Reta causing reduced sleep time(went from 7 to 5-6 hours, what did you do to solve this?

Reta does typically cause more sympathetic nervous system activation than the other glps, most people notice effects on heart rate more than sleep but no reason why it should not make sleep harder. These types of side effects do usually seem to get better over time

Hunger can be an issue that impairs sleep as well, so sometimes eating something not too long before bed can help.

Melatonin is pretty safe and non toxic and non addictive although doses more like 3mg are likely a better idea than 10mg, an hour or two before bed.

Or if it does not go away tirz instead.

1mg is killing your sleep? Didn't start till 6mg for me, and now on 8mg it's worst. Wife and I are doing gummies at bedtime. Half at bedtime, and the second half when I wake up about 11pm-1am. Don't mistake 4am for 11pm and take the second half at 4. I woke up wide awake at 4:45 and got up and stumbled around the house. Took me a few to even turn the coffee on. 🤣
how many mg are the gummies? I do them before bed occasionally but i used to take them every night. i cut them in 1/4. Felt like the brain fog wasn't worth it. Nights that i dont take them i take melatonin. I took them for sleep long before reta but it wasn't helping that much, i was waking up 1-2am after going to bed at 11-12 and just raiding the cabinets(part of the reason i got on the reta munchie weight)

Not even sure, I just do half at bed and the other when I wake around midnight-1AM. No midnight raiding of anything. They help us sleep, but I still get up around 5.

I think I've truly tried everything.. but I'm quite happy with my current sleep stack, which is mag glycinate, valerian root, and melatonin.

I tried a piece of sourbread toast last night and even though sleep time was the same it was better quality I think.

It was said above but melatonin is a thing. Is your sleep schedule disturbed waking up or just trouble falling back to sleep?

Any update, how has the sleep been?

Literally was coming here to update today, I increased carbs all week and as of two days ago my bowels normalized first time all month and last night got 7 hours!!! So happy lol

I wonder now did people see a reduced impact of reta that coincides with the side effects going away?? Thats my working theory but I hope its not true as I want to stay on this dose as long as possible.

Time. It stops around week 6 or so. Sleep is good again
You were right last day or two all the side effects stopped. Did you notice reduced effects of reta at the dose when the side effects stopped?

i'm having trouble sleeping after first dose of reta (0.5mg on sunday).

I felt 'alert' if that makes any sense.

Frustrating because aside from that, almost no benefits yet.

Sleep is a big part of weight loss so I am sure it is a wash

Nope. Still losing. Of course I'm also stacking tirz, added kpv last month, ghkcu two weeks ago, and wolverine this week, so who's to say what's really happening in my body right now?? 😂😂😂

When i first started the sleep was okay but going into week 3 there's been a noticeable decline in sleep quantity. I've tried everything(other than more peps)

-earlier sleep

-stop eating at 6

-phone outside room

The onset of my sleep is extremely quick with magnesium but staying asleep has become an issue. Looking to see if anyone had this and was able to figure it out without additional meds or if it goes away at a certain point?

Heading into 4th week 1mg twice a week since the beginning.

Your body wakes you up if your blood sugar drops too low. That's why it is such a B*%$ to go to bed hungry. Try forcing down a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Protein should hold you until morning.

.5mg is making you have sleep problems? I just don't understand. I didn't have issues till I hit 6mg, and now 8mg is worse.

What made you start on .5mg? Did you read any of the E Lilly trial studies?

For those taking melatonin, too much can actually cause sleep loss. I take 3 mg but at 10 I was wide awake.

I also use tart cherry extract, magnesium, and L theanine. L theanine is my secret sauce.
