Got some pens off Ali Express I like so far

My issue with these pens is the vials, they are not sterile and not able to be sterilised correctly using a steam autoclave with the bung in situ as the lumen of the vial is protected by the bung. the work around is remove from sterilisation pouch and remove bung, re package in new sterilisation pouch and cycle through an autoclave. Such a shame and a risk that these are not sterile from manufacturer.

I have some BD "Ultra Fine" pen needles. I've had more pain from them vs any others. I've heard their quality has dropped in recent years. Shame. Right now I've moved to Easy Touch and barely have any pain.

Me too for the 8mm. I tried the sample set from Underground supply to be sure and yep easy touch wins.

I just brought the same one, it arrive a week ago but i've been too scared to use it.. plus it's going to be harder to hide in the fridge.. i can pass of a vial as korean skincare but a pen?

An insulated drink cup, is what I use I wrap them in a cloth and keep them in there. totally incognito. You need to make sure it's tall eneough and the cap as well. I just got a cheap one at Target for 7$

Are you using the 32G 4mm for the pen? I am using the 8mm, for KLOW, but I got the verifine 4mm in 32G for the other peps. and it's sometimes painless but often it's not. The syringes I loved were the 31G clever choice comfortEZ, always painless.

They have them in pen needles too. I just need to finish 100 of the others lol.

allthingspeptides does that.. the sterilization with stoppers out in a pouch, then somehow they push them back in while still sealed in the pouch. they sell them in sets of 4.

I can appreciate the concern. I’m not too sure the manufacturing would create much more waste long term. A single use syringe made mostly of plastic probably generates as much cumulative manufacturing waste as an aluminum bodied reusable pen over the pen’s lifespan. Granted, I’ve only been using the three I have for about 4 months, but one is used daily and the other two weekly. They show no signs of wear so I hope to get many more months if not years from them.

I will say that this hobby does generate a surprising amount of waste in general. Especially those of us with daily pins.

Non sequitor post; I couldn't find the thread where the discussion was on difficulty with pushing down the plunger on the V1 pens, so I am updating here.

After replacing the cartridge in my Tirz pen, which previously had been pushing just fine, it is now much harder to depress. I am convinced therefore, that the fault is with the cartridge.

LMK if your results vary.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I don't want people researching threads to come across this and pull the trigger based on my rec, and it's far too late to edit: not a fan of those pens after all. Every single one of them does a weird springback near the end of the plunger push, so they're pretty much all under dosing by a fair but variable amount. I'm going back to my v1's I got at the pep pen, they're bulky but I'm never unsure about my dose.

Gansulin is an automatic pen, where you dial the dose and press a button and it goes. You don't actually inject anything, the pen does it. It can be expensive (AE has em for $115, but US sellers are anywhere from $52-80), but well worth it. The Bird pen is good, it's just made with plastic and the injection mechanism is a little odd, but it's auto too. That one is about $30.

Pens are so good, but there's so much extra waste involved. The vent needle, the plastic from that, the plastic from the cart wrapper, etc. Still, I won't go back to vial and syringe again and wondering if I'm truly at the unit line I need.

Plus, you don't need to worry about the needle dulling because you're sticking it into the vial first, then into you. Pen needles are sharp and go in smooth.

For someone like who has an insane fear of needles, pen needles is painless every single time I pin. Syringe needles on the other hand makes me question my life choice dabbing with peptides

I bought the V2's from AliExpress also. The were very stiff. I googled and it said to max clicks and push the plunger over and over. I did that and now they are all perfect.

Over on Peppys there’s a whole conversation surrounding sterilizing carts with an Instapot. Not sure if it made it over here, but that’s my plan. You can also use a pressure canner I believe if it gets to a certain PSI.

I had initial good experience with these but then a bunch hurt me, I think they are not consistently fine. I toss the bad one a try another, usually much better. urgg

That's where I am; I'm not ready for a hundred dollar pen. The day may come when I've had enough of manual, and I have a burning desire for quality. For right now, I'm just super happy to have my ten-buck pens labelled and set up and ready to go. I never really saw the point of pens til I went to a pen for my klow, and now I'm to a point where I just don't want to mess with a syringe. Just wipe (it), screw on, click click click, wipe (me), jab, push, screw off, go about my business and no air added to my cartridge.

Get a Convipen- just like a gansulin but only $45. There is also a polish version of the bird pen. They are sold by most of the domestic pen vendors

I’ve started to use my pen needle as my vent needle to stop wasting a regular syringe. Then I use that vent pen needle as my first needle for purging the air and injection. No waste.

Quite frustrating they skip the venting.

bubbles for days.. but if you hang on tight you can control it, and not introduce unfiltered air into your peptide. something to consider. Watch peptide test.com for filtering videos
