It is indeed an incurable disease. The video shows the early stage of my illness from eight years ago.bamagirl26 said:that is SICK!

I am so musically inept it's all I can do to try to figure out how to turn a radio on. In my next life I want some music ability! So jealous.peppystrings80 said:Hoo boy, the instrument alone was as much as a car, and the bow.... Ain't she a beaut, though? Oh and she has some friends.... Being a professional musician is ridiculous. We're expected to have these things in a job that pays shit for most people. I'm lucky, I won a job with an actual salary.

And I have been to exactly zero of those places.Mochizuki0124 said:Traveling... It gets expensive with kids.
The past 3 yrs we've been to:
London
Italy
Switzerland
France
Japan
Disneyworld
Phlippines
Multiple trips to Disneyland and Universal
Vegas
Tahoe
Another trip coming up to Vietnam... so yeah

I was a music major for two years… I had a German sounding clarinet (low, full, WOOF) and prof wanted me to buy a French sounding one. Which of course was 2-3k on top of everything else. Which… is a splash compared to strings but YES it’s crazy. The whole “gotta spend $k” on a carbon fiber case or you will risk being seen as Not Serious is… something else.peppystrings80 said:Hoo boy, the instrument alone was as much as a car, and the bow.... My wife and I never got to travel as kids so we make sure we get to travel as much as we can now with our kids.spanky2026 said:And I have been to exactly zero of those places.![]()

Hell yeah, two wheeled vehicles rule!rixsternaz said:I think I have one too many hobbies.... Mountain biking, motorcycling/track days, PRS type shooting/reloading and recently flying drones. I guess I can also add peptides![]()
Hell yeah going fast is rad! The picture thing has frustrated me sometimes to the point where i give up and delete my post!woundcarping said:My hobbies vary over time.
I was in to go fast EV for a bit:
Maybe some off road go fast or slow (102mph top speed)
Or on water go fast (81mph top speed)
I got into photography and spent a minor fortune on fast lenses. 400mm F2.8, my latest purchase was a 50-150mm F2.
Gotta hate when pictures upload sideways.

We went to Ireland last Thanksgiving. A /few places were closed in the offseason but it was still GORGEOUS. More castles than you can shake a stick at… I’d say there’s maybe more castles in Ireland than barns in Iowa. Add it to your queue.Mochizuki0124 said:Traveling... It gets expensive with kids.

Holy moly, those are gorgeous! I predict you'll make back your investment (and then some!) if you keep at it.spanky2026 said:Pottery. "Fun retirement hobby" they said. "Won't cost much at all" they said. Sigh. A $2000 kiln, a $1200 pottery wheel, untold supplies and such $$$$ later, I'm doing good to find money for my new hobby hoarding grey. Anybody wanna buy a mug? (Kidding! These are going to an upcoming market)
