Tirz 第一周

It is my second week at .250mcg. I still have appetite suppression, however, I developed some acid reflux and nausea the day after pinning. I guess I am super sensitive to tirz.

I took famotidine at night to resolve the acid reflux and woke up without any issues in the morning.

Today I have eaten a bit more food that I have been able to tolerate in the previous week throughout the day without nausea. I have struggled with food allergies and gastropaeresis in the past. So far, I feel like I am digesting what I am eating and eating what I want without any psychological coercion if that makes sense.

I've been on 2.5mg for 8 weeks now and the appetite suppression has slowly started to creep back in although it is still completely manageable. The first month was surreal, I had to ensure i was eating enough and struggled to get enough calories on some days. Drink far more water than you think you need, add in some calcium and magnesium supplements as well.

I'm away on holiday next week so i'm planning to move up to 3.5mg just before that as i'm sure the temptation to over indulge will be quite high. I'll probably move up to 5mg once a week soon after but hopefully I'll be able to stay on that dose for as long as possible.

My very first kit of tirz is scheduled to arrive tomorrow! Seeing all your stories here is so inspiring and helpful for my anxious brain
Good luck! 😁

This is my first week of tirz (2.5mg). I am coming over from wegovy 1mg pens. I wanted to start tirz at 5mg but I was nervous about side effects so i choose to begin on the starter dose.

No crazy side effects just a bit of burping but that went away in a day. I did notice that i felt appetite suppression within a few hours of injecting tirz which never happened to me on wegovy. I was pleasantly surprised.

However, i feel it wearing off by day 4. Im just now learning that the half life of tirz is 5 days not 7 like sema. I think i will go up to 5mg for my next dose and probably do every 5 days.

By the way i lost about 30lbs on wegovy in 3 months. Im looking forward to tirz i just have to find the right dose that works for me.

I'd give it some time. Interestingly, I was feeling 2.5mg of Tirz in week 3 as somewhat weaker than weeks 1-2, but then again in weeks 4, 5, and now 6 (started today), I'm feeling it on full blast, same dose, 2.5mg.

Don't be in to big a hurry to go up in dosage. There are good reasons for not doing so and being in to big a hurry can actually set you back. Ask me how I know.... Your 1st dose partially adds to your 2nd dose and both them add to your 3rd dose and so on. It's all cumulative. Start small and go up slowly is the best medicine which many of the 'old timers' will attest to. For myself, I was doing great at 5mg, got in a hurry to speed up the process and jumped to 7.5mg and got hit with horrible sides and after playing around with split doses for a few weeks and going back down for a few more weeks and ended up starting all over at 5mg and even at that level took a few more weeks for the worst of the sides to pass. Lost all those weeks and put myself thru misery all because I had the "if a little is good lots must be better" addiction mind. The GLP's aren't the 'magic' by them selves ,there's work that has to be put in...

I'm nearly 4 months in now, but my original Day One I remember getting up (pinned the night before and went to bed) convinced Tirz was a dud, didnt feel anything really. Then I sat down to eat...and couldn't finish much of anything. And what little I had was ...dare I say it....enough. my prevailing thought all day long and ever since was, "My God, is this what a normal relationship with food is like?" To NOT be thinking about it all the time. To have a normal sized portion and be completely satisfied with that. Stunning. I still can't get over the surprise of that. All these people who have not had obesity to deal with, living their lives like THIS? Wow.

这是我使用Tirz(2.5毫克)的第一周。

I think the official dose increments for tirz are pretty good, just going up 2.5 no matter what the dose with lower odds of bad side effects.

I think if you already have mild tolerable side effects , it is a good indication to either not increase the dose or increase by a small amount, to minimise the risks of being hit with suddenly very unpleasant effects.

Reta with 2 4 8 12 is a bit less conservative, and I would add 6 and 10mg in there

Semaglutide is not as well thought out 0.25 0.5 1 1.7 2.4, but the later drugs had more time and experience to fine tune the schedule. The jump from 0.5 to 1mg is not a good idea, and should be to 0.75, especially given it tends to cause more GI side effects anyway.

I previously used prescription Ozempic, and found it very ineffective. The only thing it did was give me really bad constipation lol. It was a waste of $ for me.

When I started Tirz, I did a lot of reading, and decided I wanted to go the every 5 day route.

First pin I did 1mg. Second I did 1.5mg. I’ll be honest, I didn’t feel anything after the first pin, but after the 2nd, the appetite suppression kicked in hard. Which is exactly what I need to reel in my binge eating. I can eat no problem, it’s just a lot less, which is amazing. Not sure if I will pin #3 at 1.5mg again, or do 2mg.

My husband on the other hand.. he seems to be very sensitive to GLP1’s. Poor guy had awful gastro side effects on the Ozempic, and it looks to be the same with Tirz. Funny how different everyone reacts.

I think it’s smart to take it slow and only go up if necessary. I will say the first couple weeks I was doing great with no issues and then the third week I was so irritated. Especially at night. Just irrational irritation and moodiness.

I got some magnesium and did a full day fast and I’ve been much better. I think my body was not used to being at such a deficit and wasn’t burning my fat stores. By fasting I was forcing my body to use the stored fat. It was shocking how much it helped.

my only side effects on the first day was the anxiety i gave myself for wondering if this is even a good idea, but i'm over it 😀
I relate so much to this!! lol. I have really bad anxiety and panic disorder. Was able to talk myself down, thankfully 😅

Have hubs consider Reta - I switched from high-dose Tirz and the gastro sides are almost non-existent for me. I went full send on it too, started at 2 mg and titrated up to 6 mg every 84 hours over 8 weeks.

On the whole, I think it's reasonable to keep the dose you're on as long as it's effective for your goals. I've heard of some folks never going over 5 mg and losing 40% of their body weight. Mrs. NYD has lost over 50% of her body weight but had to work up to 10 mg every 84 hours and now she's transitioning over to Reta as the GI sides have been absolutely brutal for her at that dose.

50% is amazing!!

Other than the GI issues, any other side effects titrating every 84 hours?

I will definitely talk to him about Reta. I think he would be willing to try, if the GI stuff stops.

She had slightly less difficult GI sides with 10 mg / 84 hours, but it was still rough for her.

For me on Reta, no. I was at either 12.5 or 15 on Tirz and for 48 hours after that shot I felt like I got hit by a train. And the GI sides were awful. Plus I had stalled on loss for 8-12 weeks (I don't remember any more). I would have dealt with the sides if I continued to lose, but with no loss, I couldn't do it any more. The worst I have with Reta, even with this high dose I'm on, is a little nausea now and then. I find that I just absolutely don't want to eat, and I'll go 18 hours on maybe 300 calories and then I'll get so nauseous that I have to eat something. Mentally I'd be fine not eating for 2 or 3 days, I suspect, but I get such a strong physical reaction to it (and lets be real, as humans we should not just voluntarily want to eat only every 72 hours) that I have to eat.
