the thing is when I inject reta the first 4 days I get the absolute benefit which I definitely notice such as hunger suppression or better mood overall but day 5 it starts to lower and the food noise starts very slowly to come back and on days 6 it gets harder and day 7 is the hardest where I basically question if reta is even working....

Fundamentally there’s nothing wrong with what you’re proposing.

Can you give more context to how long you’ve been on it, as well as what dosage you’re at and your titration progression thus far?

Remember as well, if you shift from 7d cycle to 5d cycle, you are effectively titrating up in dosage by roughly 29% per week.

I've been on it for almost 4 week, as of the dosage as of the dosage, i'm taking 2mg now and its also the dosage I started on reta. and like I've said above I'm noticing some improvement here and there but thinking to increase it to 4mg

The general argument to keeping once a week is to reduce the chance of building tolerance. That's theoretical, but also makes sense. Like was said before, its effectively increasing the dose so I might try increasing first. Its all theory and we are all lab rats, especially with Reta, so it may be a matter of trying one then the other and see what works best.

I started every 6 days right the the beginning.

But you're right, even by the 5th day I can feel it's wearing off.

yeah for me its like between day 1 and day 5 its the same effect every single day but day 6 and day 7 it starts to wear off to the point where I get more hungrier then before taking it

Ok. You’re in a good space to be able to increase dosage if necessary.

You have a few paths forward- kind of depends if your plan is to titrate aggressively from the get-go, or to stay as low as possible while still being effective.

If titrating faster, either jump to 2mg twice a week(4mg/7days), or maybe 3mg every 5 days(3.86mg/7days).

If looking to stay effective but low as possible, I’d look at doing something more like 1.25-1.5mg twice a week and gauge how you’re feeling.

2 mg twice a week is what I think is the best option.

This is what I did, so I can’t argue 😌

I’ve split-dosed throughout, minus my very first pin.. My wife as well- Managing sides esp. for her is the key to her success. I’ve been happy with all progress and satiety.

seems like you have a lot of knowledge.. I wanted to ask you if you could help me with a topic I'm facing with my hobby as a runner,

Doing minimal of 4-5 Times Gym and 3-4 runs mostly Long runs Wirth Distance between 10-30 km and some Intervalls and currently Doing 1800 Cals With 180g Protein 60 fat and the Rest With carb. we usally Comes to around 80-120g... i weigh 80kg and have good amount of muscles already and am lean (visible 4 packs)

my goal is to have a low bodyfat so my body and face improve. which approach is better the aggressive approach in the deficit which Im currently doing or should I do a 200-500 calorie deficit (normal calorie deficit) for my goal

Keep in mind the half life of Reta at 6 days or so. I can feel a difference from day 6 to pins on day7.

I pin every 5 days, I have experimented with a variety of time intervals and like 5 the best. Give it a try and see how it feels.

Your macros aren’t bad, it’s good you have moderate carbs already incorporated (Reta likes using moderate carbs), however you may want to lean toward to 120g end instead of the 80g side for the carbs, and if you want to shave cals for it, maybe drop a few grams from fats. Otherwise I’d just keep what your doing and assess as you progress- you’re only 4ish weeks in, there’s plenty of evaluating ahead and listen to your body.

You are only on a very low dose and only for a short time, so a bit early to tell a lot. Knowing age , start weight and target weight and height would help. If you have a lot of weight to lose then increasing doses makes sense and will probably fix the problem of the effect wearing off towards the end of the week, depends a bit on side effects as well, if they are a problem, then dosing either twice a week or every 5 days is an option as well. Depends a fair bit on if you are starting at a BMI of 30 or 40 , if at the higher end of the scale then you are likely to need full doses eventually anyway and gradually increasing doses towards that makes sense, whether it is every 7th or 5th or 3 1/2th day. If you have less weight to lose then you may not need high doses, but what you are on now is not enough to control hunger so needs to increase either by more frequent doses, that add up to higher weekly doses , or by higher doses once a week.

There is no evidence of tolerance to the weight loss effects of GLP drugs, there is tolerance to some early effects like delayed gastric emptying and gastrointestinal side effects over the first 2 to 6 months.

I experienced the same thing as you where days 2-3-4 I don't care about food and on 5-6-7 it starts to sound increasingly more and more appealing. You are still pretty early on and doubling your exposure is likely to be a mistake. I see a few viable options. 1.6mg every 5 days or fully splitting 1.1mg every 3.5 days are what I would suggest trying first.

I started at every 7 days, but due to food hunger I switched to every 6 days. I'm a little less than 5 months in and have lost 20.5kg.

I switched to every 5 days. I noticed that day 6 and 7 was not effective.

8mg every 5 days is where I’m at

9 weeks in. Current dose 3mg. Increasing to 4 next pin on Sundays. By dinner Sunday through thursday am I don't care about food. By Saturday it's like a didnt take anything and that's my cheat day. One meal only. 225 starting weight down to 196ish currently. Never getting enough protein working out hard 5 days a week. Need to up my 7 days step counts. Trying 4mg and seeing how that feels but most likely going to move to a 5 day schedule.

Just roll with it. Enjoy eating the a day or 2.

Give it a couple of months and trust your scale and not your feelings. Resist the urge to chase that high!
