Ugh I wish my boyfriend was interested in peptides honestly, I hate figuring this all out on my own and want someone to talk about it with. Consider yourself lucky you both will have more in common and share a common goal of health and wellness.
Awwww true true ☺️☺️

So a small update. She really reacted well to her first dose and says she already feels less hungry and eats less. I don't know if that is a placebo effect it real but it doesn't matter if it works. Also I got her to drink lots of water because nobody told me to and my first obesity doctor sure didn't. I still good a grudge to that a**hole. I'm trying to be there as someone who have done what she's going through recently. No real side effects yet. Other than all her friends now also wants on the glp1-train. Looks like I'm going to be the Peptide kingpin in this household 😂

Selank is nice! I feel very chill these days.

Nah dude! Don’t let GF’s friends get you in trouble (I don’t know the laws in Sweden but in the US you don’t wanna be caught distributing)! They can get a nice Word doc with instructions and recommendations, but they’re not as invested in your safety as your GF is.

I think needles are what keeps him at bay (for now...) 😆

He has some health issues I think he could benefit from taking them but he isn't open to it. I can't really complain, though - he supports me 100% and finds it "entertaining" to see me go down the rabbit hole. Maybe one day he will budge, but it's ok if he doesn't.
Yes, my husband thinks I’m amusing with all my peptideness but is a needle-phobe and much more cautious than I am…and doesn’t quite know about the whole gray deal. I mentioned Selank to him and told him there’s a nasal spray, but he told me I’d have to try it first before he would! LOL! I’m fine being the only pep-fiend in the house 😜

Same! I have almost convinced my guy to try some nasal sprays he could benefit from, but not quite!

Yeah a few people on here have been in a similar spot. Once one person starts seeing results it tends to make the other person curious, and sometimes that curiosity turns into pressure pretty fast.

It’s good that you want to support her, but it’s also smart that you’re hesitant. Starting someone else on it (even a low dose) when you’re not a doctor is a bigger deal than it first seems — side effects can hit differently for different people, and if something goes sideways it can get messy fast.

A lot of people in your situation end up having a more serious conversation with their partner about expectations, risks, and whether they’re actually ready instead of just jumping straight into sharing a dose. Some couples decide to go the proper route together (doctor, bloodwork, etc.), others wait until the interest cools off a bit.

You’re not wrong for feeling torn about it. Wanting to help her but also not wanting to be responsible if it doesn’t go well is a pretty normal conflict.
Yes I see your point. And I'm hoping she's in on this the whole way but I can't really involve a doctor other than taking regular blood tests which she already does for different reasons. You need a BMI of 30+ or 27+ and underlying problems to get help with glp1 here. She does not have that high BMI. She's just getting a bit chubby. Maybe overweight I'm not sure. I'm telling here about the side effects and other issues every day in our daily conversations. Like drinking a lot of water. Eating spicy food which is important to here and doesn't seem to be a problem yet. My one concern now is getting her to be more physical. Hey! I know what you're thinking! Stop it! This is not that kind of forum. 😂 Jokes aside she needs to excersise and I've been trying/pestering her about that for a long time. And trying to use myself as a example of what good and hard excersise can lead to. When we met she was the sporty one and I was the slob lying on the sofa eating pizza. How things change. Anyway I think and hope she's in it for the long run but time will tell.

Peptide Enthusiast said:
Yeah that makes sense. Hard when the official route isn’t really an option for her BMI.

Sounds like you’re handling the education part well though. The exercise piece is usually the toughest one to get consistent with, especially if the motivation is still building.

How’s she responding when you bring up training?
Yes for sure. Took me a long time to start training. I only started like 3 months ago so I can't push her too hard. She jokes and says I do excersise going from the sofa to the kitchen. Things like that. I hope her sporty ADHD friend will have better success. She's not lazy that's the thing so she just need to get started like she used to.

