How much Mots-c is anyone who is on it taking? And, how frequently are you injecting?

Good luck to everyone on their mots c research. Not to discourage but it didn't really move the needle for me.

I was blasting 10mg at a time 3 days a week. No Pip or Isr but also no quantifiable results.

But I didn't do ss31 prior. And also maybe my mitochondria is optimized...but probably not lol

I'm nervous to try again. I bought a kit, and the first vial was the one I busted the filters on, but decided to use anyway, it stung horribly and immediately grew into huge raised welt. I used a cold pack and bendryl cream to calm it down.

Then I went away for two weeks, and when I got back it was cloudy. 🙁

This time I am nervous and will make sure the filtration process is followed carefully.

If Mots stings everyone does it work to do the things that we do for Glow? longer needle,

lidocaine cream etc?? Ive got the mag oil, but that made my skin so slippery I couldnt keep a hold of it to sustain pinch. hahaha. I tried wiping off with an alcohol swab but , still so slippery.

inject in hips, etc?
Tried injecting 2mg MOTSc 0.2ml diluted with 0.1ml bac, in the glutes. That seemed to have done the trick. Will continue researching on optimal sites and dilution.

have you tried pinning the KPV before the mots? wondering if that might help mitigate the sting.

I used a lidocaine cream 15 mins before pinning Klow today and it really helped. Thanks for this info. Now i've got to get some KPV.
My problem was that the MOTS didn't initially hurt, it was hours later or the next day. And it was the itching and huge welt that was the worst. I even added lidocaine to the shot once, didn't help.

I don't see why pinning before wouldn't help too. I've just been doing it this way. I actually pin the Mots, leave the needle in and put in the KPV right next to it and pull both out!

I see.. that makes sense, when I did it the sting was immediate and very painful, turn into welt simultaneously. Bendryl cream and and a frozen gel pack made it calm down and almost disappear.

Thats why I'd pin exactly like you in reverse. I'll definitely pre game with lidocaine cream.

I love the Mots feel, I hate the ISR. Mine is not from PGB and when I started at 2.5mg 3x/week, I got ping pong sized lumps that lasted about 4 days. I had to go down on the dose and am now working back up. It's lessened with time, but still a thing for sure.

How is everyone's progress going? Please do tell 🙏

I've kinda gotten chicken about it and would love feedback.

TIA

ooh, seconded--and several people in this thread mentioned that they were doing the NAD+/SS-31/MOTS-C protocol, and should have moved to the MOTS-Cs by now. I'd love to hear about it, cause I'm still on the SS-31 part.

I need to get some of that.. How does it feel?

I'm trying to wait two full weeks before I call it in a for-certain way, because I'm trying to wait out possible placebo effect, but I feel BETTER. Not as awake as I felt before I started Tirzepatide (end of July), but MUCH more awake than I have been lately. I do it right before work, so I'm awake through the workday, and have been working out again.

5mg MWF morning. Second week. I get a LITTLE itchiness (10-15 minutes?) and slightly red ISR. Nothing that really bothers me much. I can't say it's been detrimental to my 2 hour cardio morning sessions every day.

wow 2 hours, that is impressive. To me at least!

That great news.

yes--I'm really happy so far. I have high hopes for the MOTS-C, because I'm pretty bored of having ANY fatigue. I'd tolerate it for the rest of my life if it came to that, I can breathe when I'm sleeping again, I look and feel hot, and I'm out of my mind with happiness; if that comes with being tired, so be it. But I sure would like a magic shot to cure that.

I posted this elsewhere but it is a mitochondria protocol with info to back up the rationale behind the dosing. I just started week 3.
What happens after week 14?

I’m on the mots-c part of the S-31, mots-c, NAD+ protocol. I have 40mg (4ml saline) in a nasal spray bottle and do two shots up each nostril before I go running every morning. I had the nasal from a previous research study. It seemed to work well and I fully confident that I wouldn’t have a reaction to the injection, so I just kept making more spray and it seems to work as I feel effects. My A1c has fallen significantly and I am able to run a little faster than normal. I am going to have my fasting insulin and fasting glucose levels tested after I finish the protocol, in order to calculate my HOMA-IR (Homeostatic Model Assessment for Insulin Resistance).

I had been looking into doing the NAD+/SS-31/MOTS-C protocol, and have been reading other threads about it, but no one in those threads has mentioned anything about taking Betaine with their NAD+. Not sure if I am allowed to mention a specific website in here, but this is a quote from that site warning about depleting the "methyl pool", and needing to take betaine to prevent serious problems resulting from that depletion:

Nice find. Can't wait to drop the word Homocysteine in a conversation with a NAD+ worshipper.

Anecdotally, I’ve seen some tidbits here and there espousing the pairing of NAD+ with glutathione - glutathione being a very strong antioxidant.

Wife and I love mots as part of our morning/ preworkout stack. We decided to run it in conjunction with our workout plan 4 on / 1 off. I am on 3mg and she is on 2mg for that dosing protocol

I thought it was common knowledge you need to stack TMG (Trimethylglycine/Betaine Anhydrous) or another Methyl donor with NAD. Sounds like it may not be, so keep spreading the word.
