So I have some Epithalon on the way, one of a few efforts to try and help my wife start to sleep again- been total garbage for her for the last 3 months.

Planning on starting her @ .5mg SQ and work up to 1mg (perhaps on a subsequent cycle) for 20(ish) days on, 4x/year. Then alternately cycling DISP+CJC+IPA during the “off” cycles.

Does this sound solid? These peps are a new space for me.
I don't know how old your wife is, but a lot of women these days experience perimenopausal symptoms from their mid-late thirties and the first thing they experience is sleep disturbance. If she is around 40 and isn't on HRT, this could be something to look into as well.

Oh for sure. She is 43 and yes has been experiencing perimenopausal symptoms for about 2 years now. While her sleep has been worsening during this time, what it’s been like since starting GLPs was definitely a sudden, dramatic and consistent shift which is why I’m these options for her.

We’re definitely looking into HRT as well, her 2 sisters-in-law are both a couple years older and both on it- chirping in her ear about it. I appreciate the suggestion 😊

I was just reading that one of the best longevity products for women is ... HRT.I saw that recently. (linked)

I cycle it EOD with DSIP. The combo works best for me. Reliably doubles my deep sleep as measured by my Apple watch.

I’m glad to hear it’s on her radar. Progesterone drops first, before estrogen, and many women experience significantly better sleep from oral micronized progesterone alone. Weight loss will throw off an already declining e/p/t - and it’s a well-known fact that even young female bodybuilders go on hrt during aggressive cuts. Hope you find something that works for her.

Yeah one of her SIL gave her some PR pills and an Estradiol Patch to test run.. she hasn’t used either yet.

… what were we talking about? Oh right Epithalon 🤣 kinda went OT here, sorry folks!

Well, whatever gets her to sleep. Epi could be beneficial, but at the end of the day, hormones need to be the foundation. I’ll check back in when I get my epi shipment as I’ve not been on it, yet!

I ordered it this morning, I'm still undecided about the dosage, I will have time to wait

I am 46 struggling with the same. Before considering HRT, I plan too try kisspeptin (which I just received). It is supposed to signal your hypothalamus to produce sex hormones.

It can also bring on changes to your cycle as well. It can shorten your cycle, causing more frequent periods. Just an FYI.

Good to know, thank you! I wonder if cycling it through the month would be ok.

Note to self: Wait until you're in full-on menopause to try kisspeptin

It has been used in fertility clinics to bring on ovulation in those struggling with things like PCOS. I would definitely research a bit more on dosages, etc. Many studies use Kisspeptin-54, instead of the weaker Kisspeptin-10 that we have access too. You could also try making a nasal spray with it (it crosses the blood/brain barrier), which would lesson dosage a bit.

A nasal spray is a great idea since I dread pinning and adding more to the pile is one of the reasons I haven't started yet... thank you!
