Tips for minimizing GHK-Cu ISR?

I finally got my hands on some GHK-basic and can report that this completely alleviates all discomfort from GHK-Cu now. I’d previously tried the extra BAC approach. I had pretty good success with adding epi/lido as described in this post. That made it tolerable, but there was still a dull pain that came on after a few hours and lasted most of the day.

I’d seen people on Peppy’s say they had good luck with adding basic. Karma-electron uses a 5:1 Cu to basic ratio. Some use 1:1, but I wanted to start with a lower amount and see how effective that was. For my first batch with basic, I used a 3:1 ratio just because it made my blend math easy. I used no epi/lido at all and didn’t use the lidocaine alcohol wipes either and have had no burning/stinging or delayed aches or pains at all.

From all the posts about GHK-Cu, it’s clear that everyone responds differently, but if you’ve tried the other approaches and still have discomfort, it’s worth trying it with some basic as well. If you want to read up on the thoughts as to why this helps, just search Peppy’s. There are some good discussions there.

That's amazing, thanks for sharing the results of your experience. I'm glad that at least for now, I only get an ISR that itches a little on and off for a day, but the raised, red welt bothers me simply from a cosmetic perspective. I pin exclusively on the outer thighs, and they look a fright at this point.

I was even going to just pin the GHK today, without the KPV right before to see if just the one poke will reduce the welt. I've been reading here and there that KPV can be a little inflamatory, even as it helps heal the same.

I'm assuming the basic doesn't minimize the benefits of the standard, correct?

That’s odd that folks would be saying KPV has an inflammatory effect. It’s known for systemic anti-inflammatory benefits. I absolutely LOVE it for all kinds of aches and pains. It never did much for me to mitigate the issues with GHK-Cu, but I used it in previous blends because I wanted KPV anyway. I’ve run it for a few months, though, so I decided I’d cycle off for a bit.

My understanding is that basic does not counteract or nullify the benefits of the GHK-Cu. Here’s a link to one of the discussions on Peppy’s. (I confirmed linking to other platforms is still allowed per forum rules.) https://chat.peppys.org/t/ghk-cu-ghk-basic-blend-no-sting/36939

I now add 1ml of lidocaine 2% per 50mg(62mg with overfill) of ghk-cu. Red spot but no itch or pain (My dermatologist use 0.6cc of 1% lidocaine per injection before taking skin sample, so I figure I am way below that dosage).

And...this is the part where I remember I'm not a member of Peppy's. 😭

I think it was a few members of reddit who were posting in long covid and other autoimmune threads about the KPV being maybe too much at the same time as the GHK.

Key for me has been to dilute, dilute and dilute. 10ml BAC per 50mg GHK-cu - no ISR for me.
I only went up to 6ml BAC for my GHK 60mg (bought at 50 but purity came back at closer to 60). So, my next vial I'll up the ratio from 6:1 to 10:1 and see if that does the trick.

It’s definitely worth joining Peppy’s. Here’s how to do so:

You’ll need to join and spend a couple of weeks reading, interacting, and learning before you can promote and see all areas of the forum.

Draw your ghk-cu into the syringe, then draw in 500 - 750 mcg of KPV. That combo will really help. My partner lab rabbit is very sensitive to ISR redness, sting, itch. She is on both ghk-cu and kpv. Since kpv is compatible with ghk-cu in solution, and since kpv is an anti inflammatory, I thought to put them together. 9 out of 10 time she now has zero ISR.
