So what is the verdict with reconstituting Cagrilintide then?

Newbie here, recently ordered some reta and cagri from JEEP that should be here by next week.

Now I've done extensive research on reta and I'm comfortable enough in regards to the risks with taking grey market reta.

But I'm very confused in regards to cagrilintide. Between the discussions here and on other forums plus research I've done I initially thought grey market cagri was pretty safe.

I didn't even order any AA and just planned to reconstitute it with normal bac water but all the talk about fibrils and oligomers has me scared a little bit scared if I'm honest so I wanted to have a discussion here.

Alot of the prior discussions are from quite a while ago I imagine with cagrisema likely to hit the market this year we should have a better understanding of how cagrilintide will affect those of us taking grey market.
 
I've always only reconstituted cagri with BAC only, and have never used AA with it. I've bought from a couple of different sources too, and haven't had any problems with just using BAC.
 
I have a habit of putting 2ml AA water into a new vial of bac already, so it's neither here or there for me. Did it for Cag and just decided to do it to any new vials I have since I have a full kit of AA water anyway.

Sorry to bug you, but I have a couple of questions, hope it's ok to ask! I hadn't considered doing it this way, I bought AA to use with cagri. Does this make your peptides last longer? Does it mess with pH in the compounds that need to be more alkaline? Do you pH test everything after you reconstitute? Thanks in advance for any knowledge and experience you're willing to share!
 
Besides this site constantly talking about it, the other site i frequent that has much more information on it made me feel confident about using Hospira Bac with it. I'm researching it, if you're researching it, you might come to your own conclusion.

Care to share what other site your getting this info from? As I'm just trying to air on the side of caution seeing as Novo Nordisk themselves reported they had major concerns about possible damage to the pancreas and early dementia to due to possibility of fibrils developing.

It's good to be careful. We have to move through this however is comfortable for each of us. Reading and research is everything.

doesn't it burn? do you use it with all of your peptides or just cagri?

It has no effect on the longevity of peptides. I just do it out of habit now. As far as alkaline levels, the peptides I take are fine. I never Ph test now as 2ml seems to be the sweet spot.
 
I use AA (Acetic Acid) 0.6%. I test the pH with a Defirm Litmus Test Strip with 4 colors as I could not get good results with regular paper. I also like the Hydrion Paper Strips 0.0-6.0 pH (or 5.5-8.0pH) as they have a decimal precision.

Read a study that cagri at pH 7.4 deteriorated by 45% after 10 days. Novo use 3.5-4.5pH in their product description. For that reason, I add AA since one vial last me 5+ weeks. I end up using about 2/3 AA 0.6% and 1/3 bac to get ~pH 4.0. No AA does not sting. AA is not a good pH for most bacteria to grow. Most peptides do not need AA for reconstitution (aod9604 maybe?)

On fibrils, you may be reading old material. "The amylin-analog cagrilintide contains 14E and 17R mutations to create a salt bridge, stabilizing the central helix structure. It includes 25P/28P/29P mutations to reduce the protein’s propensity to form fibrils". I know Novo could be lying but lawsuits are expensive. I feel pesticides, nitrates, etc will do me in before fibrils. 🙂

I stopped cagri 6 mths ago as it made me too nauseous but starting again this week to loose the last 10-15# and I have 15 vials on hand. I could go one day with no food. No appetite at all.
