When I see these young kids doing peptides I really think in my head "WHY?!?!" almost every time....almost. If you are morbidly obese and really of the deep end, I get it since you literally might die otherwise. But man, seeing chubby dudes/women who look like theyre in theyre early 20s stacking their peps deep and doing all kinds of things....I kinda feel bad for them. Cuz they dont need it now imo considering the human body at that age...so what are they gonna do when they get old and really start having deficits/issues that peptides can improve? Cant imagine the peps will hit the same if theyre long time users.
There are sooo many men of wide ranges of ages out there who push peptides. I am only 31, but I am disappointed in older men who should know better than to push these onto kids and younger adults. They are only encouraging men to develop body dysmorphia and lose willpower.

I said it here a few times but I turned to compound GLP1 - and later Zepbound and eventually, grey retatrutide - only after I exhausted every standard option...diet, exercise, thyroid medication, testosterone, orlistat, phentermine, and all of the above. It took self introspection and a compromise in pride to finally try ozempic.

Along with all the dumbass resellers just ordering shit, then reselling at extreme markup without ensuring their buyers are educated enough to understand what they are doing. In the name of quick cash. You are right too… won’t be long till they get a poster child, and will blast his/her face and sob story on every major media outlet.

Sigh. Now my 2 year supply seems insignificant. Back to dumping my paychecks into preparing for the future.
There is this health spa that my gym is pushing that are providing all kinds of grey market drugs including reta....

I have been a part of another niche interest website for 30 years that "could at any minute" be banned, regulated, whatever...Yeah, it could happen, but the chicken littles have been playing the same tune for.....30 years...

God, people are dumb, and confused, and bad at math, and bad at reading, and bad at double checking anything. I know this, it's not like this is new information to me or even something I have the right to be pissed about at this stage of the game. I've made a wonderful living teaching and advocating and insisting and reminding that people are dumb, confused, bad at math, bad at reading, and bad at double checking things. I've said it in a hundred meetings, adding "And if you don't like that, you don't like people. But that doesn't mean you can ignore that just because you don't like it." I own my house because of how dumb people are. I have a dream life because they're dumb. I don't get to get mad at a lady who got told something that sounded funny, asked one question, and then said "OKEY DOKEY" and shot up instead of getting on the internet for ten minutes and doing a little math. The fact that people won't do that is why I have the life I do.

But god even with all that, sometimes I get so tired.

I lol'd hard, but I really was so pissed at Stephen King about that. "Oh, but it's okay that they're going to murder a gift from god, because he conveniently wants to die so you can do the easy thing and your conscience is safe." How convenient, Stephen, you goddamn coward.

Irrespective of the causes of the overdose in the original video, overdoses from grey peptides are actually common. There are quite a few scientific papers on it and reports from poisons information centers etc. Just from this forum I have seen several.
The story was about compounders. That’s the bug up the ass of Eli Lily right now. It has nothing to do with street dealers and their completely illicit market. It’s a shame there is no IQ tested marketplace for gray market customers, but it’s not the topic here.

I suspect that the gray market actually requires a smarter customer, but that isn’t saying much. Grey market is only gray because these are not controlled substances, otherwise it’s no safer than the steroid market which it basically is. Even I, a very stable genius, was pretty reckless on my first purchase(s).

We mostly know the risks. A Hims customer does not.

So her mistake was trusting her healthcare provider instead of managing her own doses.

Got it.

Honestly...yes, it absolutely was. She has a "healthcare provider" on paper and nothing else. Compounding via the telehealths is practically grey with extra steps and (theoretically) better sterility in recon, and anybody who doesn't understand that does not need to be doing it. You do an "intake," they send you meds, some doctor with gambling debts in your state signs a scrip after glancing at your intake (maybe) and some hurried person ships it. They're going to make mistakes and have scandals and be dumb, and this isn't real healthcare; it's a way for people to legally get these meds without taking out a second mortgage.

People thinking that this is real, trustworthy healthcare are risking getting hurt, and the alternative is paying a ridiculous amount of money for brand or local compounders after talking to a real doctor, or "safely" dying from obesity-related causes like a huge number of people do. And that's a shit choice, but that's the world we live in and it's going to get much worse before it gets better.

Am I the only one who remembers when the FDA was going to regulate vitamins? And it was only a couple of years ago they were going to ban NMN, now I can buy it on Amazon, as much as I want.

One thing for sure, they are not going to make peptides go away.

I dont want to berate people but honestly....it astounds me that so many people dont know a basic math let alone a simple dilution. I mean ffs, these peptide websites have calculators just to know how many millilitres of water you need to dilute 10mg of reta to 2.5mg/mL. A simple division!

Would also be shocked at how little these telemed NPs and RNs actually know about what they are prescribing to people.

Before going grey I was sourcing from a medspa where I know the NP and I was educating her on the dosing and different GLPs. They are just slinging meds for profit with a license to protect them, the don't give a damn about you (us). They just use a checklist for red flags and write scripts and get paid.

The whole pharma industry is a ponzi scheme lol
This reminds me ...I used to go to a weight loss clinic called Mediweightloss. These "nurses" were jokes. There was one week I gained 2lb fat according to an impedance reading even though I stayed consistent with diet, and they told me "well if you ate carbs that could happen." I would have had to consume 7000 kcal excess calorie to get 2lb of pure fat lol.

Last time I went to my doctor a while back he told me he wouldn't recommend me to compound bc it's super dangerous without the pens. One of his patients took 80 units of Tz instead of 8 units, "overdosing" on it.

Like ppl really think it's pen or nothing. I was going to bring up you can legitimately get vials from the manufacturer but didn't feel like arguing bc he said he only prescribe the pens. I'm like does he get a cut or what?

It's the same logic w/this hit piece they really want us to believe it's only their way or no way. Plenty of ppl have been using compounded meds w/o major reports of accidental overdosing etc. This can be fixed not just thrown away so everyone gets on the expensive namebrand

I personally am going to wait and see how things go with people researching Eloralintide in the real world before I stock up on too many years of reta. I'd really hate to spend thousands when there are things coming down the pipeline in the future that will most likely be 100x better.
I heard that stuff is expensive and hard to get. One of the GB vendors I deal with is trying to do a GB in July with that stuff.

I think Mochi needs a new label making machine. Maybe the Niimbot D11. I’m pretty sure this is why our vendors in China don’t offer dosing suggestions.

There’s always something new. It’s what keeps us coming back, at least until our dicks start falling off.

I'm in big trouble then because I won't know I've gone too far.

It's almost like they want to keep you uninformed. And like there's some level of loyalty because you don't have knowledge to do it any other way...
That's exactly what it feels like. It's as if they are trying their best to force you to stay with them. Thing is, that's exactly the type of thing that makes me want to go elsewhere. It's my body. I should be informed about what is going in it!
