Sounds like you’ve got a really grounded approach to this. You’re not chasing some random number on a chart, you’re paying attention to how you actually feel, perform, and live at a given weight, and that matters. A lot of bigger framed guys find the same thing where “ideal BMI” numbers just aren’t realistic or sustainable long term.fatjacked said:SW (Jan 2026) 265.0

GW 220?
I'm a 6 ft, active male in early 40s. Have been through several cycles of weight loss and gain, but never tried any peps, drugs or even supplements really before this. The only other thing I take is 5mg creatine daily. I have also run a couple cycles of wolverine for injury recovery. I tried IPA/CJC once before I went on tirz, but my cycle was interrupted by injury, so I couldn't work out and didn't really get the most of it. All of this was via a local doc / compounding pharmacy, excited to be moving into direct purchasing and controlling my costs.
Would like to get to at least 220. I have previously been as low as 210 after a big cut but I found it hard to stay there. I'm sure traditional docs would say I should aim for 190-200, but I have a naturally big frame and don't think I want to live the way I would need to in order to get there... but we will see how it feels when I get to 220, I may keep cutting or just try to focus on recomp / maintenance.
I am currently on 7.5 mg tirz and thinking of either adding 1mg reta and/or running another cycle of CJC/IPA.
Congrats to all on improving your health and approaching your goals. Happy to be on this journey with you.

Strong first week. Those first pounds lost always hit different…It’s the moment all the waiting, planning, and second guessing turns into real momentum. That first drop is memorable and impactful because it reminds you change is actually happening. Keep it going, Bucky!Bucky said:Day 8 of Reta down 3.6 lbs.

Great progression. 33 lbs in 4 months on 3mg/week is really solid. Did you titrate up to 3mg or start there? What was your starting dose?CharmanderInDisguise said:4 months in:

I was plateaued on Ozempic for 6 months with any weight loss and my blood sugars/A1C not improving to where I’d like as type 2 diabetic. My pcp wouldn’t entertain increasing dose or moving to Zepbound so i decided to do my own research.
Since starting Reta I eat 200g of protein, drink 1 1/2-2 gallons of water, 2 servings re-lyte electrolytes daily. I hit the gym 3-5x as well as get in 4-5 jiu jitsu classes a week so that has helped with quick shedding of weight.
Reading thru all the experiences and journeys on this forum has been such a motivation. Keep up the great work everyone!!!

25 lbs in 38 days is wild. Reta seems to be treating you really well. Bet you’re feeling a huge difference already compared to day one. Keep it rolling!smallbrainchud said:minor update - reta only.

down 62 pounds

71 lbs down is no joke. That kind of change takes consistency, discipline, and sticking with it even on the weeks you probably didn’t feel like it. Don’t lose sight of how far you’ve already come. A lot of people want change; You’re actually doing it. Keep building on it one week at a time. 100 lbs down is absolutely within reach now.professorpeppy said:240ibs -> 169ibs
down 71ibs all together. aiming for 100ibs. (doses etc in my signature)
BMI went from 41.2 to 29. still in overweight but hey ho

That’s an incredible run. From 242 to 157 is life-changing weight loss, and doing it with a slow titration probably saved you a lot of misery along the way. Sounds like you learned your body well instead of just racing the dose upward.Paladine said:SW: 242 - August 2025

I titrated up slowly and ended at three weeks of 15mg. The 15mg gave me the most side effects but it got me to my goal. I just moved back down to 12.5 last week and am going to start slowly moving down to find the balance of calories and GLP-1.

I have posted here before. Just hit 40 pounds today.Troposphere said:50M 5'7"

Been using Google Gemini to help track calories and macros. Roughly 1700kcal/day with 100g protein as a goal. Been only Reta for 2 months, KLOW for 1 month, just started CJC/IPA two days ago.

That’s a seriously dialed-in two months. Dropping 17 lbs while holding muscle mass nearly steady and cutting body fat from 26.9% to 19.5% is excellent progress, especially at 50. The consistency is showing.Troposphere said:50M 5'7"
