I want to drop 30lbs to go from 196lbs (88 kilo) to 175lbs (79 kilo). I’m 5’ 10” and have a pear shaped waist. I’m not super active and sit at a desk most of the day.

I have some residual muscle from working out 10 years ago.

I have researched quite a bit and feel that Reta is the way to go. I am concerned about losing too much weight too quickly and plan to ramp up very slowly to alleviate potential GI issues. My main concern is losing muscle mass, are there any things you would stack this with based on my goals and status?

I also plan to start ghk-cu to help with thinning hair and sun damaged skin. What’s the consensus on doing Reta and GHK-cu?

I’m open to any recommendations

Many do both me being one of them.

Eat plenty of protein (meat, eggs, bars, and powder) and do some strength training. Take a multi vitamin and electrolytes. This should get you where you want to be.

Look at tesamorelin.

Amen. Tesa is 🔥

2 mg Monday - Friday before bed. Rest and reset Sat/Sun. Do that for 26 weeks. Visceral fat melts away and some SubQ abdominal goes as well.

Hi protein, Reta , and body weight exercises such as sit ups , start with only a few , even 1 or two , and gradually increase over time . Could then move on to push ups and perhaps, under table pull ups .

In 6 months you be a new person 🙂 that pear will turn upside down 🙂

Curious - you’re recommending Tres over Reta? Why? Thanks
I am close age to you - 52 male. Started Reta Dec 1st and as of today I am 35lbs lighter (210lb -> 175lb). I started 0.5mg for two weeks, then went to 1mg twice a week for 3 weeks (so 2mg per week), and continued going up 1mg every two weeks and now at 5mg. Planning to start titrating down slowly since I hit my target weight. In addition I did KLOW daily since I have some inflammation issues. I also introduced Tesamorelin (which is what people mentioned above, not Tirzepatide) because it targets visceral fat and it helped with sleep/recovery for me.

My recent blood tests came back perfect and I feel much better. I definitely lost muscle as well because I was not consistent with exercise and my exercise was mostly walking the dog and treadmill. Now that I hit my weight goal I am switching to re-gaining muscle back and will be adding weights at least 3 times per week to start with.

Be patient and give it time. My weight didn't start moving until 5-6 weeks in. Good luck.

You're on the right track. Start slow and be patient. I would suggest GLOW or KLOW instead of just GHK-Cu.

Also. You're going to lose muscle if you don't workout. You have to work out and eat protein. I lost muscle trying to lose 30 lbs like you and I go to the gym all the time. You must eat protein and workout. I believe the reta will burn some of the carbs you eat but you're gonna lose muscle.

You'll still be healthier, most likely.

Nice to see other men in the 50s group. Good luck.

Yes don't forget about building your muscles up.

Facebook marketplace is flooded with exercise equipment. Everyone is spring cleaning.

I just bought a set of weights and bench press with leg attachment for $100

I'm not recommending tesa OVER tirz or reta. Stack it. Tesa focuses solely on VAT and does a great job of it while the user ALSO develops a healthy exercise routine and other healthy lifestyle choices.

Got it, sorry for the mistake. Thank you!

Reta only, my story. I'm 66 years old. I weighed 215 and a target of 170-175. I started gaining from about 185 to that 215 after I retired. Started early January with 2mg for 4 week, then 4mg/4weeks and just started 5mg last Friday. 2.5lbs/weeks loss average and down 25lbs. As mentioned protein, meats, powders, fresh veggies, but watch which ones. Do smaller portions and watch carbs. I'm actually getting some lighter weights tomorrow to see if I can regain some strength. It's not hard, Good Luck.

The desk jobs combined with chronic stress from that kind of work are killing everyone who does it. I used to think blue collar folks traded their health for money but the reality is that we do. As men, excess weight turns our testosterone into estrogen at a faster rate than normal and a pear shape can be a sign of high estrogen.

Losing weight will help everything but I encourage you to try exercise too. It’s what we are built for and the benefits will show up I your mental health, hormones and aesthetics.

You're 55 and sit at a desk. I would invite you to use more than just GHK-cu since you'll be on a cut and working out with connective tissue that might not have been really well treated (it wasn't). Some

would be really good just to make sure nothing stops you from working out. I've personally been on 2mg for a month now and I don't see a reason to increase my dose yet. I already lost 5lbs and probably have shed a little more since my last water purge. If you're all in on this peptide thing I hear a lot of good things about tesa or cjc/ipa for visceral fat. Since you're pear shaped my intuition is that you have a lot of it, but feel free to check this out to test it for yourself: https://www.lih.lu/en/visceral-fat-calculator/. Youtube told me that this calculator was as good as an mri to check visceral fat.
