Have you tried alternating injection sites, where are you pinning?
Only sites I really think are good are the love handles. Everywhere else I got bad reactions on the skin.

Yeah it sounds like these drugs don't work that well for you. A minority of people in the many trials also respond poorly to them.

You might want to try a different mechanism like stacking the GLP-1 with Qysmia. Plenty of obesity doctor prescribe the combination for people struggling on GLP-1 agonists alone.
Did not know Qysmia. Whats your source for the information?

Qysmia includes the stimulant phentermine, which does work to some degree and some of us have used before GLPs were around. Phentermine typically requires a quick, in-office EKG before being prescribed, but the telehealth providers don't seem to care.

The other ingredient is an anticonvulsant that I never tried:

An obesity specialist is ideal since many primary care providers have relatively little experience or willingness with phentermine.

Nootropics like piracetam may be a theoretical option for some people:

Piracetam attenuates binge eating disorder related symptoms in rats - PubMed

Binge eating disorder (BED) is a stress-related disorder characterized by acute episodes of excessive food intake. Piracetam, a nootropic agent has been reported to show several other neuropharmacological properties. The present study, evaluated the pharmacological effect of piracetam (200 mg/kg...

This could very well be a you problem. The half-life is 14 days, but hopefully you knew that. That should be accounted for when considering aggressive titrations.
How is it going with your Elora research?

Rinse and repeat at this point. Just did 4th shot yesterday @ 1mg. Extremely effective at bridging the gap the last 2 days before weekly Tirz. Do not plan to increase the dosage at this stage. Still no significant side effects at this stage. The thirst I had in the first two weeks has subsided. No additional weight loss from the first two weeks(-2lbs) which is fine considering I am 27 lbs under goal and looking to just maintain. Medication levels are currently 2.6 mg based on the 14-day half-life and are only expected to increase, even on a 1mg dose.

Thanks for asking. Almost forgot this week.

It is a famous obesity drug that was popular pre GLP-1. It usually creates 8-10% weight loss which is almost Semaglutide level so not bad. Works in a completely different mechanism though.

Dr Nadolsky has a youtube video where he goes through all the options for breaking through a GLP-1 plateau and he mentions Qysmia at around 4:50.

Never tried it but you might want to talk to a doctor about that option.

EL just released Phase 1B combination studies for Elora and Tirz. The shocking results show Reta style weight loss in a much shorter period of time, with no plateau. The release of this and the rodent studies indicate to me that Phase II studies are going really well and they are trying to generate some excitement. Here is a link to a good article summarizing the 1b results: https://the-incretins.beehiiv.com/p/eloralintide-tirzepatide-bariatric-surgery-results

Thanks for your response. Nice to know that someone can handel it on a patient and responsible way. There may be exceptions between us who has resistency for GLP-1's. But it looks like we have too many exceptions, which makes me think that too msny people are not patient enough to give it a chance at correct dosages and titrating up too fast. In my opinion, our body can build resistance faster at higher dosages or can stall. Less is more! Keep us updating. I follow.

Really interesting drug. Yesterday I was hungry all the day. Today it hits...I feel nothing and no appetite at all. I pinned on monday and felt something on tuesday, but not wednesday.

I think its now 5 weeks. I think now its just in the background. It helps a bit. On 5mg per week for now. Maybe I will increase next week.

This was my problem with cagri. I seemed to constantly have to up my dose and it only last a couple days.

Thanks for that link , I was not aware any results existed yet for this, and the results are amazing.

Elora 3 mg + TZP 5 mg: Weight loss -17.0%

confirms my guess that low dose elora plus low dose reta or tirz might work really well with low side effect rates ( presumed )

Elora 9 mg (3 mg start) + TZP 15 mg: Achieved retatrutide like -29.0% reduction in body weight (a treatment difference of -11.2%)

This is the best result ever seen for any GLP as far as I know, only 3 patients so preliminary but only over 32 weeks so almost zero chance this is at plateau, and it shows an added 11.2% weight loss over tirz alone, which while not truly additive might be enough to get a lot of more severely obese people to normal or near normal weights. There is a very good chance there could be an extra 10-15% more weight loss if followed for another 30-40 weeks, as it was already as effective as 72 weeks of 12mg reta. Plus if it was reta instead of tirz there could be an extra 5%, so in theory you might get to 40-45% weight losses over more than a year, and maybe as high as 50% with reta and elora. This could be enough for all but the extremely severe obese with BMI's of 50+, and definitely could rival surgery.