Peptide Enthusiast said:
Haha yeah those sofa-to-kitchen jokes are classic. At least she’s still got a sense of humor about it. Sounds like the right approach though! not pushing too hard while she’s still finding her rhythm. Sometimes the friend route works better than the partner route anyway. Has she mentioned anything about wanting to train together, or is she more the solo type?
Yes she's funny. Like me 😂 she's not a solo kind of person but the thing is that I am. I workout alone in my own bubble with my own program for the day but I have invited her half heartedly to my gym and we do have a home gym. And I'm willing to put myself aside and show here the ropes.

haha, you’re basically the peptide ambassador for your household now 😂

If you provide anyone else with peptides and something goes horribly wrong, you could be legally liable. Really, really unlikely, But in terms of more like liability in a relationship sense, given the odds of at least some adverse effects are actually pretty high maybe 50/50, I think it is worth making sure she has at least read a little bit independently about them and side effects in particular, as you do not want to be blamed if something happens - like she gets bad nausea and is puking for days, and you did not warn her such things can happen, and encourage her to do some reading, even just the basic drug company product literature for people starting the drug, as in an ideal world where the legit versions were not so extremely expensive, she would have had advice from her doctor giving the prescription at least, so she at least needs to know that much. Most likely you have already done this, but just in case.

Valid point and yes I believe I have done so and keeps doing so. I've told her the side effects and sent her links to more info and she has shown real interest and searched some herself to. For me the doctor told me almost nothing and asked even less in the follow ups. I have since changed doctor's to one I like and who seems more interested in his patients then the previous one.

I'm not going to help her friends more than with advice and answer questions they might have. I don't want them to get scammed or worse.

Make sure she weighs once a week, so you can track her progress. Even if she doesn't want to disclose the weight, she can tell you if she lost anything.

Just an update. She took her second shot and still feels good. No side effects. She feels less hungry and less thoughts about food. Eats smaller portions and today when we were making dinner she said she smelled the food and are already full. She lost weight as well. Looks like it going very good.

What do you think T100 and R100 are for?
For people who are doing 0.9mg/week to get a 20 year supply with a single kit? Duh.

Tell her that as soon as she's done the peps for a few months, and starts losing weight like crazy, she will wish she had started them earlier

So since I started taking tirz my girlfriend first didn't seem interested in taking it herself but now she's even getting a bit annoying pestering me that she wants to loose weight and try some peptides also. I don't know how to react really. I want to help her lose weight and feel better in her own body but at the same time I'm scared she'll have a bad reaction or something. I'm thinking about giving her a starter dose of tirz. That will most likely happen if she keeps nagging me. Don't know what my question is anymore but maybe someone have been in a situation like this?
I would start with .25 to make sure she wont have a strong reaction and blame you. 😉 move up slowly from there. I responded to .5 Tirz, so no need to waste peptides if you dont need to.

Are we seriously recommending people use 1/10th of the normal starting dose? Why not start them on tirz homeopathy just to be safe? “The vendor bac has a memory of the tirz, and a lil norovirus. This stuff really works!”

2.5mg is a safe and effective starting dose for tirz.

Seems a bit hypocritical to take it yourself but not want her to also do her own research. But thats just my opinion...

I've found that the more you try to stop someone from doing something they want to do, the more likely it is that it will happen, and then some. Be supportive and enjoy the journey together. You'll know she's safe that way at least and if anything goes wrong your there to help in her time of need.
Wife said im not taking no chinese shit....till my sister in law said she lost 56lbs from the shit i got her a year ago.

That's way too low for tirz but yeah she started on the same starting dose as everyone getting prescribed Mounjaro. Maybe you meant 2,5mg?

Yes very safe and effective. I can't remember my journey starting as effective as hers but after I got on 5mg it started. I'm happy for her.

No dear.

For many people starting at 2.5 causes severe side effects, nausea, gastric distress etc. I started on .5 and yes I do mean .5. The plan was to try micro dosing. Which worked, btw and I titrated up with small increments. I eventually got up to 2mg after many months and then added Reta, in the same way.

My max on either never went above 3mg each, less than 6 total. I know people who never went above 4mg on Tirze and lost all the weight they wanted to.

I lost 29% of my body weight.

my two cents

Dear 😂

I did not know that. My bad. Sorry for that. Ignorance is a bliss. What you're describing is an even better solution then lowest dose possible I've read about like the opposite of rushing to the highest dose. Micro dosing tirz. Wow you learn something new every day.
