I started Tirzepatide March 9 at 230 pounds. I’m currently doing half doses twice a week. I’m at 7.5mg total weekly now.

CW: 211

However, according to body scans, I have put on eight pounds of muscle. So I think I’ve lost about 35 pounds of fat. I weight train, run, and do yoga.
That’s a killer recomposition honestly.

Scale says 19 lbs down since starting Tirz, but adding 8 lbs of muscle while dropping fat completely changes the picture. A lot of people only watch scale weight and miss that part.

35 lbs of fat loss while lifting, running, and doing yoga at the same time is serious work. Sounds like you’re doing this the right way instead of crash dieting yourself smaller 👏

Mounjara 2.5mg -->5mg

28 weeks

3 weeks reta 3 mg without weight loss and stopped because of 3 days long heavy diarrhea.

1 week back to tirz at 2.5mg maintenance dosage and everything is back to normal.

GW: 170
51 lbs in 28 weeks and basically sitting on top of your goal weight now is a huge win.

Also smart move backing off the Reta when your body clearly wasn’t tolerating it. Three straight days of heavy diarrhea isn’t worth trying to “push through.” 😩 Sounds like Tirz is your sweet spot anyway if things normalized that fast going back to maintenance.

Honestly… 172 with a 170 goal is basically there already 👏

Thanks! I felt that my muscles were getting softer during week 20 and started 300mcg/day IIPA at week 24. During week 28 added CJC No Dac (300mcg/day IPA+CJC) and regular training. I am at my GW without any issues and will lower maintenance dose to 2mg within 2 days. Reta was completely unnecessary for me and learned my lesson.

I have my official starting numbers, after doing my first dose of reta yesterday!

F/38, SW: 148, GW:130.

Yesterday did a Evolt scan (Bioelectric) because that's whats available at my gym - I know they're not the most accurate, but I like it for keeping track of progress.

Lean body mass: 99lb

skeletal muscle mass: 48lb

Body fat: 33.1%

I lift heavy a few times a week, so hoping to increase muscle mass while decreasing fat. Weight is not my most important number.

That’s actually pretty wild progress for just over a month on only 1mg weekly. You’re clearly responding very strongly even at a low dose.

How’s your appetite suppression and energy been at that dose? Any plans to stay at 1mg since it’s working so well, or are you thinking about titrating up later?

Keep it up!
Yeah, I was pretty fast losing it initially cause it was a lot of glycogen lost and still am losing about 1 lb a week. Right now my updated weight is 127 now, and I'm still on 1 mg weekly, and I did not decide to titrate up because it is still effective for me. The appetite suppression has been really good, but the energy depends on the macronutrient breakdown I had the day prior. So if, for example, yesterday I ate between 150 to 220 grams of carbohydrates, then the next day the energy is pretty good, but then if I eat something below 60 grams of carbs, then it's a really weird feeling because I'm never hungry, but then the energy gets you all tired and everything feels like a chore, mentally and physically. Since reta has been working so well for me, I'm just gonna stick to 1 mg and I don't have any plans on raising it unless I feel as though I need to.

Goal weight 165

Ran tirz 4 1/2 months then switched to Reta for last 2 months . Gonna go back to tirz for last month. Never went higher than 4mg on tirz but split dose it twice a week. Currently split dosing 6mg of Reta.

I never got the appetite suppression with Reta like I did Tirz. And weight loss slowed down significantly with Reta. ( I jumped on the band wagon). But in defense I eat whatever I want on Reta (in moderation still) and was doing a strict diet on Tirz. Lost all but last 6 lbs on Tirz. I’m close to my goal weight and may go slightly below it just because. Plan was to start weaning after I hit my goal and what comes off after that is just a bonus. I feel like I’ve completely 180’d my eating habits in the past 6 1/2 months and should be able to control myself better. If not I got about 5 years if each tucked into the freezer and I’ll re visit them.

Also I drive truck long haul so working out was never gonna be a thing for me !

Nice work. 15kg down since February on just 4mg/week is awesome. Sounds like tirz is working really well for you without needing a high dose.

