Do You Filter Your Peptides Before Use?

thanks folks (hat tip to AndyPanda) snagged box to deal with imported carnitine and glutathione in amps

I filtered my latest vial and I don't think I did it right, so now I don't wanna do it again but I know I should. 😭

What did you do that you think was wrong?

I think I should have used a smaller filter. I had a 13mm and I probably should have had a 4mm. I also tried to flush what was left in the filter but I don't think I did it correctly. I think it may be the reason my first pin of Tirz using that vial was less "potent" I guess than my previous vial that I didn't filter.

nothing wrong with 13mm vs 4mm. they both work fine.

Losing some in the filter wont change the concentration.

Every vial is slightly different anyways, and you can't judge anything based on how it felt.

Anyone pre-wet filter & rinse? …& where do we find sterile vialls? Thanks! 🙂

Step-by-Step Best Practice

Dissolve peptide in appropriate buffer or solvent.

Pre-wet your filter with 0.2–0.5 mL of the same solvent.

Filter slowly — do not force it too hard, which can shear molecules or cause binding.

Measure final volume to account for any loss.

(Optional) Rinse filter with a small amount of solvent to recover residual peptide.

(Thx ChatG!) 😉

When I do filter, I don't bother trying to reclaim $0.03 worth of peptide.

True. They were different vials from different vendors as well, so there's also that. I would imagine things vary with each vendor as well.

Not likely cellulitis (if self-diagnosed), per Google Gemini:

Wasn’t cellulitis at all. It was an injection site reaction. All those antibiotics are why we have resistant strains of bacteria. If that is cellulitis I get it daily x6 with every shot I take. And it resolves in a few hours, or a day, without antibiotics. Would go away faster if I bothered to apply cold or heat, but I don’t bother. I just try not to scratch for the first 15 minutes (they itch).

My understanding is that most of the people who died had some preexisting condition that was complicated by the virus. Unlike a previous accusation on here, I know a lot of people from all of the Country. As selfish as it sounds, I work in an industry that never slowed down during the “pandemic” and I recall several of my coworkers and employees using COVID as an excuse to miss work, only to be seen on Facebook doing anything but suffering. Maybe I’m just jaded.
I didn’t lose people, but my previously healthy cousin’s husband was on a vent for 6 weeks and still has complications from it. A coworker’s healthy husband was left oxygen dependent. I got it 3 times and while I was lucky and never got super sick (also got the vaccine so that might have helped) but each time I was left so broken winded afterward that I couldn’t walk a block without stopping at least once to breathe for 6-8 weeks. I’m sure my lungs have some long lasting damage. And I saw my patients lose people. I was working hospice- home visits- and when a patient got Covid, the CNA was allowed to stay home and the nurse did total care… plus routine care for their other patients. That company was horrible- they fired me the last time I got COVID because I wouldn’t come in and see patients (I had already found a new job, they just saved me the stress of giving notice). Then 3 months later their director got caught doing something she should have lost her license for and she told the rest of the employees that she “just knew I had done it.” I was amused. And glad I was gone. The next company I worked for was completely different; if I had been working there I would have only gotten it once (first time was unofficial because they were only testing people who had been to China or had a positive contact who had been to China. I was caring for a special needs child whose dad had just come back from a classified security deployment. (I lived near Killeen/Fort Hood/Cavasos). He came home sick and his wife had what they said was the flu.. But she ended up in the hospital.

are these for drawing out of ampules? thats why they're blunt. For the glutathione?
Yes. For drawing from ampules. Usually for B Complex and Vitamin D. For my glutathione I buy regular 1.5gm 5ml vials of ascorbic acid now.

Our friend Died in just 4 days. Not vaccinated, and no underlying conditions. I knew a guy who was bedridden for a month. His girlfriend had to keep him in a diaper. It really did kill so many people and ruined the lives of others with long Covid. Tragic and very sad.

So do you draw with blunt filter the remove and put on a sharp for injection or transfer to vial?

I have watched the peptide testers you tube, but theres a lot to remember in that one.

I just draw whatever it is into an EasyTouch syringe barrel using the filter and then replace the tip with an EasyTouch hypodermic needle and inject IM. I have done it the way you are explaining in the past with a few things.

I didnt know that the easy touch syringes come apart like the luer lock? I thought I needed those. Also Do the blunt syringes pierce the vial stoppers? I assumed not..
