I have an upper respiratory infection which I was prescribed antibiotics and steroids for (just prednisone lol). I’m supposed to be pin Reta tonight. Anybody run into issues pinning with an illness?

Assuming the shots aren't particularly taxing, I'd pin away and put some extra effort towards hydration.

Im coming through the end of a cold and pinned my tirz as normal. Even when I took prescription mounjaro I did the same, even when ill, id jab as normal. Unless it was a stomach bug just in case the gastro effects of the tirz made it worse.

I think that makes a lot of sense. It’s just my second week and I’m really eager to keep this rolling.

Yea, I think that would definitely prolong or exacerbate a stomach bug. I

I would still pin, if it's been filtered and tested. If not, at your own risk.

I was sick a few weeks ago, with I don’t even know what, I had extreme fatigue and nausea, but decided to continue pinning my usual things. I don’t think it affected anything

There has been a lot of short-term illnesses floating around in my area and I have been sick more so far this year than I was in the last three years combined. Each time I have been ill, I have held off until I was feeling better. I think it is a matter of personal preference. I have had to stay on top of hydration (my desire to drink is blunted) without the added fluid needs of illness.

I recently had quite severe gastroenteritis and postponed my Reta injection for four days, which was the best thing I could have done. If you have a fever, I would wait a few days to allow your body to recover. You can also drink more fluids and increase your calorie intake slightly; your body will thank you for it. You'll have time to tighten your diet later.

I skipped the GLP last time I caught the flu with fever to try to stomach and eat more food and liquid. An aside, I pinned KPV to see if it would help and felt like my symptoms got more manageable.

Excellent point. I have pinned when sick but haven’t had a stomach bug in awhile and if I do in future, your advice seems logical. 🙏
