Hi all,

Just interested in personal experiences of anyone who is an endurance athlete or training as such that has used Mots-c. I have been reading a lot about it and it sounds great. However, most information on it comes from a lot of sources that either seem to only lift or just overall health benefits.

For some background I am not looking at it for any additional weight loss. I am running about 40 miles per week and cycling close to 100 miles a week and lifting 3 times. I am hoping to add it to enhance these.

Look forward to hearing if it helped anyone with any endurance sports training or racing.

I use it and it helps but I'm a lifter. HOWEVER I know a few marathon dudes who use it and swear by it.

Sadly if you compete in events where they test I was told they test for Mots-c. How do they test for it? Beats me but that's what I have been told.

Dang I wished I got something from it. Was blasting 10mg every day like a psychopath. No pip or Isr..but alsono noticeable results. But everyone is different and it seems most people do get a benefit from it.

Same here MOTS never worked for me.

I was using 5 mg. 3 times a week for about 6 weeks. I did not notice any improvement in my swim times. I do a timed mile (1800 yard) freestyle swim 2 or 3 times a week. There was also no improvement in the shorter timed swims as well. I did notice great cognitive improvements that continued after I stopped it.

Interesting that was the protocol I was planning to try. I suppose its not super expensive to try it and just see. thanks for the info!

Interesting. This is what I want to do. I hear the athletic benefits only hit if you really need mito support

Ordered a couple kits to train for Hyrox, does anyone know if they test for Mots-C?

I’m planning to start MOTS-c soon to help with my Muay Thai and lifting sessions, so I'm curious to see how it affects high-intensity cardio.

That is some serious weekly volume you're putting in. Finding feedback for actual performance and endurance rather than just fat loss is exactly what I’m looking for too. Following this!

Mine was ordered and still in shipping so I have not started yet but I am excited to start it and report back! I think I am going to start with 2.5 mg a day Tues- Thurs- Sun which are my 3 key workouts.

That’s what I am doing for hyrox tomorrow in Singapore .

On it for 3 weeks doesn’t seem to work well for me

How does it not work well? Are you experiencing any discomfort / are you not gaining any benefits from it?

I started with 2.5 mg Yesterday fasted before a 7 mile run.. I dont think I really noticed anything but it was just a normal Z2 run. I am trying another 2.5 tomorrow before an 8 mile run with 4 miles of Tempo in the middle should be a much better test. Not sure if Mots like others need time to build up or if we should be expecting results right away. Or maybe 2.5 is too low.

Some interesting information. I just finished week 3 of 2.5mg 3x a week Tues, Thurs, Sunday.

Tuesday is a normal Z2 medium run 7-9 miles

Thurs is either track or tempo run same distance as Tuesday but obviously harder

Sun is long run day usually just Z2 but long

Below is information from my Sunday long runs for the last 3 weeks Exact same route and almost exact same start time of day. These are not fasted runs and I took the 2.5mg about 45 minutes prior to starting with 100 mg caffeine as I always have done.

Week 1

Week 3

Pretty cool to see my paces increase and my heart rate actually decrease with each week. I am for sure getting more fit and was on that path prior to the Mots-c But I definitely notice a benefit from it while I am running. I am currently running 40~ miles a week.

BRO, I heard you gotta take SS-31 first for like 30ish days to fix your mitochondria, THEN you take MOTS-c for maximum benefits.

How do I know this? I heard it from somewhere... Youtube maybe, or ChatGPT, 👀 🤣 but anyway, do your research and I'm certain that's the reason why you ain't feel nothing.
