First off, let me preface by stating that I am very scared of needles, can’t even prick my finger.

With that being said I was on Mounjaro for about 8 months and had some pens left over which I’ve used to split into mini doses, I did all my research and bit the bullet settled for an automatic pen that has a very similar mechanism to the Mounjaro pen that I can use with any type of fixed needle syringe.

The first time I tried it all was well and medication was painless and the pen worked like a charm, second shot was today and I got distracted , accidentally moved the calibration so when I took the shot it was painful and it created a bubble pocket on my skin which I stupidly rubbed !

Google said don’t rub and now I’m kind of freaked out!

Please help just by giving me your thought and input or similar experience you’ve all had as a newbie!

Please and thank you!

I feel like such a noob!

I'm not sure what "moved the calibration" means but I don't think you're in serious danger.

Does it mean that the needle didn't go as deep as you meant it to? In which case the bubble is fluid that is below the epidermis but not in the subcutaneous tissue. I'd leave it alone. Some will probably leak out and most will get absorbed.

Oh. Not a pen at all. A syringe auto injector. I’m not familiar. With a regular pen they do have needles that don’t show, supposedly.

I used to be needlephobic but I’ve gotten over it. I hope someone has the answer for you.

Do you like to pin now? I had nightmares after my first time but kinda enjoy it now.
I can’t say I enjoy it, but it doesn’t bother me anymore. It used to take me 45 minutes to work up the nerve to break the skin. Now I just poke and shoot !
