Does it make sense to combine a small amount of semaglutide with retatrutide to increase appetite suppression? Has anyone done it and can suggest dosing, considering I’m already at about 8 mg of reta per week?

There is likely someone on here doing it, but I know that the Reta + Tirz combo is used more frequently by subjects ‘round these parts for that same purpose.

There are a lot of mixed feelings and opinions on stacking GLP peps, not necessarily from currently experienced adverse effects, but from the lack of research and evidence on whether the stack is safe biologically.

One thought is that Reta vs either other GLP has different glucose effects/needs and may partially inhibit the efficacy of the other.

Another thought is to be aware of the total stimulus of the receptors, considering the stacking of (some of) the same receptors.

With respect to these concerns, a common solution is to stack Cagrilintide instead, as it uses a different receptor / function, but accomplishes meaningful food noise suppression.

That all said, I’ve done the Reta+Tirz stack for a little bit of time for the sole purpose of the quieting food noise effect Tz has, have been comfortable with it without any adverse effects, but am always learning, growing, adapting, refining my protocols. Everyone has different thresholds of risk or venturing into the unknown- at the end of the day, keep your eyes and mind open, and listen to your body.

Tirz seems to be most effective for that, so switching would seem the better bet. There seems to be a pretty good argument that adding a bit of Reta to a Tirz regimen might increase results, but keep in mind, the faster the weight loss, the more muscle tends to be lost. You can mitigate it with proper diet and resistance training, but if you are doing all that, you likely don't need the boost.

My doctor currently prescribes me 2.4mg of semaglutide via Wegovy.

I have stagnated with the medicine. I have not lost any weight since last year, July 2025. Perhaps the most I’ve lost is 5lbs.

I’m thinking to stack 0.25mg or 0.5mg of retatrutide starting Monday, April 13 2026.

On Monday I will take my wegovy shot per usual.

And on Thursday, I will start retatrutide.

I hope I survive this experiment!
