Hey all - I'm looking for a high gauge (27g-29g) that are 1" (25mm) long. Do they make them? The thinnest I can find are 25g and I'm starting to think that the 1" long needles need to be a thicker gauge so they don't bend. Thanks!

Are you using them for recon?

There are 25g 1.5" and 30g 1" without going to a medical supply.

They are definitely bendy! I don't know how that would be for IM.

I'm sure there are other places, but to test a few for research:

I wouldn't go that thing and that long. Too bendy.

I use a 31g 5/16" for everything. Recon. Pinning. Occasionally a stopper will not want to play nicely. They can be bendy. Toss into the sharps container and keep going.

Sorry I should have been more detailed. This is for an IM injection

I use 25g x 1” needles for IM injections of oils. Never had an issue. You wouldn’t want a thinner needle like a 31g. Much higher chance of bending. You’d go the opposite direction if you want thicker needles. 23g or 21g.

This is the best vendor I’ve found for price and variety. If you can’t find exactly what you want in an insulin syringe, you can purchase barrels and hypodermic needles. They usually have a coupon code that you can find via a quick google search for your first order. I get my 31g insulin syringes for GLPs, 30g 1/2 inch for IV glutathione, and my syringe barrels with 27g 1 inch needles for oils all have in one place. They even sell alcohol wipes.

Curious if all the crybabies with delicate sensibilities who bash the right get this same warning m, or if it’s the one sided, which is my speculation [Imported image pending local asset: data-attachments-15-15823-6f7418ba2f4d8b9645c7060dfcd6cbda.jpg]

It's something anyone who repeatedly lacks respect for the forum rules and other members gets to contend with until they either improve their attitude or leave.

Hey Zippy, is this for new members like myself as well? I get this. Want to make sure I am not breaking any rules.

Problem solved.

BD, Nipro, and Excel all make 1.25" 27g needles. BD makes a 1" 30g needle that I'm aware of as well.

thanks. my problem is i keep wimping out when I go to do an IM injection and then it hurts a lot more because i have to push harder. I was hoping to get something smaller than 25g so it doesn't hurt as much. or i just need to actually stab and stop being a wimp.

I use these Thin Wall needles. They slide right in. Best I’ve used since I started injecting oils.

I draw with a 21g and switch to these 25’s for injecting.

27g and 30g are smaller than 25g. But 1/2" is long enough to get into the muscle on the shoulder if you have reached a healthy leanness.

Careful what you wish for. I used 1” 30g for cerebroprotein and you have to push like hell to get that stuff through that thin syringe. The IM part of the process didn’t hurt at all, during or after, but my thumbs were sore as hell!
