Has anyone had any extreme reactions to peptides? I am in particular worried about cjc/ipa, but I have heard of things happening with other peptides like mots-C. People have described being fine taking them and then randomly having a severe reaction that can sometimes be life threatening.

As I said I am very interested in cjc/IPA reactions but any stories would be helpful. I am planning on taking it but am getting a little scared after hearing a couple stories.

I ended up getting a couple EpiPen’s through Amazon medical for $10 since it can’t hurt to have.

CJC+IPA has a notorious and well documented histamine reaction. I think the odds of going full Anaphylactic are extremely low.

What happens is you get the histamine reaction, start freaking out, and have a full panic attack.

Always start with a micro dose to gauge reaction (for anything), lay down and relax. For those of us on here who have had anxiety and had a full blown panic attack we can sympathize with the fact that you may think you're having a heart attack.

Keep an EpiPen on hand at all times. In Canada any walk-in clinic will give you a Rx for one and if you have benefits they are covered.

Besides, I think every house should have one.

Narcan/Naloxone is free but EpiPens are not. Go figure.

Ok I see. Yeah I was gonna start low and slow. I also would not be surprised if some of the severe reactions are just someone accidentally dosing too much.

I agree every house should have one that’s why I was happy to get one. Whether I need it or someone else.

I am on week 12 of the NADS, MOTSC, SS31, protocol..... Monday I had a pretty good histamine reaction to MOTSC. Never before, vials from the same batch, hospira water. Thankfully I had some injectable diphenhydramine and methylprednisolone on hand.

I think an epipen is a brilliant idea to add to my mix after experiencing that.

Can you describe your symptoms? Also was this a brand new vial or one you had already been using?

CJC/IPA gave me some local histamine that got pretty annoying.

I have been using GHRP-2/Tesa with no sides.

(small burn from Tesa)

Makes me want to switch to Tesa but I already have a kit of cjc/ipa

You can also get nasal epinephrine (neffy) for those who may be hesitant about epipens. I picked up a pack through their telehealth provider before trying Tesa.

Sure 😊. Same vial I had been using. I should also note that I typically get an injection site reaction (ISR) from MOTS-C, but this was immediate and significantly more severe.

Within minutes, I developed hives at the injection site, very red, blistery , and intensely itchy. Shortly after, my palms and the tops of my feet became bright red, started burning, and the itching there became almost unbearable.

Because everything progressed so quickly, I administered diphenhydramine within the first few minutes. Despite that, I then developed a raised rash across my chest and back, along with dizziness and a fever. At that point, I added a steroid injection, used ice packs, and eventually took a cold shower, after which symptoms began to subside.

The itching was by far the worst part.... I’m not sure how much further it would have progressed without the medications, but the severity of the itching alone was maddening.

As bad as it was for me.... It was equally as bad for my hubby watching it unfold. 😬

Then my palms and my feet turned bright red, began burning and became unbearably itchy. This was all really fast so I injected diphenhydramine within the first few minutes. My chest and back then had a raised rash, I felt dizzy and began with a fever. I added the steroid injection, ice packs, eventually a cold shower and everything began to subside.

The itching was the worst part..... Uber intense. No idea if things would have progressed worse had I not used the two drugs, but I think I would have gone insane with the itching intensity bf that... And of course my hubby wouldnt have made it much longer watching it unfold.

Christ, that's terrifying! Glad you're ok. I already have an Epipen but rather not have to use it.

Someone made this chart - I mmunological Risk Level

Epi Pen resources?

Has anyone managed to buy some Epi Pens as a hedge against potential anaphylaxis? If so, what was your process? Is there a go-to telehealth that can issue a scrip?

That is so scary! I am glad everything worked out and it seems like you are not the only one to experience stuff like this. Really puts me off peptides where reactions like this are possible. Thanks for sharing

My Mots-C is on it's way.....

I read about the reactions to it after I ordered it 🙁

However, I would still have ordered it but now I know I can be prepared by having an EpiPen handy. And I will start with 2.5mg and make sure it doesn't go into the blood stream.

Can never be too safe. I think having an EpiPen is the way to go

For everyone with an Epipen...

Please know the peak action is 5-10 minutes after administration. but its active effects typically wear off in 20-30 minutes so you need to treat it as an emergency even after you inject the dose..... even if symptoms improve. Because the medication is short, acting and symptoms of the reaction can return.... And if it's true anaphylaxis.....

Not a extreme reaction, but i got a few yellow spots from bpc+tb at some of the inyection sites (not all), plus it gave me a few DOMS episodes at night for the last few days (like i exercised way too much, which i haven't), strong enough to wake me up. Weird thing is that it started happening on the second week (i'm on week 3), first week was fine other than a mild histamine reaction on day 3-4 (which went away on day 5, i've seen others report on this). I also think my throat feels a bit tighter than usual, but weather has been quite bad so i can't blame it completely on the peps.

As for the causes, I'm guessing the yellow spots could be bruising from me not being good at inyections (never done them myself before), but no idea about the DOMS. Might just lower the dose to see if that's the culprit, because i was definitely seeing some results (less joint discomfort), regardless of the issues. So yeah, even if there are a million success stories i guess there's always a chance of reactions.

That’s interesting. I have heard someone say they didn’t like bpc-tb because it made their body feel stiff. Like they didn’t have the same range of motion. But they also thought it helped them. So idk everything effects everyone different
