I have spent the last ten days hesitating, procrastinating, deliberating, and wasting. Due to the shutdown/seizure, I couldn't bring myself to start using Reta. I only have 3 vials I got locally. Finally, my Fvck it gene kicked in, today I reconstituted and stabbed Reta in. I started with 1mg. I messed up using the filter so am sure the dose wasn't kosher, but screw it.YOLO.
Does anybody have any tips, apart from getting a will done? I am 253lbs now. I will of course put updates when they're worthy of mention.
Anyway, I'm officially a Retatrudite now. Let the games begin!
Congrats - sorry I’m relatively late to the party, still may be helpful to share:
For context, 50 yo male 6’0, SW 241.2 July 2024 / CW 190 / GW 175
Transitioned from 92 shots of Tirz a month ago, last dose 12mg, started Reta a month ago
My first dose knowing I was highly respondent to Tirz was 1mg, this became my dosing schedule over the last four weeks:
Week 1: 1mg
Week 2: 1mg
Week 3: 2mg (1mg 2x weekly)
Week 4: 3mg (1mg 1x, 2mg 1x)
Week 5: 4mg (unsure whether I go 1x or 2x)
My big lesson learned is I didn’t really feel appetite control literally until today. My first second weekly shot of Reta (2mg), putting me on path to being 4mg next week.
I took the dosage from the minimum dosage from the phase 3 trial data, released yesterday by Lilly.
I’m definitely feeling a more pronounced appetite governor with the higher dose (2mg 2x per week, total of 4mg) so I intend to stay here as long as I can.
That schedule is the only advice I can give you at this early stage, all other things being equal:
Ex: Make sure you do resistance training, get your body’s weight in protein grams, stay in consistent calorie deficit, track intake, get 150 oz of water every day, get good sleep.
