Congress introduce bill to restrict manufacture of GLP1s.

Alpha Omega Peptides (who I used to buy from before getting plugged into sites like this) sent an email this morning saying that due to regulatory changes, they’re getting out of all GLPs and marked their stock down 30%. (Of course that still makes their single vials just a little more than a whole kit from China.) So I agree, more people will be looking for supplies from other sources.

For hoarding or stacking, sema may be the best for me pricewise since I get sides with every GLP but never nausea. OTOH, reta is a stack in itself, as is tirz.

The last time I did the math, it was only $100 for the first year of sema (at least if you go by the standard dosing schedule). Cagri also goes a long way per mg, but I don't have much experience with it and will throw out cagri before sema.

I'm not sure...

Again, it was just a quick read but I didn't see any reference to import - just adding oversight and more requirements to compounding pharmacies.

I'll read it again when I have more time. It's a short bill, only a couple pages.

Right, but it may put more attention/pressure on the FDA to do its job in protecting potential "victims" of all kinds who can't or won't pay big pharma for GLPs (with TrumpRx or not).

It seems the FDA goes through cycles anyway in their focus for screening imports. Some here have compared it to our own workplaces where the priorities change each month.

Of course, the big priority with imports/screening is always fentanyl. But with fentanyl, there are no compounding pharmacies to inspect, haha.

While they should be doing that for all drugs from compounding pharmacies, IMO, I didn’t see any reference to compound in the link. None whatsoever. The link is WH policy. Not a bill introduced by Congress. And I’m not listening to anything that guy says to drive fear.

And the only reference to GLP-1s was related to pricing of pill form.

Yakym, Carson Introduce Bill to Protect Patients from Unsafe Compounded Drugs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (R-IN-02) and Congressman André Carson (D-IN-07) introduced the “Safeguarding Americans from Fraudulent and Experimental (SAFE) Drugs Act of 2025” to protect patients from untested, unapproved, and potentially dangerous mass compounded drugs...

I did a search and cannot find the text of the actual bill online or in Congresss.gov

Since I've been here in March, people also love excuses to hoard. So this is fresh meat. Back away and let them devour, haha.

I hoard too, just at a smaller scale. Even before SRY went AWOL, I got a single vial of their T100 from a reseller for hoarding purposes.

They sure do!

And I have a suspicion that the vast majority of gray know to shut the fuck up about it and maintain some discretion, which should hopefully keep Congressional attention at a minimum.

Looks legit but can't verify for sure.

I plan on hoarding a bit after I get my tax refund. Between inflation, higher demand, tarrifs, increased customs pressure... prices are going up.
This summer with the FDA to be "screening" all FDA-regulated packages starting July 9th, instead of just packages of a certain declared value, I was thinking that too was a possibility, even by now. But prices have never gone up before, ever, that I know of. Only down.

I'm seeing prices going up. The screenshot is Jeep's prices over the past couple months. Throw on higher shipping and a higher minimum price to get free shipping and it stings. If shipping such a small package cost so much, no one would buy from Temu.

I'll have to update my sheet with some other vendors and updated December prices. I only track jeep, mix, and Uther.

Nah. I'm sticking with my previous comments on the situation .. there is way too much money involved for it to stop. Getting through customs be damned. I don't believe that the compounding pharmacies are going to quit either .. I think many of them would just pivot into the shadows.

The only part of this that will have a major effect is expanded insurance coverage. If it becomes cheaper to get it legitimately .. a whole lot will do that instead. For example, if zepbound became available to me and all I had to do was pay the $25 co-pay per month, I would seriously consider switching away from my current sema/reta combo.
