Well, it has now been 6 months since I took my first 0.25mg dose of Wegovy and I find myself taking stock of how I'm doing. My starting weight was at least 334 lbs. I'm not sure what it was exactly because I had started to avoid the scale. Even as I held the injection pen in my hand I didn't want to know. All I have to go by is what I weighed 2 weeks later. So I'm going with that. I currently weigh 289. About 45 pounds gone in 6 months. Not bad at all. About 25% of what I need to lose in total. Sure, its a slower burn than some others ... but I have also titrated my dosage slower as well. In case anyone is wondering here is my dose progress as I remember it (I should have written it down to be honest)

May - 0.25mg Wegovy per week

June - 0.5mg Wegovy per week

July - 0.5mg Sema per week (switched to grey)

August - 1mg Sema per week

Sept. - 1mg Sema, 1mg Reta per week

Oct. - 1.5mg Sema, 2mg Reta per week

Nov. plan - 1.5mg Sema, 3mg Reta per week (I might up the sema to 2mg, haven't decided just yet)

So how am I feeling? Pretty damned good. I have only had the mildest of side effects throughout the whole process. The pants I wore at the beginning are now falling down. Pants that I previously outgrew now fit. Its easier to get in and out of the bath. It's easier to climb up the stairs. My back doesn't hurt and I have less pain in my knees (combination of taking KLOW and losing weight) I am now considering a gym membership as an addition to my health insurance. Either that or maybe join a gym that has a pool. Its a pity that the gym with a pool isn't on the list with my insurance. Sigh.

I'm looking forward to the next 6 months and hopefully I will lose an additional 45 pounds. (or more!) Thank you to everyone here at GLP1forum for the knowledge and encouragement.

Congratulations!!! I love hearing about all the success on this forum!!

This is the most important part, everything else is secondary and will follow. Fantastic to hear and thank you for sharing your progress and information.

Congratulations!! I can't wait til I start feeling comfortable in my skin again.

Fantastic!!!! Congratulations.

Thank you for listing your testing regimen. I am thinking of making a change. Reading that bit of your post was helpful to me.

I'm excited for you.

That’s quite an accomplishment!!!! I have a lot of respect for your disciplined approach to titration - more people need to follow your example.

Oh, I wouldn't call it discipline really. I just don't want to get sick.

What IS discipline is stopping myself from buying up all kinds of extra peptides and squirrelling them away. I read about something and think "oh, that's interesting .. I could buy a kit of that. It doesn't cost that much." Resisting that is the hard part.

Glad to help. 😀

I think documenting research metrics and progress is one of the more valuable things we can add to this community. Thank you for taking the time to do it.

Wow! Love this for you! Keep at it and make another report in six months, love to read it.

Congratulations great work!

we are on a similar path, but you have gotten farther.

I too started in May, stayed low for months, and just went higher since last month. I've lost almost 30 lbs. and Just like you am finding joy in the things I can fit into again in my closet!!

Fantastic progress! Wishing you continued success in your journey!

My advice: Stop buying peps when you’re confident you’ve got enough of a stash to last quite a while. They’ll still be there when you get the itch to replenish your supply. But you’ll want to save up some cash for all the new clothes you’re gonna want to buy!

Great progress! Thanks for sharing your experience so far!

In case anyone cares I did in fact up the sema to 2mg and today I just upped the reta to 5mg. The sema dose is fine, we'll see how I take the extra reta in the next few days.

This is such good news! So great!

And a tear in my eye, as I remember my mother, and how this would have extended her life. Keep looking ahead, and keep a positive attitude, eh! 👍