Elora 9 mg (3 mg) + TZP 15 mg (Combo)- Resulted in another retatrutide like weight loss of 25.5% 12/16 completed, 4 dropouts, maybe due to excessively fast weight loss is speculated

Really just confirms the previous result, but with more completed numbers and 25% in 6 months is amazing

These results were in those without severe obesity- Average BMI was low at 32.8 and 30.5, so are likely to be better in those more overweight, and it seems they might need to slow down the dosing increases as it is speculated in the article that weight loss rates could have been excessive causing withdrawls from the study.

I'm currently taking 10 mg of Tirz per week. Before that, I was on Reta at 12 mg per week, but I had bad side effects with it. Things are going better with Tirz.

However, I’m gaining weight again and wanted to switch to Elora instead of Cagri (because it didn’t really work). I’ve been on it for 3 weeks. I started with 3mg. The first week, it suppressed my appetite well. The second week, I didn’t feel anything at all, and now I’ve increased the dose to 5mg and am starting to notice a slight effect again. No side effects so far.

Medications generally don't work as well for me, so I need higher doses. Cagri only really helped for a maximum of two months. It lost its effectiveness quickly, very quickly.

I was hoping Elora would last longer, but it seems to be following the same pattern. However, it doesn't make me feel sick. I just don't feel very hungry. Cagri was more like a bulldozer. Elora is much gentler.
Out of interest , what is the context of this? Start weight?, current weight? time on GLP drugs? Age? height?

Curious as to if this is a post weight loss problem ( where the drugs only seem to not work, but are preventing regain ) or a not responding well problem?

It is interesting that you describe them only working for a short time. In general there really is not much evidence for tolerance to GLP drugs, but I wonder how well this applies to those who respond poorly?

Started last year September wirh 128kg with Reta 2mg. Lost about 15kg until January.

Current weight is 102kg. Age 38, 170cm.

I generealy need more medication as others to feel something from it.

If you are down 26 kg from 128 , over a bit less than a year, then that is still 20% weight loss, which is not above average for tirz or reta, but not terrible, and is enough to substantially alter the way the drugs might work , as basically all the work of the GLP drug is now used up stopping you from regaining the 20% with not much if any left to cause more weight loss. I think it is extremely important to consider this issue as otherwise it can look like the drugs just do not work at all, when what they are doing is preventing weight regain.

It sounds like you are not a low responder, more like a bit below average but well within the bulk of the average set of responses.

Hopefully adding elora to reta is enough to cause further weight loss, especially if the reta dose cannot be increased due to side effects. In the preliminary tirz plus elora study it did cause 11% extra weight loss at 9mg added to 15 of tirz.

Is that what’s going on? I’ve been on Piracetam for about four days now to hopefully start the flow process of getting my middle aged brain a little sharper. I had no interest in food today and had to make myself eat. Not currently trying to lose weight but been looking for a post weight-loss maintenance plan without a GLP1.

I’m going to give it a couple of weeks to see if everything normalizes, but if not this is even too much appetite suppression. Though I feel like I should qualify that with pointing out I’m a Reta hyper responder.

How is it going with Elora research? I have started mine 3 days ago at 1mg. Until now awesome. Had constipation during first 2 days. But it is over now. I don't inject any other GLP's at the moment. Though more effective than 5mg Tirz. No hunger feeling at all. I remind myself regularly that, I have to eat. I don't know yet how many days is it going to stay like that. But I won't inject back until I begin to get hunger feeling at a normal level. Then I will decide how often I am going to inject.

Same as last update. Tough to compare since I am stacking 15mg Tirz. Works well for me in maintenance. Tirz is still doing the heavy lifting but a nice addition. Trying to dial in maintenance to see if I even needed it. Will probably stop after next shot to see the difference. It will take some time to unwind as medicine levels have compounded week over week due to extended half life. Solid pep. On 2mg weekly.

You said you're not taking any GLP1 at the moment... is that new with taking Elora or already established?

The long half life compared to typical GLP1 drugs it could make waiting for symptoms (hunger) then dosing a bit of a chaotic feedback loop. I'm not saying it's wrong, or I have a better idea... my thinking is if/when I take Elora and find 1mg doing wonders (for example), I might take .5mg the following week to help stabilize my level's decay to help find my sweet spot.

I have stopped injecting Tirz 20 days ago. I don't know if it is known by elora studies or not. But I have tried it without any other GLP's and it is working for me. That is why it is called my own research and 3 days ago injected it for the first time. So just told what I have been experiencing so far and can not verify if it will stay like that. Also can not recommend it to anybody. I am just comparing my results with his. By the way, also did not have any difficulties during 20 days without tirz and lost >1 kg. Have been observing that weight already 5 days on scale. Did not observe any weight change with elora yet despite remarkable hunger suppression.

One fact I have to mention is that I have never titrated to a higher dose than 5mg tirz during my whole journey of 44 weeks and I am responding to very low doses. So can also not compare my results with yours.
