free shipping as direct with shipping). There is also Celltreat, which I think has tested ok as well. Any pricing close to $0.50 with shipping is very good.

I have 4mm Tisch, which work fine for me and in volume were under $1 for a 100 box in a 50 box group buy.

Just make sure whatever you get is hydrophilic PES 0.22um and individually wrapped luer lock/slip. Some people prefer 13mm for more concentrated peps (Oils are totally different!), which are cheaper and more available, but you really need to pre-wet and flush, if you're going that way.

Now this is interesting, I've seen dozens of people recommend "pre-wetting" the filters, and yet exactly none of the videos I've watched, (also dozens!) does anyone actually pre-wet their filter. The concept seems sound, as does flushing. Does anyone actually do it? Would you mind describing your technique?

I take a syringe of say .10 of bac, open the filter container (but don't take the label off completely or remove the filter), and slowly push the bac into it. I like to go in a circular motion, but that's an idiosyncrasy I have. Then I go about mixing and once I'm ready to filter, the bac has been absorbed by the filter and I'm good to go, no resistance.

I learned this on my own when I started w/gray a couple of years ago b/c I just couldn't get a good, reliable flow through the filter. Then it hit me--material is too dry, it's actively resisting. Now, some folks don't seem to have any trouble, so idk wtf I was doing wrong, but it was the only solution I could come up with.

真奇怪。我一直都是推,不是拉。直到看到上面有人提到,我才想到要拉,感觉那样会浪费一个滤芯,而且可能损失的劲儿也比你想要的要多。

虽然有帮助,但不如戴手套那么无菌。而且70%的消毒率总比90%好。

好吧,我举个例子,你肯定会喜欢:我朋友早上拉完屎,洗完手(至少他用的是Dial洗手液!),就在马桶旁边脏兮兮的台面上配药/注射。他

这么做了十多年,从来没出过问题。 😀
 
我认为大型制药公司也不会要求遵循良好实验室规范 (GLP) 的用户在使用药瓶/注射器给药时戴手套。他们只会说“用肥皂和水洗手”。

但至少在侦察工作中,我会戴手套(最好是医用手套,而不是五金店里卖的那种,哈哈)。Peptide Test 的那位老兄有个侦察视频,他戴着手套,用装有 70% 外用酒精的喷雾瓶喷洒金属表面:

Personally, I would filter if I started using pens. (I bought a number of generic pens and will probably use them for other things, with a dispenser instead of a needle.)

But for recon at least, I would use gloves (ideally medical grade, not from my favorite hardware store, haha). The guy from Peptide Test has a recon video where he wears gloves and sprays down his metal surfaces with a spray bottle of 70 percent rubbing alcohol:

I'm going to filter, but I do like your suggestion about gloves and the should be here tomorrow with a couple other supplies. I'll save that Reconstitution procedure too.

yes I do. It seems to help the flow, and I dont like wasting peps or filters.

Other than 70 percent being better than 90 percent, your method does seem good for quickly drawing and injecting, but I don't like alcohol drying my Arizona desert hands, haha.
 
I remember in med scool, we did some studies on gloves.

Touching e.coli and then transferring to petri dish and grow.

With gloves and without gloves.

Guess what. E.coli showed up on both. But less from gloves of course.

It was quite disgusting, lol

Gloves are not 100 % safe, but yes I use it too. it does make a barrier for less contamination.
