I was diving into finding the best collagen supplement (powder, liquid) to use in tandem with my GLOW research. Curious about others' experiences.

I dove into this quite a lot. ChatGPT and DeepSeek are helpful in this arena, might be worth deep diving with either platform. I used it to root out overlapping or complementary protocols, any peptides or supplements that may compete for nutrition, absorption, blood serum levels and durations, dose timing, etc.

With GHK-CU though, Chat came up with supplementing with Collagen Type 1 & 3, a multi-vit with (Ca, Mg, D3 and Zn), Vit C, and bamboo-derived silica.

Lab rat (f57) is just over 4-week (I think) on GLOW. Some noticable effects. Fingers used to be thin and boney with pronounced knuckles; They filled out quite a bit and the knuckles looks pretty normal now. Skin on her face seems to have thickened and "puffed" out a bit and has started to move down her jawline and upper part of her neck; another thing is the facial skin appears to have somewhat of a sheen. Fine lines are still there AFAIK and hair density hasn't changed much that I'm aware of.

Keep in mind that the body picks and chooses what needs repair, not the peptide. Peptide just says, "okay let's go", and the body starts with the most damaged. The supplements are there to ensure ample supply of raw material in plasma for collagen production.

She's doing AM subq and supplementing 30-min later. This considers absorption window, bioavailability etc. Apparently subq absorption takes up to 60-min for the peptide signal to peak. Then, when fibroblasts are fully signaled, supplementation is entering the blood stream. With an empty stomach digestion isn't competing with absorption (like breakfast) to provide the raw materials. Start to finish is 60-min before breaking the fast for "maximum overlap of plasma curves". (I had chat model and graph the curves).

I highly disagree. Unless you have a degree in biochem or medicine, it's pretty much impossible to know if what it's telling you is bullshit or not.

If you are still looking here is the final set I ended up with for collagen support. I just started earlier this week so too soon to tell:

1) Undenatured Type II Collagen pill - 40mg evening

2) Collagen peptide powder - 12mg morning in coffee

3) Hyaluranic Acid pill - 2000mg morning

25 grams of collagen peptides per serving. That’s 16x25,000mcg for $25.

Studies show that 15g/day of collagen peptides improved joint conditions in older adults.

Although I don't mind fried pig skin, on a daily basis I use 10-20g Vital Proteins unflavored in my coffee or protein shake. It dissolves well and doesn't leave any bad taste in my mouth. The big 20oz jar on Amazon lasts me a month and is "just" $1.5/oz auto-delivered with Prime. Was a good price last I checked.
