This is excellent advice. You presumably know, but tracking your lipid profile and liver markers with taking Reta is interesting, too, because it made massive improvements for me.Retarage said:My best advice is to know your resting heart rate pre Reta and monitor for changes.

With all due respect, I can't agree with on a lot of this, esp........wulf00777 said:Understand that reta is slow, 8 weeks minimum before you will lose weight. You may need to titrate up to 4mg to 6mg before anything happens. At your weight understanding that your calorie requirements may be very low due to metabolic adaptation. 800 calories a day finally got me losing. You may be very hungry when you first start as the appetite suppression doesn't engage for a bit. Use a low calorie high protein meal replacement powder because that's the only way you can get enough protein with these calorie reductions. The one I use is 120 calories for every 23g protein and uses grass fed beef and veggies for the protein. Magnesium 1000mg, electrolytes, creatine, and a few prunes all keep the system humming.
Sadly, my insurance dumped me and since my last name isn't Bezos or some version of "Stein", I can't do tests in this land.Gt3294a said:This is excellent advice. Being that the person is 253 lbs they will likely respond differently than you, have metabolic adaptation and severe insulin resistance. My advice is based off a person who has difficulty losing weight due to metabolic adaptation over years. But I fully agree to start low and titrate slowly.CharlieBrown said:With all due respect, I can't agree with on a lot of this, esp........
"Understand that reta is slow, 8 weeks minimum before you will lose weight. You may need to titrate up to 4mg to 6mg before anything happens".
Everyone reacts differently to the peptide. Some people have a major appetite suppression with just 5.0mg.
Others like myself had none, not even at 8mg.
I lost weight immediately and steadily since I started in January at 0.5mg
Try to eat real food as much as possible and keep the replacement stuff as a last resort.
I started with 1900 calories, 140g protein and 25g fibre right from day one; eating every 2/2.5 hours smaller meals and still do it to this day.
Starting weight was 165lbs - now at 141lb
I hate body hair too, but I hate having to shave even more. Such a chore. Damn the lengths a man has to go to procure adoration from those without a Y chromosome. As if stabbing oneself with several Chinese molecules wasn't enough, now I have to become a regular barber too? Man, fudge this feces.CharlieBrown said:You'll be sorry.........going off topic here. Shoulders, arms & back - waxed
The rest gets the smallest attachment on the clippers once a week
Can't believe I'm posting this....lol
I hear you, Sir. I was diabetic before, and was around 340lbs when I had the Sleeve gastrectomy. It's near certain that I've some metabolic maladaptation.wulf00777 said:Being that the person is 253 lbs they will likely respond differently than you, have metabolic adaptation and severe insulin resistance.

That's the plan.. My family has a love-hate relationship with whey protein shakes. I love it and they hate it. Can't really blame them, downwind breaks hard.Xylez said:服用瑞塔期间,蛋白粉对我帮助很大,让我轻松摄入蛋白质,不用强迫自己进食。每天230克的蛋白质对我的减重和肌肉保持都很有帮助。

Not for me it wasn't. I lost the first and second week at 2mg, and continue to lose at 6mg.wulf00777 said:Understand that reta is slow, 8 weeks minimum before you will lose weight. You may need to titrate up to 4mg to 6mg before anything happens.

Awesome but the reason I mentioned it is because over and over and over I see people at 6 or 8 weeks asking why they are not losing. It's very common especially for those with more entrenched obesity.BNLFL said:Not for me it wasn't. I lost the first and second week at 2mg, and continue to lose at 6mg.

I can't speak for all women, but as long as I don't have to wade through a forest of hair, I don't really care. I also can't stand body hair (on myself) so I am pretty on top of that one too, though I can't manage my right underarm right now for reasons you and I both share, so that might be a problem when I can finally manage it. I got them waxed before my surgery though just as a buffer, and didn't think clearly about how I'd manage it down the line.Smiter said:Just to confirm, what parts would one have to Manscape? It's already there, laser hair removal. It can be pricey and requires multiple sessions but it is available. Now if any of you big tough men shaving your legs and arms are brave enough you could use an epilator. The results last a couple weeks instead of a couple days. I refuse to life without mine.Smiter said:Okay I'm willing to award the Nobel prize to the dude who invents permanent exorcism of this infernal body hair.

Yes I had a great reaction the first week, then less appetite suppression (same with my dad). The appetite suppression is less important for Reta. Really your focus should be on maintaining protein and less about calories for now. Slowly work your way up and when you start losing weight or have enough appetite suppression to help you lower calories then stop tirtating up. But there's using reta as Reta and then there's using reta like tirz for the appetite suppression. Using reta as reta means you get the 3rd agonist going which really kicks in at 4mg or higher.Smiter said:This could be a placebo effect, but I'm less hungry too. I can't eat as much as I did yesterday. This could be because I have used GLP before in 2020-2022 when I was diabetic, or it could be due to the sleeve gastrectomy I had.
Great, just great. Just what I wanted to hear.wulf00777 said:I had a great reaction the first week, then less appetite suppression
Ha! Nice try. There is nothing and I mean absolutely nothing... that logically ties epilator use and courage. I just have this congenital allergy to pain.SeaGypsy said:shaving your legs and arms are brave enough you could use an epilator. The results last a couple weeks instead of a couple days.
Now, if that ain't peak-level hypocrisy, I dont know what is. You can't stand it yourself, but you give hope to men who are hirsutically challenged.domin8brix said:I can't speak for all women, but as long as I don't have to wade through a forest of hair, I don't really care. I learnt this the hard way at the most inopportune of times. Wearing a Fiitbit watch during a quickie is one thing, having it show 150bpm is quite another. Now it is showing resting rate at 81. It used to be 69.SeaGypsy said:This!my RHR went up pretty high. Way out of my normal ranges
