Have you noticed you feel better?

What time of day do you take it?

What do you take it for?

I bought some to keep muscles and body hydrated while on my Reta journey. Losing weight pretty fast and want to make sure my body is hydrated and fed. Took some last night.

Just curious what other people think about it and best time to take and its effects.

Yep. 5g morning and 5g afternoon. I've found that when I increased to 10g vs 5g a day, I have a bit more cognitive clarity at work and just improved speed of thinking (started to notice after a few weeks on the higher dose.) I primarily take it for muscle support (I exercise A LOT) but also because I'm a vegetarian so I don't really get natural creatine that meat-eaters get.

It's one of the safest and best researched supplements out there. And there's a lot of really cool new research about the cognitive benefits, which makes me an even bigger fan of it.

I started about two weeks ago. Loaded up with ~15mg/day for the first week, 5mg/day since. I began at the same time I restarted tesa/ipa and began very modest lifting. I was told creatine would help with weight training. I now take it late morning well after lifting.

Since then, I have gained three pounds. Previously, I was losing almost two pounds a week with reta. I will just assume it's both water weight and tremendous gains in muscle tissue offsetting my fat burn. Not sure how much longer this lying to myself will hold up.

I don't feel better and I don't notice any endurance improvements at all. But it's cheap, the internet says it's great, and I'll keep it up till I piss blood.

I take 15mg every morning. It’s arguably one of the well studied supplements out. Additionally, if I remember correctly there are recent studies indicating mental benefits as well.

I also weight train 4-5 days per week as well.

Are you doing any resistance training?

I am resistance training about 3-4 times a week.

Because I’m on Reta really keeping up on it so I don’t lose muscle or any more muscle than I need to.

I also sauna and jog a lot so want to ensure I’m getting my body hydrated

Do keep in mind that taking 15g all the time would just result to an expensive urine. A standard dose is about 5g daily for adults. This is all your muscles need to stay saturated.

10g every morning in a protein shake. Take it for a combination of exercise and mental support. Noticed that I'm less mentally tired since I started taking it.

How do you take it? It is supposed to be tasteless, but I didn't like it in my tea/coffee.

You can get it in gummy form or dissolve it in a smaller volume of liquid and take it like a shot.

I started about a month ago, and take 5mg in the morning right after my workout. I've never been very good about identifying changes in how my body feels unless it's super obvious, but I strength train 4-5 times a week and am happy with how my body is feeling.
Ya same... been feeling pretty amazing since starting my peptide journey now I am on a mission to maximize

Take mine at night to try and hydrate the body. Put a tall glass of water by the bed and by the morning it is typically gone

Creatine is the most studied supplement on the market right now. There are literally hundreds, probably thousands of studies on creatine and almost entirely all benefits. The only potential issue is if you have weak kidneys, dehydration and/or is prone to gout due to water retention.

There is no evidence in any trial and/or study that claims 5g "only" brings results. Yes, there are diminishing results if you take more than 20g a day, but the benefits are real.

I know I probably shouldn't but I prefer to take creatine gummies. 10g a day, 5g in the morning and 5g at night.
Ryan Humiston recently tested out creatine gummies (one brand) and each gummy had less than 1g of actual creatine. Best is monohydrate.

Sure, but that assumes muscle saturation is the only relevant endpoint.

For basic muscle saturation, 5g/day is plenty for most people. Creatine also has interesting research around brain energy metabolism and some of those studies use higher doses because the brain doesn’t appear to saturate as easily as muscle.

I’m not saying 15g is universally necessary. I’m saying the “anything over 5g is wasted” take is a little too clean for something that has broader potential benefits.

Dry scoop 5g am and 5g pm. If my recovery is off or I didn’t sleep well the night before I’ll take 20g as soon as I wake up and off to the races I go. I notice it helps with mental fatigue on those days. Always drink lots of water! I’ll usually stop it the weeks of a blood test. I’ve noticed my creatinine is high if I continue, it avoids unnecessary questions from the Doc. Train weights 4x/wk with Liss cardio the 3 off days!
