Hi, I am feeling very surprised by some positive effects I think BPC-157 may be having on me. I was not expecting this at all, so I am wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this, or if I am placeboing it, or maybe I'm someone who needed it/responds well?

I took 500 mcg BPC for the first time today, to help me in healing from surgery (30dpo). About an hour after pinning 500 mcg I felt very calm. I felt like I could relax, I often feel awkward in my body because I am hypermobile and tense, my body just felt a bit smoother, easier.

I took my vyvanse, and as it's kicking in it feels much more pleasant and less stressful, and a bit more like it felt the first time I ever tried ADHD meds, you might know how nice that is if you have ADHD and are medicated aswell.

My mood in general is just so good, and I thought I was having a bad day at first. I know I'll probably notice it less as I keep taking it, but I am very pleasantly surprised!

While I definitely recognise the possibility of it being placebo, I had no expectation of it bringing said effects. I mostly saw people talking about it's healing properties. I may have read once or twice that it also had an effect on mood, but never looked very far into it.

Anyway, if you have a similar experience similar, or you really like/dislike bpc, feel free to share! I am very interested in learning more about it, including peoples experiences.

Have you been diagnosed with connective tissue problems? Hypermobility is often a sign and those folks tend to have a lot of inflammation. I could see the BPC bringing inflammation down and that giving you a cognitive boost while also making you handle the vyvanse better.

I have not been professionally diagnosed, at most they have acknowledged my hypermobile joints and recommended fysio or tape/other corrective measures for the most problematic ones. I could see inflammation being the case though, very interesting!!

I just noticed that you are in the Netherlands, if you are a native, I believe the Dutch have some of the highest rate of connective tissue problems. Some folks in my life that I love very much struggle with it and I am familiar with the constellation of issues that come with it. I don't know anything about how peptides could impact those problems but it seems likely they could be a help. Please keep us updated!

I’m a card carrying member of not-Marfan’s syndrome. 🙃 I have the same gene swapped and lots of similarities, but not the exact same gene change Marfan’s folks have.

There are a few others here and we even have a thread started by a EDS person, it’s been pretty quiet.

For me it’s basically like you: PT as needed, plus keep an eye on my aorta since that’s a risk area. In other words: I tried to get a box around what was going on, and there is no box to put it in… so it’s a “take life as it comes” which is where I started.

I am also a recent ADHD diagnosis; I just started BPC last night. Honestly I slept like poo (3rd party interruptions) which means my meds shouldn’t have been much help at work. But today was only slightly worse than normal.

You post is encouraging! I only dosed half yesterday so will have to keep an eye on how things go.

I am native and that's really interesting! I had never heard of that before but I could definitely see that being the case.

As for my joints and BPC, I am cleared to exercise again soon, so I can really start putting them to work lol. Up until now besides the increased comfort, I have also felt that because they're less tense and more loose, it has been easier to accidentally hyperextend, which isn't ideal. I think I am getting used to it though, it seemed to be worse on day 2-3, so hopefully just a temporary thing. I'll update once I've put some stress on them!

Thanks for letting me know about the thread, I'll definitely check it out!

Yeah unfortunately treatment seems to be limited and focused on managing the bad and not much else. If all of these BPC claims are true I could envision it being a significant help to hypermobile people or people suffering from connective tissue disorders though, fingers crossed.

Also, since BPC has a short half life, you could take it during the day and see if you feel any different too. Keep us updated! : )

I haven't noticed BPC having cognitive effects, but it's been quite a while since I resolved my chronic anxiety problems, so probably there was nothing to fix in that area.

On the other hand, I started using BPC mainly to fix my digestive issues, diarrhea caused by carnivore diet. Carnivore and previous other animal base diets probably fixed already what BPC could help with, and it unfortunately didn't help with the cause of diarrhea. But, it did fix my prostatitis symptoms almost entirely, something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere about BPC. We are still learning what it can do!

I did read about a mouse study that BPC helped with brain injuries caused by alcohol, so maybe there's a connection there?
