I totally think you should get one of these from your mom. And share what you find here. I will be interestedto know if your being woken up for the same reason. Here's a screenshot.
I put on the cgm. It kept waking me up with warning my blood glucose was 59. This was after calibration. It started giving warning when it went under 70. I haven't had the symptoms and I did try to eat a snack before bed.

I didn't know what causes it but I don't like it.

How long have you been wearing it? Is this happening every night?

I woke up 4 times with low glucose the first night. I ate cottage cheese before bed the second night, woke up twice. Now I'm eat a reasonable dinner and I'm sleeping threw the night. Rarely going low blood sugar.

Are y'all finger sticking and confirming the low CGM reading? I'm not familiar with CGM, but I know false compression lows are a thing.

No I'm not comfirming, that's a good idea. I will look around to buy a test kit.

I calibrated with finger stick. Not gonna lie I went back to sleep each time it woke me. I used my aunt's glucose meter to calibrate after wearing 24hrs which is the instruction.

Little over 48 hours now, calibrated after 24 hrs per instructions.

Calibration would have no bearing on a compression low.

That's true but it's on my right arm and I sleep on my left side so it's not being compressed.

Considering CGM are not particularly accurate compared to finger sticks.. my whole question was based on verifying you're actually low before worrying about actually being low.

Exactly. For a family member, even the expensive (for insurance) Dexcom 7 was very disappointing with accuracy.

I got all excited for wearing a CGM, I'm not diabetic but definitely a data nerd... until I found the data wasn't to a standard that I could care about.

I sure hope these lows while sleeping are not real. This really scared me, and got me to stop my fasting. Fasting really helped me.
Same thing happened here. False alarms of low blood sugar in the middle of the night. They aren't even on GLPs.

From my research, the most accurate blood glucose meter may be Contour NEXT.

Oh I would go to my doctor. I do know I have adrenaline like surges that wake me, and some kind of autonomic disorder since my 20s. I'm just now piecing it together. Plan to take to my doctor on the 27th
