Hello my fellow glp1 friends 😁 My wife and I started 2 weeks ago with Reta & Mots-C. We started at 1mg Reta and 1mg of Mots-c x 5 day a week. On the first day of jab with Reta my wife fells a little nausea with some extra trips to the restroom. I feel fine and it’s suppressing our appetite for the majority of the week but the last few days we start to get more hungry. We have been eating a good amount of protein one way or another. Around .75g per body weight. I lost a total of 10 pounds (8 in first week.) my wife lost a total of 8lbs. We definitely are eating more healthy and not eating much food as before. Going for walks and occasional working out. So I wonder it the loss is from the Reta or due to the lifestyle changes. I think I will go to 2mg this coming week and the wife to 1.5mg. We ordered some SS-31 from here but are still waiting to get it. We want to order NAD+ and the wife wants some GHK-Cu. If anyone has advice or wants more information about our experience please ask/comment. We are definitely newbies to this but appreciate all advice/experiences you may have went through.

My advice is to slow down a bit and stick to 4 week titration so you don’t build tolerance quickly and flood your receptors. The loss will be a combination of peps and lifestyle but remember you are training your mind as well as your body . Slow and steady wins the race and gives better long term chances of keeping the weight off .

I know once you have a vendor that you trust you want to try everything but then when you have a stall it’s tough to work out what to tweak / increase/ cycle off.

As @mongchopz says, I would recommend to be more patient and do not boost the dose too fast. Losing weight is a marathon not a sprint. Especially you've started with 2 powerful peptides. Staying 4 weeks on a particular dose is imo the best way. You do it right with changing diet, and having everyday activity...it is tempting and we would like to lose weight as fast as possible, but believe me it is not the way. I've lost 42kg only by the diet and activity and it has taken me 16 months. Now when started reta recently it is going much easier and faster, so my temptations are muted due to the previous weight losing experience...just give it a time and stay on the lowest dose, as possible. It will payback 100%.

Reta takes about 24 hours to be absorbed after a dose , has a half life of 6 days. So 6 days after a dose blood levels will be half the peak level. This means that the amount in your system will build up over about 4 weeks at the same dose. So even if you do not increase the dose there will be more in your system the next week. I highly recommend GLPplotter a free website that will show you a graph of what different doses do over time, it makes it easier to understand.

The risk with increasing doses faster than every 4 weeks is worse side effects, the most common ones by far are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or constipation. The faster you increase the dose the higher the chances of unpleasant side effects, and because it has a half life of 6 days, they might last a day or 2 but they might last a week or more.

Generally increasing doses slowly is a good idea , and only increasing them every 4 weeks is a good idea, but as you only started with 1mg and the standard drug company advice for reta is to start with 2mg, going up to 2mg straight away is reasonably safe, but you are more likely to get side effects than if you wait longer to increase doses. In the end most people will get some side effects, often they are worst about 2-4 months after starting at doses of 4-8mg and often but not always slowly get better after that.

The other thing is protein intake. you mention 0.75g/kg which is fine for most people most of the time. There is good evidence that people lose less muscle during weight loss at higher protein intakes than that ideally 1.5g/kg/day.

I also would wait on adding in other peptides , it will be impossible to work out which one is the cause of side effects if you start a whole pile of them around the same time, and to fix it you would have to stop all of them. At least 1 or preferably 2 months apart.

Thank you … This will be our 4th week so I’ll stay at the 1mg 👍 I misspoke in my original post. I definitely can feel the hunger coming back at the end of the week. Not horrible but the cravings are noticeable.

Thank you … that is awesome you lost so much! I’m retired now and had a spinal fusion in 2012. That is how I ended up gaining a bunch of extra weight. It’s hard for me to be active or to exercise like I used to but I am trying to push myself without over doing it. I’m excited to get back to a part of the old me. 👍 We will stay just on the Reta and mots-c for a few more weeks but I definitely want to add the SS-31 and NAD+ down the road. I picked up two bottles of Reta from a US website that an YouTuber recommended and they were expensive. So I found some names on Reddit and took a chance and picked up a Reta and Mots-c kits. They were solid and professional but charged a little more than the other ones I spoke to on telegram. So I found this forum and ordered SS-31 and more Reta from a vendor on here and that was nerve racking for sure because you don’t know who to trust. So I went by reviews. They gave me a tracking number a few days after and I still haven’t gotten it. I did search the tracking number on the USPS website as well and there is a package with the same tracking number that was mailed out in the same day as mine but it’s in another state. I’m starting to feel like they scammed us. I would like to post this information on the reviews but I’m not sure what I have to do to be able to post in that section. Very disappointing but I hope it was just an mixup.

