What tipped the scale for you in your decision to stack your GLP with another or add in an amylin?

I added survo to my tirz a month or so ago. I initially started with no offset, and think I am going to switch to offset days over the next few weeks. I feel like they hit pretty hard together, and I really need a late week bump.
Exactly why I offset. Plus, I have a daily Cu pin and didn't want to pin 3 in a single day. I might be a bit cautious. I sorta helicopter parent myself on some things.

Hi everyone 🙂

I am at a point now where I have to make a decision here soon. There are plenty of good options for me, but I want to hear why you chose the route you chose.

For those of you who stayed on a non-max dose of your GLP-1 and added in another GLP or Amylin, instead of titrating up, can you tell me why? What factors did you consider before you decided?

(I did search the forum, if there is already a post about this, I am sorry 😢 )
I started on 2.5 mg Tirz in Feb. In May I stalled. I have almost no appetite on Tirz, but I was just not losing weight. I didn't want more appetite suppression as I getting close to food aversion. There are a ton of people on these forums talking about no appetite suppression on Reta, so I added low dose (1 mg) Reta mid week. I started losing weight again. At the beginning of August I started getting hungrier so I increased Reta to 1.5 mg.

I'm in maintenance (for 6 months now) on 7.5mg tirz. I have one side-effect that has been persistent and obnoxious. I get one EXTREMELY dry eye... just the right one. I tried cutting back to 6mg on the tirz, and that helped my eye, but I didn't feel the lower dose was sufficient for maintenance. So I went back to my 7.5mg.

I recently decided to add cagri and cut back on the tirz to see if I can relieve the damnable dry eye. It's only been 2 weeks, and I'm adjusting the 2 very slowly... so I don't know yet if it will help.
Funny, I have noticed dry eyes and I never had that, didnt even think it could be tirz

I’m less optimistic about the accuracy of DEXA scans. I’ve seen a lot of people with DEXA scan results showing very low body fat percentages after major weight loss; results that are inconsistent with their visual presentation. I am one of them.

Right now I’m trying to test that hypothesis by burning my lean mass on DEXA. My last scan a couple weeks ago put me at 7.2% body fat at 206 pounds. That’s 14.8 lbs of fat mass and 182.8 pounds of lean mass. I should look like a bodybuilder with a bunch of loose skin hanging from my stomach, I actually look like a guy who could still afford to lose some belly fat. My plan is to drop another 35 pounds (over twice my estimated fat mass) or until I look like a jacked shar-pei.

If I’m correct about DEXA struggling to measure my body fat, I should lose the apparent stomach fat and most of my loss will be “lean mass” in my lower torso. If I’m wrong I’d expect to lose a lot of skeletal muscle and retain the gut. We’ll see how this goes!
Oh wow, just looked it all up and there are issues. 🙁
