Reta对糖的渴望很强烈,Tirz你也有这种感觉吗?

I know those cravings for sweets. And the annoying thing, which I experienced with Sema and also with Tirz, is that it's like an inner tickle.

Something that constantly triggers and tickles me from the inside until I give in. I feel so empty and useless if I either don't give in to this tickle, or, paradoxically, when the tickle is gone and I don't get a dopamine rush. Does anyone have a remedy for this? 🙂
I think you’re on to something with the dopamine rush. Your mind wants it one way or another. When I quit drinking, sugar replaced the alcohol. When I got on tirz, initially my sugar cravings were totally annihilated. But eventually my dopamine cravings reignited my desire for ANYTHING?? Could that be it?

Sooooo…..now I get that rush of satisfaction….when the next package of powdered goodness (or potential badness) shows up on my doorstep. And…..the basement freezer is nearly full….<mic drop>

Was this tested for endotoxins (not just sterility)? Do you filter?

There are some 30mg orange top Tirz running around the apparently are testing high for endos and those could cause the effect you're talking about. Same for sterility, but you'd probably see your vial going cloudy after a while as the bacteria grow in it.
My tirzepatide is prescribed—I get it from a pharmacy.

If it's an EL pen, then it's for sure pharma grade, and I'd hope most of the teledoc compounding pharmacies (Ro / Brello) were testing fully (before they add B6), but it's important to note that they all buy from China as well, just in much larger quantities. They may buy the raw APIs, but I've seen vials that definitely looked like they had been reconned (distributed with labels over pulled caps). As their margins get sqeezed or they eye an exit they might not test as much as they should.

I really want to trust the compounding pharmacies, but I definitely don't trust medspas. I was also on prescribed ZepB, before compound, before grey.

I don't crave anything on Tirz, it's been a huge game changer for me and quite surreal getting my head around it!

Add in some Cagrilintide if you need the help. Remember, Reta only carries about 40% the efficacy of Semaglutide when it comes to the GLP-1 agonist aspect. Cag should shut that right down for you. When designing Reta they had to make a single molecule that targeted all 3. They chose to have a much higher efficacy for the GIP and Glucagon agonism as opposed to targeting straight appetite suppression.

If I understand correctly, Cagri affects a different pathway entirely (it binds amylin receptors and is not a GLP agonist). I see your point about Reta being weaker on the GLP-1 agonist aspect and that's why some do combine it with either Tirz or Sema.

Personally Reta does not give me nearly enough appetite suppression on the one week out of the month that I need it most, so my plan is to combine it with CagriSema next time around (take that, receptors). My logic being that maybe targeting four different mechanisms (amylin, GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon) at a lower rate seems safer and less likely to leave long term effects than slamming the lever hard on one particular receptor. Idk if that makes sense from a medical perspective; if it doesn't, someone please let me know!

Not too long ago I started a similar thread about craving sugar with reta. However I didn't find that effect until I hit higher dosing at 8mg a week. It did eventually go away. The main thing I noticed is blood glucose became dangerously low because I was under eating carbs. Between loosing a bunch of weight, hitting the gym 5 times a week, and prioritizing only protein due to the appetite suppression, my body was starving for carbs. I have to check in the morning and at night now to make sure my numbers aren't too low. In which case I eat a small pack of oats followed by a protein shake. The oats help raise blood sugar and the protein slows the burn of carbs. It was crazy I never had low blood sugar probably because I was fat with plenty of glucose stored lol. My numbers in the morning dropped to between 45 and 31 blood sugar. During my research I have determined that I became too efficient in metabolizing which caused the cravings for sugar. I'm not a scientist but me and chat gbt put 2 and 2 together lol...

Look at the long term and physiological results with Reta, if your brain is saying "we need carbs and sugar" then try to provide that bump to the energy reserve (If the end state is binging I think that's a different story).

My best results with Reta were keeping up resistance training and cardio, when I started craving carbs my cardio and workouts felt fully powered. All the while, I still kept losing weight and toning.

At some point (goal weight) we stop requiring a calorie deficit and need to deal with the psychological trauma that decades of "eating this xxx" is wrong.

Its interesting to see how these peptides work for different people. Im opposite , reta killed my sweet tooth cravings but my overall hunger has increased. I think I still like reta better, maybe I am feeling what "normal" hunger is.

Do you think adding a bit of semaglutide to the reta would help the appetite suppression? I remember reading dont stack triz and reta, something about one works against the other but havnt heard or read that about sema.

I agree. When I want carbs, I eat carbs, and almost invariably I feel better after. I’ve noticed lately if I’m grumpy some carbs usually gets me back to baseline.

Two days ago I had 400 calories worth of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, before having Doritos and Jalapeño Cheddar hotdogs for dinner.

Two days ago I was 240lb, this morning I was 238lb.

Maybe it’s glucose levels, maybe it’s dopamine, maybe it’ a combination of that and whatever else. If it works, it works.

Not a good idea as both Reta and Sema target GLP-1. Don't want to smash that receptor too hard.

As the gentleman above me me mentioned, Cag targeted a different receptor entirely (Amylin). Congrats you now have a quadruple agonist!

The results on Reta have been FANTASTIC for me. Nothing short of incredible. Am I hungry? Yep. I'm just not hungry for garbage though, (soft drinks, chocolate etc...).

Im hungry for root vegetable, rice, and protein.

It does affect everyone differently but similarly. Strange fickle Mistress.

Same here—I’ve tried both reta and tirz. I switched back to tirz to keep my blood glucose stable and reduce the food noise. When I was on reta, I had nonstop GI issues, my fasting glucose increased, and my heart rate and pulse were elevated. I went back on Mounjaro, and now everything is trending back down.

Yes, it’s Mounjaro.

So I've never tried reta....didnt know it existed till i fell down the pep rabbit hole. I started with tirz a couple months back. I always had a huge sweet tooth...literally...cookies were half my diet for an entire year...anyways...since starting tirz, I havent once had any desire for any junk food, let alone sugar. Literally havent touched it since other than sugar naturally occurring in fruit. Ive heard reta isnt so good with that, so im happily sticking with tirz 🥰

Another big shock to me since starting on Tirz is how my alcohol consumption has gone down. Before, i would be looking for any excuse to crack open a few beers in the evening, and when i started i would get through as much as i could handle. Now, i don't have any craving for a beer and on the social occasions that I have had a drink I am consuming far less than I previously did.

I know there have been studies on how GLP-1's have been show to reduce addictions to alcohol and other substances and I can testify this is definitely bearing true in my case!
