Rusfertide For TRT

I have read that Rusfertide is a peptide that mimics hepcidin and helps control hematocrit. I am interested if anyone has a source for this or experience through the trials they have conducted?

I am struggling with high hematocrit and then after phlebotomy I struggle with low ferritin. It’s a vicious cycle. I do all the recommended steps by both my doctor and then deviate to bro science and do the Vorck method. Nothing has moved the needle outside of hydration but it doesn’t help after a certain point. Rusfertide is interesting if it can really help with this issue.

Had an appointment with my prescribing testosterone TRT doctor. He says Rusfertide could help solve my erythrocytosis (elevated hematocrit) when released to market. He had no idea when it would be available and if it will be covered by insurance or affordable. He says there is a real need for this type of drug if it is approved by FDA and he has dozens of clients who would benefit if this is as successful as it is touted.

So I have been contacting peptide suppliers and it seems my contacts are not familiar with this compound. I challenged a couple to research it as they provide more than peptides. We shall see what they find. I believe one day it will be available gray or black/dark market. Tired of phlebotomies and ferritin crashes.

What are your free and total T at 50mg a week? What ester? Cyp? Enan? What is your hematocrit at 50mg per week? Goodness I would be in Total 100-200 range. 100mg a week at me at 334 total/63 free pinning everyday. How often do you pin?

That’s pretty crazy. I’d think 50mg would put most people below their base.

From what I understand it's up for approval later this year, and release in early 2027. If approved it'll become more widely known and someone will make it (and a boat load of money) because every dude on gear will buy it. I'm keeping an eye out too, I'm only at 46% but if Rusfertide comes out I would likely run some stronger cycles lol

But… it was mid 50’s before I got my sleep apnea dialed in. I was getting a phlebotomy every 7 weeks and crashed my ferritin. It’s the worst I’ve ever felt physically. Thankfully, I got another sleep test and a way better fitting mask.

I’m just getting everything dialed in on my bloods. I found the Rusfertide and was like dang… I need it.

Fingers crossed it comes out soon. And gray will pick it up.

Man, my HCT sits at 46 too. I’m on Losartin and it appears to help a little as well.

But… it was mid 50’s before I got my sleep apnea dialed in. I was getting a phlebotomy every 7 weeks and crashed my ferritin. It’s the worst I’ve ever felt physically. Thankfully, I got another sleep test and a way better fitting mask.

I’m just getting everything dialed in on my bloods. I found the Rusfertide and was like dang… I need it.

OSA control is KEY. I've had OSA since 11th grade (big fat neck lol. HS football coach had it and told me to get a sleep study after I fell asleep on the team bus and was gasping ). I've been 100% compliant with my APAP, avg AHI rolling 30 days of 1.8. OSA and OSA side effects scare the shit out of me, had a college football buddy who died in his sleep from it, it's no joke.

I've spoken to so custom API manufacturers and done heaps of research into it and Rusfertide is going to be a challenge since it's a cyclic peptide. From what I understand it's much harder to synthesize and our current testing partners in the grey space don't possess or offer the type of testing needed to accurately test a cyclic peptide. Someone's going to make a mint when they crack the code!

Man, that’s hard to read and think about. This will have the ability to help so many folks who have to give blood so much because of TRT. And apparently it going to help cancer patients. Let’s this thing loose! We need it.

I’m glad you got the apnea under control. I was aspirating four or five nights a week with it. I eventually got pneumonia from it. That led to my sleep tests. And it still wasn’t regulated well until I got this mask. Total friggin game changer! It’s so uncomfortable to wear at first, yet it’s the best treatment I’ve had so far.
