1st week I lost 6lbs . 2mg

2nd week 0lbs. 2mg

3rd week wrapping up gained 2 lbs . 4.5 mg

Work out 4x a week. Count every cal & eat clean . I also intermittent fast . I can say I feel the Reta is working as I'm around the 1500-2000 range of Cals and last night I hit 1200 cals while forcing greek yogurt and strawberries down before bed so I wouldn't think I would need to go up.

Should I shock the body and just eat all day today as much as possible and ditch the counter? TY

I'm also on Tesa and Motsc. Should I stop those temporally?

Tess is known to cause fluid retention in some individuals I wouldn’t be worried about a slight increase in weight. It goes away once you stop it and your RS will still be looking snatched.

I see no reason why you would have to do that unless you are feeling “depleted” of any food group (usually happens with carbs if you workout a lot). I know it’s easier said than done but try to listen to what your body is trying to tell you not in terms of your weight but your mind, muscle, and overall being.

Just my personal opinion and experience. I see lots of claims on refeeds, keto, high carb days, etc when at the end of the day only your body knows if it’s truly lacking a nutrient or a food group or energy intake.

Congrats on your progress! I want to encourage you to be patient and give it time to work. Realistically, you won’t drop significantly every week. The expectation is a lie for many people. But give your regimen time and after several weeks of no change, then you can make a change. It seems like it is working for your first week. That is a strong win compared to many others who lose absolutely nothing for a whole month on it.

When did you start the tesa? It can cause water retention.

If you're counting cals like that and keeping them that low it's basically impossible to gain weight, unless your TDEE is nothing.

I started Tesa week 2 as after research I seen not only did it help with visceral fat but it could also help with sleep. Somone else hinted that they did the same and Tesa was retaining water, they stopped Tesa and the weight started moving again. I just reconstituted a new bottle so Im going to use this bottle and take a break after. That has to be it . Im also going to have a chill eating Sunday and see if that shocks the body. Not go overboard but not count calories as I fear my body may be in starvation mode as the possible #2 reason.

Thanks all for the replies .

I thought it took 4 weeks for Reta to reach full potency at a new dose? Or am I remembering wrong?

You are correct. My main concern was being in a strict diet / gym and gaining weight. On Reta or not its odd. Starting my week 4 now. Im just going to stay steady and try not to obsess on the scale. Im assuming its the Tesamorelin just retaining water as my weight lose stalled as soon as I added it to my routine.

I only gain weight on fake Reta. Check your supplier. If your Reta is fake... expect no results

How do you know it’s fake Reta? Do you send the vial for testing?

I have appetite suppression and had a few side effects like elevated heart rate and occasional acid reflux .

You're titrating very fast. It's going to make those side effects worse.

I could be missing something, but why would you be eating before going to bed?

I dont have them often if at all anymore . My point was thats how I knew the Reta was working. My appetite was gone and a few side affects. HR is normal now and I had acid reflux after celebrating my gfs bday too hard.

Try to add more proteins and drink more.

I discovered I that I was not drinking enough. I went up to 4L per day and I lost again

Thank you . I know for a fact Im not getting 4L. More around the 2-3 . Ill step it up.

Definitely could be the Tesa. I gained 6-7 pounds in 2 weeks on it when I had been steadily losing 1 lb per week for months on Tirz. It took about a week being off of it and lost all the water weight. I haven’t tried taking it again but I should now that it’s been several months and I’m at goal so it won’t freak me out again to gain.

Thanks for the reasurrance . I just seen a video by a popular peptide dude lol and he stated something like " when you take Tesa , you will prob gain weight for the first 2-4 weeks but after that , the water weight will drop ..."

I just stopped a few days ago and will stay off until I feel like getting back on ... I have a few vials on standby lol. I hope this is the issue as Im doing everything in my power to lose weight ( sleep , cal deficit , tracking macros , gym ) and feel good also. The stall and gain did go hand and hand when I started Tesa . Just finished another day of UNDER my maintenance calories by a good amount . I was also advised to try and hit more water in the comment above so Im doing that also . I appreciate all the comments and insight.

The water weight won't drop off until about 2 weeks after you stop the tesa.
