Hi.
I've been reading older posts, and there seems to be a couple different go-to ways for administration: syringes, pens (set units and manually depress), and autoinjectors (set units and it'll inject for you). I'm leaning towards filtration with syringes, though the reviews for cart/vial sterility and the pens themselves seem mixed. I'm not really looking to buy an autoclave any time soon.
Question: Do I need insulin syringes specifically?
Other than pens, is there no 1cc syringe type where you can switch the needle between drawing the solution and administering it? I'm not finding Luer-loks for 1ml, only Luer slips, which sounds unappealing. Are there any concerns for administering with non-insulin syringes?
Push comes to shove, I'll just use the syringes. I have no need for pens at the moment. I just want to cover my bases.
Thank you in advance.
