Flying with paramotor is my passion.

I was 31kg heavier as now in the first pic. Sunset flight, winter flight and my new paratrike in make.

that is SICK!

I think I have one too many hobbies.... Mountain biking, motorcycling/track days, PRS type shooting/reloading and recently flying drones. I guess I can also add peptides 😛

Also in the ADHD train although life got a bit easier with estrogen therapy and diagnosis.

I tend toward crafty things. My closet is full of bins… I try to keep things sorted even if there’s a measure of it. If I can’t close the door I sort and purge. My favorite of late is sewing and crochet.

I design and procure (buy the made design) metal things for work (mechanical design) so using a different material that is just SO different is just fun. Metal doesn’t move much. Fabric, ehhh it depends. And whether you WANT it to also changes.

I just don’t spend much. Hubby bought a surger for a Christmas gift and I bawled. I don’t NEED it but when he didn’t know what to get me. They’re not four digits expensive. But I just make do, usually.

Maybe I need to step up my hobbies lol

Hoo boy, the instrument alone was as much as a car, and the bow.... Ain't she a beaut, though? Oh and she has some friends.... Being a professional musician is ridiculous. We're expected to have these things in a job that pays shit for most people. I'm lucky, I won a job with an actual salary.

I am so musically inept it's all I can do to try to figure out how to turn a radio on. In my next life I want some music ability! So jealous.

My hobbies vary over time.

I was in to go fast EV for a bit:

Maybe some off road go fast or slow (102mph top speed)

Or on water go fast (81mph top speed)

I got into photography and spent a minor fortune on fast lenses. 400mm F2.8, my latest purchase was a 50-150mm F2.

Gotta hate when pictures upload sideways.

I was a music major for two years… I had a German sounding clarinet (low, full, WOOF) and prof wanted me to buy a French sounding one. Which of course was 2-3k on top of everything else. Which… is a splash compared to strings but YES it’s crazy. The whole “gotta spend $k” on a carbon fiber case or you will risk being seen as Not Serious is… something else.

Double reeds and crafting your own? A c k.

Glad you found a good place. I dropped out because I couldn’t see paying for school loans on a teacher’s salary. Now I’m trying to get back to it in various ways. 🙃

My wife and I never got to travel as kids so we make sure we get to travel as much as we can now with our kids.

That's a cool hobby! How far is your longest flight?

We went to Ireland last Thanksgiving. A /few places were closed in the offseason but it was still GORGEOUS. More castles than you can shake a stick at… I’d say there’s maybe more castles in Ireland than barns in Iowa. Add it to your queue. 😉

Pottery. "Fun retirement hobby" they said. "Won't cost much at all" they said. Sigh. A $2000 kiln, a $1200 pottery wheel, untold supplies and such $$$$ later, I'm doing good to find money for my new hobby hoarding grey. Anybody wanna buy a mug? (Kidding! These are going to an upcoming market)

Holy moly, those are gorgeous! I predict you'll make back your investment (and then some!) if you keep at it.

Our money pit is traveling. Since we both retired we have been on several Viking and other cruises. Timeshare Resorts, Europe, Alaska, Romania, Mexico, Etc.
