Hi.

I've been reading older posts, and there seems to be a couple different go-to ways for administration: syringes, pens (set units and manually depress), and autoinjectors (set units and it'll inject for you). I'm leaning towards filtration with syringes, though the reviews for cart/vial sterility and the pens themselves seem mixed. I'm not really looking to buy an autoclave any time soon.

Question: Do I need insulin syringes specifically?

Other than pens, is there no 1cc syringe type where you can switch the needle between drawing the solution and administering it? I'm not finding Luer-loks for 1ml, only Luer slips, which sounds unappealing. Are there any concerns for administering with non-insulin syringes?

Push comes to shove, I'll just use the syringes. I have no need for pens at the moment. I just want to cover my bases.

Thank you in advance.

I've bought 1cc Luer Locks from one of our forum sponsors: https://injectionshop.com/ts-bd-1ml.html/

The issue you might run into is finding thinner gauge needles that are short enough for convenient sub-q use.

Thank you. Big fan btw. Both of the Daily Dose of Wisdom and other works

I mean, I use pens even for tirz. There is just nothing at all about the regular use of any peptides that pens don't make easier and better for me. I used a syringe the other day because I was feeling too lazy to load up a cart, and I didn't like it at all; and before pens, I wondered why anyone would want a pen except that they were bored.

For me, the pen needles seem to hurt a lot less than syringe needles.

You can buy the smallest gauge needles only as pen needles. 32, even 34 guage. The thinner

needles are less painful. The smallest I found in syringes was 31, which was fine. You want to look for sterilized and if you buy from diabetes supply companies they sell in bulk, which is much cheaper.

I was using 30g Insulin needles, while the pen needles were 31g. The 31g was less painful.

Insulin syringes are recommended so often because they are readily available. In most states, it is really easy to order them online, in bulk, at low prices.

As you know, they also have the prettiest calculator:

The day I can't do the math in my head is the day I hang it all up and have my name tattooed on my hand so I'll have a way to remember it! 🤣

Here is an option to consider - Underground Supply (a mentioned vendor) sells reconstitution kits with or without BAC water and filters. This is a great way to start while you get used to the process. You can also add 1ml and 3ml syringe barrels from that site or others, including Amazon. For injections, you'll consider 4, 5, or 6mm needles, and for reconstitution, you'll consider .5, 1.0, or 1.5 inches in length and 18-24g in thickness. A few of the vendors will also sell smaller packs of 5-10-25 syringes - both insulin or luer lock.

Yes they are a great resource.

Hi.

If you don’t mind me asking, do you filter into your carts?

Second, have you tried any more new pens? Last I saw, the pens from Ali did not work out. What pens did you end up sticking with?

Thank you for your suggestion.

Currently, the top two shops for supplies I’ve been looking at is this and the Injection Shop. Followed by Peptide Test and All Things Peptide.

Lemme just say it was an experience reading the old threads and seeing people talk about the BACpocalpyse and how some people ordered stuff from Canada and it got held up in customs…

Hi I am glad to share my experiences. I do filter everything now. I follow the procedures explained by 50shadesofgreymarket, and peptidetest.com. I may vary slightly, but their recs are good.. Since I recon just 1-2 vials of 30mg at a time, I use the 4mm filters (which are often difficult, and get tossed. but I dont want to waste the peptide using a 13mm... I prewet them with bac water when I'm reconning.

You can find the threads searching filtering, there are a few, and it's worth reading through them all..peptidetest.com has the vid links on their web site under education. I want one of those colorful holders for carts, but for now am using 3 wooden clothespins to hold the cart still while I filter in the solution. 🤣

I bought all my pens from Alibaba, V1 pens that work just fine. I have been using them for many months now..(I have not yet done the testing of dose accuracy) I had a difficult time getting them shipped to me, because Im in Hawaii. The same type can be found for sale at underground supply, all things peptides and elsewhere. When I need more I'd choose to buy from them instead.

Many people love the other pens, that auto inject. I like to be in control of every click, so that's not for me.

I hope that helps, lmk if I can provide more info

Yes! Yes they do. I looked at a lot of online calculators and this one really made it clear to me how this all worked. I recommend this calc and this supplier all the time.

My issue with the insulin tuberculin syringes that have a 31g needle on them is that they seem almost too flimsy to puncture the diaphragm on the vial when you're going to draw some liquid out.

And can someone explain the need for filtration as well? Thanks.

oh, rude, I just noticed I never answered this! Yes, I do filter into my carts. I put in the venting needle (with a filter over it, which is probably not terribly necessary, but eh) on one side of it, and the filtered needle on the luer lock on the other side of it; both away from the center so I don't mangle the part the pen needle goes into.

And nope, I never tried any new ones; when I realized the Ali ones were springing back halfway through the plunge, I got exasperated, but realized all I really need in general is four pens; one for Survo, one for tirz, one for KLOW or epitalon, and one extra because I'll be so irate if one breaks and I have to just order ONE pen. I already had two V1's from thepeppen, and I don't love them because they're large and my hands are not, but they ARE smooth, accurate, and reliable. So I ordered two more pens, and enough carts to hit the free shipping, and then went back about my business.

I ordered V2 from alibaba but what I struggle with is, even though I’ve tested them and it’s fairly accurate, I feel like there is a lot of room for error if I push too fast. Then I’m fighting that the pen itself isn’t very smooth so it’s hard to push it slowly because it takes some force. Those issues coupled with the low dose of injection, 6 units, it concerns me that I’m getting 2/3 instead of 6. Whenever I reconstitute I’m going to add more BAC so I’ll inject more volume to hopefully negate some of those worries.
