Syringe Selection 1/2" vs 5/16"

Just wanted to share this info. Hopefully its helpful to others.

My wife was having some bruising form using 1cc 29G x1/2" when shooting Glow and Reta. So i switched over 1cc 30G x 5/16".

The new 1cc 30G x 5/16" seem to be causing less bruising on my wife's belly. Also the 1cc 30G x 5/16" seem to be cheaper. I was able to purchase the new syringes for about $11 for a pack of 100.

Thanks for sharing this. I accidentally ordered 1/2" instead of 5/16" and have grown to prefer that length for some reason. I feel like there's less bruising when I can penetrate deeper. But like you I prefer the higher gauges.

Can you share where you found your $11 deal? It's getting harder to get needles here in Florida. Costco won't sell without a prescription and Amazon won't ship the Easy Touch brand here.

Never heard of that brand. I only have BD and Easy Touch 31g 8mm in .05 and 1ml. Have you tried the 31g 5/16" syringe? We love them.

I have not tried the 31G's. I bought a 1000 of the 30G's. So im probably set for a very long time.

Heck! Ill probably have a AI robot servant injecting be before I run out of 30G syringes.

I had very mild bruising when pinning GHK in the abdomen.

I switched to the upper glutes, 1 inch below the waistline and no issues at all.

Reta is fine in the abdomen.

I am using 31G 1/4" i.e. 6mm. I would use even shorter syringes if were available. Typical insulin pen needle is 4mm. Unless you have some rare skin condition you can do subcutenous injection with needles longer than 2 mm.

I’ve used pretty much every gauge and length insulin syringe from Easy Touch. I can’t tell the difference. Never had any bruising.

I’ve settled on 30g x 1/2” for pinning peps.

Maybe consider trying a reusable injection pen. I think I've seen 34g pen needle and lengths 4-6mm. V1/V2 pens can be found real reasonable and the learning curve is doable and once you've done it, it's a piece of cake Most folks who try it don't go back to syringes. injection shop.com(forum sponser) is a good place to start as is Underground supply.

I like the 6mm. They seem to work better with my GLP than GHK-Cu.

I prefer 30g to 31g. The 31s are really flimsy and I have bent some when drawing from a vial.

I been using a convi pen with both 8mm and 4mm needles for my GHK-cu. When I use the 4mm it burns no matter where I pin.

I've heard the short needles are more burn for GHK-Cu. It's been true for me.
