No dear.

For many people starting at 2.5 causes severe side effects, nausea, gastric distress etc. I started on .5 and yes I do mean .5. The plan was to try micro dosing. Which worked, btw and I titrated up with small increments. I eventually got up to 2mg after many months and then added Reta, in the same way.

My max on either never went above 3mg each, less than 6 total. I know people who never went above 4mg on Tirze and lost all the weight they wanted to.

I lost 29% of my body weight.

my two cents
I am not disputing your success at such low doses , but only a relatively small percentage of the population is going to respond anywhere near that well to such low doses, maybe 5-10% are super responders. 6mg of reta / tirz causing 29% weight loss is way more than average.

The start doses were chosen for a reason, fairly low odds of substantial side effects, without dragging out the start up time by an extra 3-4 months, which is how long it would take to get to 2.5mg if starting at 0.5 and going up 0.5mg every 4 weeks. If everyone did this most people would spend the first 3 or even 6 months getting to a working dose where appetite is suppressed and weight loss starts, and I think that is too long and many would get discouraged by the lack of response. I think it makes more sense to accept a risk of a few percent of unpleasant side effect from starting at 2.5mg, versus waiting months for it to do anything. Any side effects worse than a bit of nausea are not very common at 2.5mg, and if that happens you just drop the dose.

My point was, with at least the first pin start really low, so that in case she is super sensitive or allergic, she won't have a bad reaction.

I also disagree with the once a week schedule. It was arrived at due to participation concerns.. that people hate needles so minimize the shots as much as possible. More frequent lower doses helps avoid unpleasant side effects.

So since I started taking tirz my girlfriend first didn't seem interested in taking it herself but now she's even getting a bit annoying pestering me that she wants to loose weight and try some peptides also. I don't know how to react really. I want to help her lose weight and feel better in her own body but at the same time I'm scared she'll have a bad reaction or something. I'm thinking about giving her a starter dose of tirz. That will most likely happen if she keeps nagging me. Don't know what my question is anymore but maybe someone have been in a situation like this?
In the same situation with my wife, so my risk profile changes a bit. It's one thing for me to pin and pray as I am the only one impacted if something goes wrong, but when I am responsible for someone else my risk tolerance reduces. So I started getting independent testing on the peps that we use so that my conscience is clear and I have minimised any potential harm.

I definitely agree with the more frequent dosing to manage or minimise side effects. I use every second day dosing. The first dose being tiny might reduce the chances of side effects, but an allergic response to the first dose is extremely unlikely, your body needs to be exposed to the drug multiple times to develop an allergic response, so it is likely to happen after weeks or months usually, and almost impossible on the very first dose.

Go for it. When my wife saw my weight loss to get lean she jumped on shortly after.

My wife started with reta a week after I did, but she trusts me to do all the sourcing and mixing for her. She's been doing a lot of her own research since we started, and even started asking me about other peptides as well!

The most persuasive argument you can make doesn't involve words. It is by being an example of success. It is hard to argue with someone's success.

I strongly feel that the worst thing someone could do (not anyone here) is try to force or shame someone into losing weight. Usually you get pushback and resentment. No adult wants to be coerced into doing something. If you want to persuade someone, quietly be a success and they will come to their own conclusions.

Wife said im not taking no chinese shit....till my sister in law said she lost 56lbs from the shit i got her a year ago.
This sounds extremely similar to my house. I told my wife that I was going to start buying it elsewhere vs the US supplier we paid outrageous for 4 vials. She asked where and I mentioned China and had a fit till I proved it all comes from China, likely even the big guys like Lilly possibly get raw there. When heard about the testing, better. All good when the weight was coming off and felt the same.

My wife thought it was crazy that I would purchase Tirz from a 503A compounding pharmacy at the start. Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens is where you get drugs from. When I mentioned I had purchased Reta and showed her a few videos on the benefits, she at least listened. She could see that my plan for weight loss was working.

She recently had a doctor appointment and they said she had elevated cholesterol and the doctor mentioned statins. She commented to me that she would rather take Reta than a statin. She's a normal weight person and we decided to have another blood test in a month or two. Her comment made me smile though.

Im certain vendors like bff and nexaph are tested more than pharma. Bff is tested on stg about 12 times a month.

It’ll be a project. I’ll force the stoppers out with water, get new autoclave bags, place vial and stopper pulled apart but in the same bag, then after sterilization wiggle the stoppers back in while sealed. Next time I’ll just shell out for quality at goodlifesupplies. 🙃
sounds like a LOT of work!

Yes VIP treatment!! She will be happy -> you'll be happy. 😁

UGH...I just ordered 100ct steam sterilized vials from Temu...and of course they arrive UNsterilized. Now I have to find the pressure cooker I got as a wedding gift 10+ years ago, figure out how to use it and autoclave these GD unsterilized cartridges.

Yeah that's insane. I have however not told everyone that I've switched to gray. They think I still do the prescribed. None of their business though. So need to "hide" the supply and accessories.
that was me a week ago trying to figure out how to hide it. I got labels and they look legit!

Our testing is rudimentary compared to pharma. It’s important (and economical) harm reduction stuff rather than rigorous controls. This also misses that a lot of pharma safety is derived from quality control measures throughout the supply chain that are non-existent in gray.

Sure, but remember they found an eyelash in the pharma product recently? Everything i know with state and/or federally mandated testing is on an annual basis. Better than gray, yeah, am i sold, not even close.

I sometimes wonder if the compounding pharmacies do what we do? Like where do the get their raw materials?

I've mentioned this before on this forum. I started Reta at the very end of 2025 and was very hesitant to tell my wife. When I finally did tell her in February of the reasons for doing so (not about weight loss, but metabolic improvements) she said, "Why aren't you injecting me?" If she's interested, your idea of a starter dose is an excellent way of easing into GLP1 therapy. You were interested, why can't she be?

I've never been on anything higher than 1.5mg, whether it's Reta or Tirz. If that makes me a super responder, then label me as such. I couldn't be happier.

No clue but i see it as them receiving and testing 15-20kg of raws before they authorize it. A large u/g steroid dealer buys 5kg at a time which will make product for months.

Facts. That google spreadsheet is loaded with BFF goes back a ways to 2024.
