Hey everyone,

I’m new to peptides and just starting to look into things like GLP-1s. Still very much in the research phase and trying to wrap my head around how everything works.

One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of places seem to only accept Bitcoin/crypto, which honestly makes me a bit hesitant. I’m not sure what’s normal in this space vs what I should be cautious about.

Would really appreciate some guidance on:

How to safely get started with peptides

What to look for (or avoid) when choosing a supplier

Any beginner tips you wish you knew starting out

Not looking to rush into anything, just want to learn and do things the right way.

Thanks in advance 🙏

What I did while on name brand while preparing my grey transition:

Read, Read , Read. Not only anecdotal info from fellow researchers, but published academia/studies. For me, academia assisted with knowledge of how certain items react in the body, etc. This is bc some have great benefits, but also contribute to other system processes that may not be conducive to some, based on ones comorbid issues.

• Join a few platforms to ascertain which has usefulness for you.

• Know your own tolerance for risk since this is research. No guarantees, even in the best circumstances available in grey.

*Peptide recon calculator/ reverse calc. Become knowledgeable of dose, mg, mcg, desired pin.

*Appropriately procured supplies

• Review your vendor choices carefully & 3rd party testing.

• Use the search function on platforms. Chances are you'll find what you're looking for.

This is just my progression since 2024. It was important for me to not need handholding for what I could research when I transitioned. Knowledge leads to increased autonomy and confidence in ones choices.

As what janedoes said, Read, Read, Read.... and more reading. I am in the same situation as you but in the past few weeks being here I have read a lot and gained good information. Use the search feature at the top. Everything you can think of has most likely been discussed on this site.

As for finding a vendor, there are many on this site just read through the Vendor Reviews and some do take Paypal, Alipay and Alibaba. I made my first order Sunday night and already got noticed that it was shipped. There are some guides on here about buying crypto for first timers.

Welcome aboard and don't hesitate to ask questions.

You need to hunker down for a few weeks and read 100s of threads on this site, that's a great way to get virtually all your questions answered.

You can find vendors who take other forms of $$. No clue what y'all have over there. I need to learn crypto too. A few places I want to buy from, only take that.

What Janedoe mentioned is the most common-sense reply someone could take on board.

I am new to this space myself, only about a month in. When you are ready to switch over, what I would recommend is;

Read, read, read, -research. That will probably give more questions that need answering, so read, read, read and research again. I found that when I jumped on Telegram, discord or wherever it may be, reading the general chats and FAQ's gave me more stuff to think about and needed answering.

Most of the time the best research is the stuff you do yourself to an extent. This is so individualized, what works for one might not work for you.

Don't get to overwhelmed, stick to your game plan. If you have decided on something, stick with that. I found this to be a slippery slope that takes you down a rabbit hole pretty quick and it can get overwhelming. I started looking at Reta for my subjects, then found a whole new world of potential benefits. With that came a few more things to take in to account. Finances, anxiety levels at times and so on.

Try to have majority of stuff ready before you decide to jump in. Have crypto sorted, filtering supplies if that is what you choose, dosages, equipment and choice of vendor especially. I left some of this to the last minute and now sitting waiting for stuff to arrive, and it does get a little frustrating. Most of my stuff has to come from overseas as we have bugger all local, so it stretches everything out.

Vendors, when the time comes, do your research, double, triple, and quadruple check. It is so easy to get ripped off and there are so many scammers that are happy to rip you sideways. Go with your gut feeling, if it doesn't feel right, or seems too good to be true, chances are you are on the right path. It is quite daunting and nail biting. The catch 22 situation is doing a small test order, so if it goes south, it doesn't hurt as much. On that though, if everything works, then you may have to go through it again. But I would still suggest testing the waters.

Most of it is already highlighted above, but some of this was what I found as a complete newbie to the space. It is quite easy to lose yourself a little.

I'm not sure if this helps at all, this is just a few things I experienced stepping in.

Good news is, you are here with a boat load of information at your finger tips. So you are definately on the right track already.

Study ip on crypto, it’s not hard but the fees will hurt you if you’re not paying attention. Also decide if 3p testing is important to you and your risk tolerance, if it is find a vendor that has an active testing community- there are several on this site.

Two things that are good to know is that a lot of Crypto platforms might hold your funds for a week before letting you use it (plus various other annoying new user restrictions like not being able to transfer money using your debit card) so order well ahead of when you need it. And send a small amount first to the vendor to make sure you're using the right network. Sending crypto is like sending a fax. Once you hit send it's gone with no way to get it back, even if you sent it to the wrong address.

Accept the fact that these are drug deals from a drug dealer on the other side of the planet who has little in common with you culturally. If you do enough drug deals you will win some and you will lose some. Crypto is not as hard as you think. Anyone who messages you first is a scammer.

ANYONE WHO MESSAGES YOU FIRST IS A SCAMMER.

There, I fixed it for you. That's rule #1 and it deserves to be in all caps.😉 That's goes for any Discord channel, Telegram group , Whatsapp or even any forum. "How is your health?" Or "Would you like the pricelist?" Block them immediately.

Another rule is: Any vendor or vendor shipper that asks for additional funds for customs or shipping issues is an indication that you’re being scammed, and you’ve very likely lost any money you’ve spent to that point. DO NOT SEND MORE MONEY.