Keep it going! 💪

Tirzepatide stated at 2.5mg

Now at 6mg plus a 1.5mg bump mid week.

In the those few months. I have also researched or I'm currently researching SS31 Mots-c, Nad plus, 5Amino-1MQ, Aod 9604, semax and lipo c with B12.

I also have purchased a second freezer. I have a stash of 30 vials of tirzepatide and 10 vials of retatrutide.

Im working out 2x a day. I'm eating healthy.

I'm in my 50s. And Im feeling the best I have in years.

I have this forum to thank for my health. And to blame for my new obsession. But hey it's a healthy obsession .

I don't contribute much. But I'm here most days for the info.

Thanks guys..
That’s awesome man. Down 35 lbs since March, working out twice a day, eating right, and feeling better in your 50s than you have in years… hard to argue with those results. Sounds like you really committed to the process and it’s paying off.

And yeah… this stuff definitely turns into a hobby fast. One minute it’s “I’ll try tirz,” next thing you know there’s a peptide freezer in the garage and spreadsheets for dosing. 😂

Seriously though, glad to hear your health is moving in the right direction. That’s the part that matters most.

Appreciate You! 👊

Started Tirz (prescribed) on since Mar 31/2025, diagnosed T2D. 😡

HW: 385lbs

SW: 331lbs (A1c 11.0) Mar 31/2025

CW: 211lbs (A1c 5.4) May 27/2026

120 lbs gone in 14 months (reached my goal "215 lbs" almost to the day!!)

Re-evaluating everything now... However, I continue to take Tirz, 7.5mg every 5 days

My journey consisted of:

Restricted calorie intake (1560cals/day),

IF (18/6 mostly)

Limited my daily carb intake to 50-80g...

I stuck with this religiously for the 1st 8 months....then allowed myself some "cheat bites" here and there!! Yes...Cheat bites!! Haha... I've loosened up 😆 since meeting my goal!

I didn't have an exercise plan, and didn't spend any time in the gym...On occasion, when i felt i needed it, I walked, and rode my bike! Recently adding some strength training...but struggling to stay consistent with it!!

I think fasting, and consistency was key to my success....I've gained and lost so many times in my 50 yrs....I think i finally figured it all out!!

Start weight : 167 kg

Current weight: 103 kg

Timeframe : Dec 27th, 2024 -> April 2026

Protocol: Mounjaro for 6 months (2.5 - 3.5 - 5 - 6 mg), then 6 months without peptides, then 3 months Reta (1 - 2 - 4 mg), now after reaching target weight: daily GHK-cu 2,5 mg and Ipa 2 x 0,25mg

Bodyfat: Dropped from 45% to 16%
That’s an insane transformation. Dropping from 167kg to 103kg and going from 45% to 16% body fat in a little over a year is serious dedication, not just peptides. The consistency is what stands out most, especially maintaining for 6 months without anything. Respect. 👊

I was 370 11 years go. Dropped to 340 in preparation for vertical sleeve surgery.

I went down to 260 post surgery and ended up back at 303 at the start of glp1s.

So March 6, I was 303

I did 5 weeks of tirz, dropping to 285

Since April 9, I've been on reta. I did 2mg to start, now at 4mg.

I didn't lose any weight for the first 4 weeks of reta (also didn't gain). As soon as i was in the 5th week, the weight started dropping consistently.

So today, on my 12th week, I am 275.

28 lbs down.

Goal weight is 239, which will put me under 30 BMI.

Crazy thing is that on Reta, it seems like even though I make sure to drink lots of water, get electrolytes, and get more than 100 grams of protein a day, other than that, it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. Weight is still dropping.
That’s actually really encouraging progress, especially after the regain post-surgery. A lot of people would’ve quit mentally after climbing back over 300. The fact you stayed with it and are now down to 275 is huge.

Interesting about the reta delay too. Seems like quite a few people report that “nothing for weeks, then suddenly steady loss” effect once they build up enough exposure. And yeah, one of the wild things with reta is how forgiving it can make the diet compared to older approaches. Sounds like you’ve got the basics dialed in with protein, hydration, and electrolytes, which is probably helping preserve muscle while the weight comes off.