Hello,

So today is May 22nd and here is an update. Over the last few weeks we have been busy.

The Goods:

I made an order with my second grey vendor on April 13th but it was sent to Akron, Ohio but I live in Florida 😠 They put the wrong zip code on the package for some reason. They finally resent my stuff (May 15th-SS31/Mots/Reta) and I hope to get it next week🤞 I also tried a 3rd vendor because of the 2nd vendors debacle. I seen a few members speak about the 3rd so I gave it a shot and that order (May 5th - GHKCU/Mots/NAD+/SS31) will be here today actually 👍 If all is good with this order I’ll do one more order to get the rest of the things we want to try (Tesa/Ipa/BPC/TB/KPV/SNAP/ and more Reta just in case they really crack down soon.

The Effort:

So over the last few weeks I did some research on different dumbbells and a weight bench. We don’t have a lot of extra space at the moment so I was originally thinking of buy some sort of all in one adjustable dumbbell that can change from various weights. My thinking was to save space and convenience. I ended up buying the BowFlex results series selectTech dumbbells 552’s. Then like 2 hours later I was still looking up reviews on them and noticed they had a recall a while back …. So I cancelled that order and just went with some straight forward dumbbells. I bought a set of hex rubber 5lbs to 50lbs. Actually a good deal for a 500lbs set for under 1 a pound. I had to buy the rack separately but they look and feel great. Now for the bench… I didn’t want to go cheap but I’m not loaded either 🤣 So I went with a REP Nighthawk with the added leg bar. Again we don’t have a lot of free space but the weights and bench fit perfectly. I also picked up a few 3.5ft x 6ft stall mats from The Home Depot for the 500lbs and bench 👍 I added plastic sheets under them so the carpet doesn’t get screwed up. This is all temp until we can move. I also have a nice Nordictrack X24 bike for some cardio since my back and knees are bad.

In closing:

So since my last we have been busy trying to get back in shape. Starting with the Reta and getting motivated because of it has helped so much. I have lost a little over 20lbs since April 12th. The wife has around 13lbs as well. She does the treadmill mostly. Our diet has been great.. high protein lower carbs and no sugar. Things are moving in the right direction… we are excited.

I'd also like to add something here.

Try not to freak out and up your dose when the weight loss starts to slow or stop. Reta should be treated as a tool, not a cure. If you keep putting in the work to diet and exercise, reta will help you get there more effectively than without it.

In the first month, many people report losing a lot of weight quickly as their inflammation dramatically decreases. I lost a little over 15 pounds in my first month.

After that, my weight loss slowed because I was strength training and eating well enough to lose fat but keep/build muscle. I've been losing 5-10 pounds per month after that first month. There've been several days where my weight will go up or even a whole week where it won't move at all. I kept on course and trusted the system I built (while freaking out a little internally), and the weight started to come off again.

I totally get it … One week I lost nothing and actually gained a few back. I think it’s because we ate some movie popcorn. None the less … I totally understand it’s a long haul and it works better when you put in the work 💪 I appreciate your insight. Now for my wife on the other hand … she wants more now 🤣 I have to remember her that 13 pounds a month is solid and if you lose it to fast you might have a little flappy skin. She started at 156 I think and I started at 244. I have always been an athlete growing up but now at 54 I feel about as non-athletic as you can get 🤣 Mind you I have had a spinal fusion as well but I want to get back to feeling somewhat athletic again. We are definitely excited and have made lifestyle changes that seem to work thus far.

All I could think about when reading the OP was slow down. My head is spinning. We are on Tirzep and have been in it about 8 weeks. We want to add a few peps but are being extremely patient. I would urge you to do the same.