One more: When provided with a vendor's contact info, always check that the person you are communicating with matches the vendor profile exactly. Scammers will slightly alter the vendor user name with a dot, or dash, or extra character, to pose as the real vendor. Look at the full profile and make sure they're exactly the same.

Take some time to review and figure out the layout of this site.

Click on the tabs on top and review all the different sub forums -- Announcements & Introductions, General Discussions, GLP-1 Medications ... Spend some time reading the guides and threads on the Crypto Corner. Get acquainted with some of the wacky characters here ;-)

Use the search bar, over and over. Educate yourself before rushing into buying anything. Welcome.

Somehow the 9 people who posted before me forgot rule #1. You're welcome. Fuck all caps

I remember when I started my research. I ended up with a list of about 20 different peptides and what they were allegedly good for. The peptide rabbit hole is deep.

When you get started it seems like some of these peptides are a holy grail that will be all things to all people. None of them are. The ones that do anything won’t work for everyone or necessarily have results you’ll be able to perceive. So, start by asking yourself what one narrow goal is and let that goal guide your reading and research. You can always expand later, but get really knowledgeable about what you will actually inject before you start injecting.

I still have that original list and through further reading have slowly crossed things out as either not actually working or not being good to try in combination with other stuff that is moving the needle.

Also, don’t start using peptides until you are really comfortable in your understanding of reconstitution and dosing protocols. The number of “I was on the floor puking” and “I had to go to the hospital” posts I’ve seen lately on other sites because people weren’t 100% sure what dose they were drawing makes it little wonder why the FDA is a bunch of control freaks, forcing even simple medications behind the counter. People are idiots.

As all the other guys have said on here. I was in the same boat when I joined and I'm still yet to order anything. BUT I have much more confidence when i do. Read the threads, search the forum for any answers to questions you may have. Look at reconstitution guides and peptide calculators to understand dosing.

with regard to suppliers as you're new you can only chat in a couple of places but make them count, jump in on the vendor reviews, to be honest from what I've seen is everyone will have a slightly different experience even with the vendors, so it seems there isn't a universal 'stand out' few suppliers. Just join a few telegram groups of vendors and see what the group looks like

Bitcoin is easy, just imagine it as foreign currency, you need to purchase it through and exchange and then send it to their wallet. Bitcoin is the only way you will get to purchase through here. theres a crypto corner thread to better explain that bit too.

Hope you gain the knowledge you need and if I can be of any help then give me a shout

Not placed the order yet brother ?

I grew a pair and placed mine risked a big one Fingers crossed all goes to plan

Let her rip!

In all seriousness, all of the comments on here are awesome. All very sound advice.

Start with a vendor that has a large community, many reviews, ie a good reputation. It’s not an absolute guarantee but it’s a good indicator.

Crypto seems complicated till you just get in and experience it. Once you do you’ll find the learning curve isn’t that bad. Before you know it you’ll be buying usdt on sol, transferring it to a wallet, paying a vendor and sending transaction id’s and screenshots as proof of pmt.

This community is gold! Be thankful you have found it. Utilize the resources here.

COA’s are a nice false sense of security. If you want actual test results, join a group buy or send a vial yourself. This is why sticking with a vendor with a large following has another benefit. There’s either a group buy to get in on or someone has tested the batch you may have purchased.

Don’t suffer from analysis paralysis. Do you due diligence and then go. As long as you stick to the main path in the beginning you will be fine.

Filtering is a thing and to each their own.

I have filtered, I haven’t and the jury is still out for me.

Have a goal and research what peptides you can utilize as tools to assist in getting to that goal. This will help with not wasting money and time.

And the number one rule!!! No exceptions

No vendor/person that is legit will ever contact you first. Ever! Anyone that contacts you first trying to sell you ANYTHING is hunting and should be blocked.

Welcome down the rabbit hole.

I wish you success on your peptide journey

First order I did I was super cautious. I read and re-read threads here. I decided I needed to be careful so I used a seller that has a website and does some pre-sales at high but not as high as med spa prices. If you want to know the website DM me and I'll tell you. That went smoothly.

Next order was thru a forum vendor that takes alibaba payments. Cheaper than the first but higher than some of the crypto only sellers. That also went smoothly.

I already had crypto experience so it wasn't using crypto that was the problem. I was just cautious about sending money that can't be tracked or retrieved.

Now I'm fully on board with the wild west aspects. Stay with vendors that others use regularly. If anything doesn't seem right then don't send money. Expect that at some point you're gonna lose some money.

ANYONE WHO MESSAGES YOU FIRST IS A SCAMMER

Ditto what others have said,,,,READ, search, ask questions, READ some more, start by reading "Introduce Yourself" thread if you haven't already. And bone up on tiny measurements of milliliters and milligrams and know how decimal places work. Study reconstitution and dosing guides and watch a Gajillion, well maybe half a Gajillion you tube videos. It's all out there waiting for you to discover...Hold on to yer money till you got a good grasp on the basics... Good Luck

Reading also applies when you land upon a vender discord, telegram, etc. Almost any question you have has probably been asked at least 5 times on any given day. Scroll backwards, use search.
