I’ve been reading through a lot of the discussion on whether it’s better to run MOTS-c first vs SLU-PP-322 first, and from what I can tell a lot of the disagreement seems less about biology and more about practicality/finance.

The way I understand it (correct me if I’m wrong):

MOTS-c is more about improving mitochondrial efficiency / metabolic “engine”

SLU-PP-322 is more about increasing substrate utilization / energy throughput

Kind of like fixing the engine vs pressing the gas pedal — both useful, just doing different things, with pros and cons to each.

That said, I’m less interested in which one should be run first and more curious about overlap:

Is there any known issue — mechanistically or practically — with running MOTS-c and SLU-PP-322 at the same time?

Not asking from a vendor or cost angle, just trying to understand if there’s any downside in terms of redundancy, interference, excessive fatigue, appetite issues, etc.

Would appreciate insight from anyone who’s run both or understands the pathways well.

I would only do oral SLUPP. It is only dissolvable in DMSO at 1mg per 0.1mL of DMSO and it is recommended to keep DMSO level <= 5%. The remainder of the oil carriers can be PEG400, PG, etc. Mixing it without first using DMSO has resulted in cloudy suspensions and not clear solutions. And finally, it would need to be filtered using oil-compatible .22 micron PTFE syringe filters. DMSO is not liked by some users and may cause adverse reactions so suggest you do some research and decide for yourself.

Oral SLU is also available in a "Bam15 30mg/Slu 250mcg blend" by one of the Chinese vendors.

Most people argue about SS-31 or MOTS-c first with the similar “fix the engine before you supercharge it” analogy. If you’re looking to fix the engine before stepping on the pedal, SS-31 seems to have a more established safety profile than MOTS-c. (If you’re considering running MOTS-c, it would be worthwhile to read the “Epi Pen Resources” thread.)

Back to your original question, looking at MOTS-c and SLU mechanisms, I don’t see much overlap. You can dig into the details on Neemio.

The most agreed upon approach is SS-31 first then MOTS-c. Not much of an issue on whether you run oral SLU before, after or during a MOTS-c cycle, you can even run all 3 together. Watch Vigorous Steve's mitochondrial deep dives on YT.

Both SLU and MOTS-c will provide tons of energy if dosed correctly but MOTS-c effect is more noticeable, while SLU is subtle in my experience. I haven't run them together yet but wouldn't have an issue stacking them.

Only things I would be careful about is that MOTS-c made gave me hypo symptoms while supplementing with berberine so I had to drop it or my blood glucose would crash. Also, some people get anaphylactic reactions on MOTS-c (usually on higher doses), I dose 1mg per day but most people seem to do 5mg 2x or 3x per week.

Exactly. And ISRs. No thanks.

But SS-31 is low on the scale for immune reactions.

Yep. Thankfully I only got mild ISRs that appeared towards the end of the cycle/vial. Not sure if it was the pep degrading or a buildup of antibodies. I'm guessing the latter.

The endurance I got for cardio was amazing though, even better than SLU for me.

Crap, I bought a kit of SLU-PP-322 not realizing the need for DMSO which I would never think of using. Lesson learned, always buy a single before a kit.
