Morning all. Just done my 4th shot of grey 60 with Mounjaro pen. But the gray shots I’m doing with BD micro-fine plus 30mm 30g 8mm first into vial to withdraw then into me!! But I’m having difficulty getting it into skin doesn’t want to go does eventually but that’s with a bit off hard pushing and it’s slightly painful but no bruising. What am I doing wrong? Photo of needles attached

Change area, I have some areas, generally lower stomach area which are more difficult to get into, but for example love handles has no resistance

Haha have tried different areas all the same!! Never happened with Mounjaro pens or the needles I used for getting 5th dose out

A slow needle is a painful needle. If the needle is resting on your skin while you contemplate it not going in you’re not jabbing. Move quickly and deliberately for better results.

It's not you, it's the needles.

The one time I bought a box of BD needles, they were the dullest needles I have ever encountered, and I'm a nurse. It was difficult to puncture my skin, like you described, and they had burrs, which would make them catch as I was pushing them the rest of the way in.

I'd you can get a reusable pen, the needles are very sharp, because they don't get dull from puncturing the vial first.

I've noticed a big difference between placing the needle on the skin and trying to get it to go in vs holding it a bit off and jabbing it in like a dart, the latter being MUCH more effective, for me at least.

Knew it wasn’t me I’ve got different types and never had this problem before. I’ve got pens so will start using them

I also had this problem when I first started out and I was pinching the fat while trying to twist the needle in. Now I find a fatty area and try to spread the area so it's flat a d find the needle goes in much easier. I do move to another spot nearby if I feel any pain when pushing on the needle. Hope this helps.

Interesting. The BD's I got a couple months ago are as sharp as the Easy Touch. All 31g 8mm.

The owen mumford autoject 2 is nice too.

For people who don't know, it's spring loaded, you just put the syringe in and and push a button and then it injects the syringe and fluid automatically with the correct amount of pressure and speed. And you can set how deep you want the injection to be.

Most of the time you don't really feel it, in the worst case just a little pressure feeling but never any stinging sensation (I always do thigh, not stomache; and using Braun fixed needle 8mm 30g)

I've seen one or two other people say they're the best. So, maybe it's just hit or miss.
Who knows. I saw someone mention a off-brand name on Amazon was sharp. The 30 I bought to try were like injecting with a kitchen syringe for meat. I know I will use these things for venting refilling after filtering. Obviously pulling the plunger.

Looks like a great device if you really hate or even fear needles. If not, it would be unnecessary complicated. I recently switched to pens for my dailies under 50 units and I love the simplicity.

This only works for pens, I think, and maybe not for anyone but me. But I've noticed lately that I've gotten in the habit with my (v1) pens that I don't push or poke or jab or anything; I just let the pen rest in my hand without even my fingers wrapped around it, just my hand curled around it so it doesn't roll. Then put the needle against my skin, and just letting the pen rest on my palm, move my palm the 0.8cmish to put the needle in.

Found that no matter where I pin, if I do that, I don't feel the needle at all. Haven't tried that on my butt, because I'm not sure I can get that angle right, but lower abdomen, love handle, anywhere on my stomach there's just nothing.

I highly suggest transferring the vial contents, while filtering them, into a sterile vial with

a self healing cap. The caps are thinner and designed for many uses, as opposed to the ones the peptides come in which are made of denser rubber.

a 31G needle can easily puncture the self healing caps and your skin.

or better yet into a sterile cartridge of an insulin pen. Pen needles work well, and dont have to puncture anything else first.

I have noticed that since losing a lot of belly fat, my skin there has become almost rubbery.

I use topical lidocaine and poke around to find a good spot.( I am a sensitive pain avoider.)

Excellent timing on this thread. I was just looking around for advice on the same topic. I don’t know if it is the needles, the GHK-cu, or something else but my skin seems to not want to let needles through anymore. Even pinching, the skin gets pushed down by the needle point.

I’ve been prepping a wider area and poking around a little for a good spot lately. But I am going to try a slight jab instead to see if that works better.

Might also see about moving from 30g to 31g, but putting 20 units through the 30g is already so slow.
